@gottagrowsometime, hey, i use H202 as it supply O2 for the germination process. Really old seeds can be germinated via H2O2 and sucrose within a test tube on cotton wool. It also kills any fungi spores that can kill the seedling. There is a good video on "debacco university" of seed germination. The key elements are Moisture/O2/Sugars and Temperature.
