D9 - 9.21 - Just growing growing growing. All of them have nice velvety roots lining the bottom of the cups 💪😬 D10 - 9.22 - Super impressed by the growth and color of these ladies D13 - 9.25 - Transplanted into my 5 Gallon fabric pots with 1/3 Nature's Living Soil Super soil mix on bottom and fox farms on top ------------ Right now these are under 250w (True watts) of LED. One of the lights is a "600w" Phlizon full spectrum, the other is a "600w" YGrow for a mixture of 2-peak blurple and 3500k, respectively D14 - 9.26 - Loving their new pots and tent space! 👽👍

How long does it usually take to get to node 5-6 for different plants? I intend to main-line and am just curious your experiences.

Hi @NullHypothesis! With good genetics I'd say 3 weeks, but every strain + environment + grower's ability is different! Mainlining is a rewarding approach, you'll have a beautiful and heavy canopy! Happy growing 👊

Super soil growers ever come across any deficiencies? See a couple lower fan leaves I removed today. I'm sure leaf loss to some extent is natural, but I read that the lower leaves are your indicators, so I wanted to run these by yall to see if you suspect and deficiencies

Hello @NullHypothesis ! Yes you can experience deficiencies from super soils but having a deficiency doesn't necessarily means that your soil doesn't have the nutrients. Deficiencies can also come from over/under water and other reasons. What recipe of super soil you use? If you made your own you might didn't use enough amendments. Also did you let your soil to compost before you use it? If you didn't then the nutrients in your soil might not be available for the plants yet unless you used fast absorption amendments like blood meal, guano's and stuff like that . I wouldn't advise you to use any PK since the philosophy behind using super soil is to avoid bottled nutrients. First check your watering cycles and second use a basic compost tea. It will give to the soil large populations of beneficial bacteria that will brake down the organic matter very fast. Happy growing ! 👍

Am I correct in diagnosing this as Calcium deficiency in the Black Sugar? I gave a basic compost tea yesterday. What else can I do to ensure she makes it through harvest?

Hi @NullHypothesis! You are right, it looks like a Calcium deficiency. The weird thing is that this deficiency only shows up onto new leaves, whereas you seem to be having issues with old leaves. Now the big question is: what could have led to this situation? Have you been giving some extra cal+mag during the growth? Your pH looks fine, are you using RO water? Could it be a potassium abuse, making the rootzone unable to handle calcium intakes anymore? You can add some cal-mag or epsom-salt into your next feedings, it's probably a bit late because the deficiency has been there for a while, but it worth a try, Happy growing 👊

@Stick, thanks for the thoughts! I haven't given anything to the soil except some super soil concentrate top dressings and a basic compost tea. I top dressed week 7/8, gave compost tea a few days ago and top dressed a little more this morning. It was using a foliar spray during veg, but obviously stopped 4 weeks ago. I don't use RO, but I built a berkey and run my tap water through it before pHing with earth juice. I'm a little confused, as it is just this one plant, and I have two other black sugars in the same soil not showing deficiencies. 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully she finishes ok..
