Trichome photos are of my second critical plant that is gonna go for another 1-2 weeks…Today I harvested my most mature critical plant with my third still 3 weeks behind…She gave me 82 grams on top of the 17g harvested when I damaged my plant accidentally. That’s about 3.5 oz which when dried will probably be roughly 1.5 oz. I am loving the way the buds look and I did harvest her with mostly milky trichomes and very minimal amber..would’ve waited longer but I saw my trichomes frying off my top buds..my grow lights aren’t dimmable..heat was too much and the plant was super tall…so now I’m thinking about adding a flower tent with just one 1000w that’s adjustable! Learning a lot and loving this journey! Next post will be my harvest of my second critical and that’ll be a wrap on this diary!

Hey guys sorry that the photos are so blurry but one of my plants appears to have milky try combs but she still has a few white pistols all around her judging by these photos I posted do you think she is ready for harvest or should I wait another week or two?

You have a little bit more to go. I know this part is really exciting but give it a bit more time (can't say exactly but definitely 1 week, might be more like 2/3) it will be worth it. Wait till you at least start seeing some amber trichomes, then harvest (I recommend 20% amber trichomes).

Week 11..white pistils popping out all over the place and still only milky trichomes on the buds. How much longer would you wait to harvest? I think I can wait one more week but I feel like even then she won’t be ready.

hey fellow grower. I guess the best tip is to follow your instinct, because you are right at least 2 weeks more, maybe 3. But to stop guessing check trichomes(60-100x zoom) and check buds not leaves or sugar leaves, usually first harvest is considered if everything is more or less milky.. but you will get head high mostly... then if you wait a bit more and you get 10-20% amber and the rest is milky... then harvest for the best combo head/body high... if you will wait even more you will get lots of amber, then you will get mostly a downer body stone... whatever you prefer... and nothing happens in an hour, so you actually have days to decide to chop her or not, when it looks good to you... good luck and best harvest 👍

@Seedsman, I appreciate your input! I was thinking to push it another week. Week 13 I’ll aim to harvest :) surprised to see no amber on the buds still, but they are becoming more frequent on the sugar leaves !

Yeah, I completely agree, don't toss out a first grow, see it through whatever as you'll still enjoy the bud even if you know you could have done a little better. Even the slowest and smallest plants will still produce something you can dry and cure.
