m0useanswered grow question a year ago I think your mixing up the termogoly of things.
Herming or hermi means the plant grew both male and female parts of its own accord. Not something you want.
Reversing is when you introduce silver "STS or CS" into the plants system and cause it to make male reproductive parts on a female plant thus creating female only pollen. STS works better and is easier to use. You simply spray the silver onto a branch and that branch will reverse its sex as silver blocks the one hormone that makes female sex parts and in turn it makes male parts. As the plant is a female it only has female chromosomes vs male ones like from a male plant pollen source. So when the pollen hits the stigma it is fem seed. In normal life pollen is male and stigmas are female and the seeds/kids are a 50/50 mix of male and female, this method make the kids 99.9% fem. but does not protect against disease or hermi traits. it also can weaken its genetics long term if you keep making fem seed from fem plants. best to start with reg seed then Reverse one plant and breed it with another plant.
I have done this using CS and it worked out for me. I did a self back cross and the plants offspring are stable. I started with a good breeder, but I would not use the seeds I created for any other breeding projects as its just not a good idea.
So in short, reverse one part of a single plant "plant A", and pollinate the other plant "plant B" with the pollen the other plant made "plant a pollen".
Plant A pollen >>>> Plant B flowers = seeds, If plant A also makes seeds, they can be used or tossed out, they well be self'd and not as good as the a to b seeds.
Do not use any part of the sprayed reversed plant for smoking or eating. Best to toss it out and skip the compost pile.
Good Luck!
