Week 5 of Vegetative Growth with Scrog Netting Growth: Week 5 in the vegetative stage has seen remarkable changes in my cannabis plants, and the introduction of a SCROG (Screen of Green) net has been a game-changer. The plants are filling out beautifully under the netting, and the canopy is becoming denser than ever. The two main colas per plant are now spreading horizontally, creating a level, even growth pattern. This is exactly what I was hoping to achieve with the SCROG method. Nutrients: I've maintained my Plagron Sugar Royal nutrient regimen at 1ml per liter, and the plants continue to thrive. There are no signs of nutrient-related issues, and the leaves remain healthy and green. Lighting: The 18/6 light schedule with my LED grow light is working wonders. The plants are reaching up toward the light, and the SCROG net ensures that each bud site is exposed to the optimal amount of light. SCROG Training: The introduction of the SCROG net has allowed me to weave the growing branches through the grid, ensuring an even canopy. This method promotes better light distribution and increased bud development potential. It's exciting to see how the plants adapt to this training technique. Environmental Conditions: Temperature and humidity levels have been consistently ideal. With temperatures around 75°F (24°C) and humidity hovering around 50%, the plants are comfortable and thriving. Conclusion: As we conclude Week 5 of the vegetative stage, the SCROG netting has had a significant impact on the growth of my cannabis plants. The plants have filled out the canopy beautifully, and I'm thrilled with the progress they've made. With the foundation we've laid and the SCROG technique in place, I'm eager to transition to the flowering stage and see the results of this carefully managed growth.
