Do Over Day 1: Planted seeds (10/4/2018)
** Auto White Widow Feminized Seeds is a High THC and Medium (1-5%) CBD strain with White Widow x Ruderalis genetics of the Feminized variety.
Day 4
Winnie continues to hang on, but does not look good.
transplanted her to a smaller pot and fully flushed. Prayers are being said. :(
both new seeds germinated and popped out of the ground.
sprayed with water
Day 15
Everything good.
Still just light and water.
Day 17
Looking good.
Transplanted both plants to larger (final) pots.
Good drink of water and raised the lights a bit.
Day 19
Looking healthy
A cap full of Dr. Earth diluted tea (1/4 cup Dr. Earth per quart of water, let set, strain out solid) Stinks, but lots of good organics. ewww
Good drink of water.
Day 21
Both plants look good,
Topped both plants
Gave them a drink
Training will start as soon as the new growth starts
* side note, I planted the toppings and will try to grow them as clones. A long shot, but no down side.
* The grow tent and 150watt light has really improved my set up.
Day 25
Starting LST with both plants
Plant #1 is a straight bend over training. I will defoliate as I go.
Plant #2 I am trying a mainline training. Not quite a textbook example, but I'll see where this goes.
still just water and light, plants are really starting to grow fast.
Day 28
Trimmed the top section for the mainline
defoliated the "bend over" plant
a cap full of Dr. Earth tea
Water
* attempting to root two of the toppings
Day 30
all looks good.
the bend over plant is starting to flower, it looks very good, with 4 colas formed
the mainline plant is looking real good, will need to wait for the arms to grow out a bid before topping them.
Day 34
maybe a bit too much water. Bent over LST plant is a bit wilted, but still looks real good. I'll make a note to hold off on watering.
mainline LST is looking real good, but is slow in developing.
fed both plants with 2 cap fulls of miracle grow
* The two topping that I cloned are in plain water and look to be developing roots (fingers crossed).
slow growth with the mainline LST, but it's coming along, some flowering
the simple bend over LST looks stringy, but healthy, developing buds
Day 42
mainline is beginning to shape up and fill out
bend-over still skinny, but has developed 4 codas that are flowering
Both plants look very healthy
Week 7
11/28/2018
Day 50
all looks good
mainline LST is going well, flowering, but it did not stretch up, I think I did not defoliate enough
bend-over LST is doing great, budding well and still filling out, has 4 nice codas
this method seems to work very well and is very easy to do.
* the clone clipping I took from the mainline has taken hold (or appears to have, looks like new growth) we'll see!
* added a 1/2 gallon container filled with water and a cloth 'wick' to see if I can create more humidity. Current humidity is only 40%.
Still on 18/6 schedule, will move to 16-14-12 this week and remain at 12/12 until harvest in a few weeks.
start of week 8
11/29/2018
Day 56
All is good
Moving to 16-14-12 in a consecutive days, will stay at 12/12 for two more weeks
Day 60
I think I'm going to harvest the one plant (bend over method). It is budded really well and appears to be ready. The mainline method is flowering well now, but seems to be well behind the other plant. I am going to let her continue to flower and will harvest in another week or so.
* The clone is still growing, kind of funky, but I'll just let it go and do its think.
Harvest looks like it will be much better than my first grow. 4 nice codas on the bendover plant, and lots of flowering and budding on the mainline. I'm happy with the grow so far. What ever I get with the clone is a bonus.
* Harvested the BendOver LST plant. The codas were getting heavy and looked very good.
It is drying in the garage.
Wet weight was 3.15 ounces, hope to get an ounce or more out of it.
The mainline LST plant does not look ready, the flowers are still mostly white and complete buds have not formed. I lowered the light to about 10 inches over the plant, and will keep it growing for another week or 2. It still looks very healthy, just stunted. I think I should have defoliated a bit more.
The clone is looking good and growing new leaves. I have started 3 new plants in a new grow and will put the clone in with them when they come up.
Day 64: the mainline LST is starting to fill out nicely, it has gotten much more pungent and pistols are turning a rich brow. There is an abundance of trichomes on the leaves around the flower. I'm going to leave it another week, maybe two to see if the flowering will fill out a bit more.
* note: there are yellow-brown polka-dots on many of the leaves (Leaf Septoria???).
Update: Per advise from experts (@SpinnerGrow and @bulbi, thanks folks) I added more Dr. Earth - it has cal and mag and I had not used it like last grow. I will try to keep a more regimented nuke and watering next grow.
The clone looks stagnate, not really doing anything, but not dying either. I'll leave it.
I'm going to harvest the mainline at the end of the week. It is very pungent, but never really grew like I thought. The "bend-over" LST did much better, and was easier to do, so I think I will stick with that for the new grow. (we'll see).
Hello ! The dots are sign of a Calcium deficiency. The red stems could be a Magnesium def but could also be a genetic trait (many WW are growing with purple stems) . So apply some Cal-Mag and if the stems continue to grow purple then you only had a Cal def. I hope it will help you. 😁👍
results were OK, about 1.2 Oz dry weight for 2 plants. I was really expecting more this time around, but with my limited space and light, I think this is OK.
