1 of each seed sprouted 4 days after soaking for 18 hours and being planted in their starter pots. The last seed to sprout was a Critical Purple. They were kept under a humidity dome with grow light bars.
Stop touching the stuff, leave it alone. It will be slow just be patient. Don't overwater. This is the slowest part of the process and the soil and seed will do the work.
I learned at this point how to water a little better and started to use a very small mix of Big Bloom. I know Ocean Forest will do most of the heavy lifting at this point so I am trying to not over do it. Each plant is numbered as well and at this point its easy to see plant one (Rightmost plant) is behind just as it was on germination.
It is transplant time, despite many people advising not to transplant autos this was pretty painless. The moment the roots showed out the bottom told me it was time. These AC Infinity fabric pots have about 3 inches of room for future soil if it becomes necessary. The soil was saturated with pH balanced water right after transplant then I continued feeding.
Finally it feels like the plants actually are growing. They are being fed ever third day, the soil is about dry at that point without the plants wilting. However it has still been easy to overwater. This week I noticed Fungus Gnats in the soil, to combat this I bought a simple organicide and mosquito bits.
This week consisted of a power outage, topping, trellising, and a feeding change for one plant. No plants are showing deficiencies one leaf has a small amount of damage from organicide staining. Plant #3 (THC Bomb) has been growing upward at a great rate requiring lots of training to help with light height consistency.
I did try two different methods of topping however they all resulted in the same end result. I am happy with the growth post top considering it has only been one week.
The plants have started to flip into flower. Due to the stretch I applied more LST and the Trellis training. I did take out some old leaves off the base of the stems. I also bought a shitty dehumidifier. It is really struggling to keep up at all, I would like the humidity about 5 to 7 percent lower.
This week is the start of major flower growth. I had a slight nutrient imbalance while backing off on Grow Big. I reduced a tad too soon and had to add more. I started to take out any leaves that show distress or age. Busy week for me not a lot of comment. The Tricomes are starting to appear.
I noticed some slight changes in leaves that looked to be Magnesium deficiency and my shop recommended to add a bit of calmag and epson. The epson is done once weekly. Several leaves were pruned off if they were showing signs of decline.
They are getting much more thirsty. Lots of leaves have been depleted and pulled from the plant. I have fixed the VPD/Humidity issue. However it has been a little hot in the tent so I have been adjusting airflow and fan position.
Another week of thinking my plants are done. They decided to add more onto the canopy as I was thinking they were getting too hot. I raised the light and they grew more. I am concerned with the curling of the leaves being heat, then nutrient excess or deficiency to a possible lock out. Other than the leaves freaking out on one plant they seem to be healthy and constantly bulking up.
Only one feed this week to start to wind down the nutrients. The first milky have started to appear. One more week till chop at this rate. Happy with the first grow cant wait to see if it bears fruit.
Last feed was a week from chop less than half strength then water out. I had all of my grow friends say it looks mature and frankly I needed to chop on the weekend because my week was going to be insane. I am doing a full plant hang in my new 4x8 tent and doing some trimming as I go but most will be reserved for dry trimming. I did start my next round of seeds before the chop and they germinated successfully so next 3 plants will be on their way soon. I will update at finish of harvest.
Plant one only yielded about 3.5 oz but it is the best tasting of the harvest. Plant 2 has a kinda harsh smell and didn't keep its bulk. it yielded about double at 7 ounces.
