Week 2 of flower, plants have stretched so much.. defo think I over vegged them..
Smell is starting to pickup and the leafs taste sweet and spicy, I eat the leaf I pick to let the light penetrate into the lower bud sites.. good eating lol
*Update - TEXT WALL ... if you can climb it?
Trying out a "natural" Light Cycle to finish from 3rd week of flower...
Method - Lights will decrease by 15min p/week until reaching a max of 9h30m "Lights On", at the start of week 8 of flower... e.g replicating winters darkest week.
This cycle, due to timer switch decrease in 15m blocks, is as close as I can go to replicating the natural 2-3min p/day (avg 15min p/week) reduced daylight through from the Vernal Equinox (day & night the same lenght) in autumn into winter's lowest 9h30m of daylight.. I.e going to replicate the "circadian rythmn"
Theory - Plants don't natural get a constant 12/12hrs yet still grow fat buds outside in nature.. as can be seen from MANY outdoor growers.
The plants only need 12/12 to "flip"... so clearly in nature... the natural 2-3min p/day reduction in daylight is actually aiding in flower development.
This is likely because the plant realises it needs to focus purely on flowering before the daylight reaches to low to continue growth...
Thus the theory is sustained 12/12hrs is in fact hindering the plant's need to focus purely on flowering due to the sustained max daylight hrs to trigger "flip", instead is slowing bud development as it made "comfy" to keep growing awaiting for the urgency of decreasing daylight that never eventuates
So..In short.. 12/12 causes a requirement to start flower, while the continued reduction in daylight, causes urgency to focus soley on flowering.
If correct.. saving made in electricity bills...
@gottagrowsometime, hey, i use H202 as it supply O2 for the germination process. Really old seeds can be germinated via H2O2 and sucrose within a test tube on cotton wool. It also kills any fungi spores that can kill the seedling. There is a good video on "debacco university" of seed germination. The key elements are Moisture/O2/Sugars and Temperature. Mad respect to ya my man ๐๐
@DutchPassion_Official, thanks, looking foward to it, i grew the other seeds outside in my garden a few years ago and they were a nice smoke. Mad respect ๐๐
@BudBoutique, cheers my man, I think I over vegged them as they are getting pretty close to the light and it's already on 100%
The leaf display they can take it but are getting so close if they keep stretching ๐ฑ
Would you advise someone who is growing this to lollipop quite severely? In your pics you called some popcorn nodes leeches so Iโm guessing that was quite a long way below the canopyโฆ
