Hi guys! Another newbie here ;) What a fantastic knowledge base and a great source of aspiration you have. I want in. Please be kind. Planted the seed 01/09 - Seedling 06/09 It took her 5 days to germinate in soil. Learning to use VPD chart, trying to get my head around PAR, LUX and DLI. Support and advice much appreciated, thank you!

What do you guys think is the cause of this? She is only 13 days old. Is it a light burn? She's getting 16-20 DLI until she develops more leaves. Wind? I'm not giving any nuts yet. Even her last water was like a week ago because her soil still feels a bit moist. VPD Early Veg.😽

Puedo pensar que falta un poco de humedad en su sala de cultivo aunque me puedo equivocar. Suba su humedad relativa entre 60% y 70%. Igualmente no es motivo de preocupación. Su planta se encuentra saludable.

VEG WEEK 1 I re-arranged a bit my weeks so it's more clear but I might have lost some information about my light settings. Probably still around 5k lux, 15 DLI. Day 13 gave her a bit of root activator, better late than never. Probably 300ml were too much because her leaves were twisted the next day.

So it seems we made it through the first two weeks of the seedling stage. It's day 15. Even though I dropped a thermometer on her when she was just 2 days old damaging her stem and almost killing her 🙀 Top leaves seem a little twisted. Overwatering? I should probably give her less next time (although she has a tiny neighbor which is "praying to the light god" and feels great after the same amount). DLI ~20-25 PAR ~300 Day 18 200ml water + pH- + 1/2 biogrow dose Day 20 Tried LST although she's not that tall. She didn't seem to mind. Day 21 300ml water + pH- + 1/2 biogrow dose Should I worry about her nodes being so close?

WEEK 3 VEG She's really tiny, but I decided to LST her anyway. She doesn't seem to mind. I raised the lights to 40cm, lux about 15k, still no stretching. Maybe it's just indica genetics making her so bushy. Day 22 gave her 300ml water with 1/2 biogrow dose - should probably give her just water next time. Day 24 damn she's bushy Day 26 It's kinda hard to tuck her huge leaves to let the light pass to the smaller nodes. Internodes so small, almost impossible to properly bend. Water 1L + 0,5ml Biogrow + 0,3ml Calmag ~pH 6,5 Thank you Crashoverite for so many advices! Day 27 lst only main stem Day 28 got high forgot to take pics 😸

Day 29 To be honest I don't know what I'm doing wrong here and how to save her. She's so bushy! I feel like light and air can't get in, she's almost growing inside herself. I raised the light to 75cm DLI 25 ~15k LUX, trying to make her stretch her internodes. Can someone please tell me if that's OK or what should I do? Defoliate? I think I already fckd her up good with my beginner lst skills 😿 Rolled down the edges of the pots to help the bottom leaves. Day 30 Removed a few small leaves that were facing the ground. Water ~1000ml + biogrow 0.5ml / calmag 0.3ml { pH~6.5 } Day 31 Getting her in shape, thinking of removing some big leaves. She makes me worry about humidity and pests. Though she looks nice. People are advising me to top her or mainline. I don't know if I can cut something I was so impatiently growing 😹 Day 32 @Crashoverite motivated me to remove 5-6 biggest fan leaves, so I did my first ever proper defoliation plus some pruning. There were some accidents, I was definitely not high while operating sharp scissors. I left the two big leaves because I thought she had enough for one day. This haircut looks better but what do I know 👽 Day 33 Does she seem less green than yesterday? Made the light to 30k LUX ~30 DLI which is 50% on my dimmer. Distance to light still about 70cm. Day 34 Cut off two more big fat fan leaves from the bottom to help the air flow. The soil was dry, so I gave 500ml of just water and 0.25ml/L Calmag ~6.5pH (no nutrients). She's only 12cm tall, her younger sis is taking over. Day 35 Two more big fat fan leaves cut off to save some space. The light settings 29DLI ~18k LUX.

Hi guys, so she's 29 days old. I feel like light and air can't get in, she's covering her new growth with her big fat fan leaves. I don't think it has to do with distance to the light because I tried being 40cm above and now 75cm, she just keeps growing wider, DLI 25 ~ 15k LUX 😽

I'm not seeing anything wrong with your plant boss. She is stocky yes and a bit behind and I think that has to do with the phenotypes mostly. Also your substrate looks a bit dry so that leads me to believe you may not be watering them enough. Your temps are good just a bit warm but the humidity is good. You could drop the temp a few degrees to help the VPD. Hope this helps bud.

Day 36 Oh girl, I wonder how would she look like if I haven't bent her over. Day 37 Minus another leaf, she's stretching really slowly, but I was able to lst a couple of stems more. Testing DIY scrog, mostly for her step-sis. Thanks to the advice from my more experienced friend Crashoverite, I start switching the light cycle to 16/8 first, then I will do 14/10, and finally 12/12 beginning next week. Day 38 And another leaf down. Just watered them both with 550ml water + 0,5ml/L Calmag + 0,5ml/L Bio-Grow+ 0,3ml/L Bio-Bloom + 0,25ml/L Top-Max ~pH 6,5 Day 39 Minus two big leaves. Trying to get her through the net. Day 40 Lights 14/10, installed second fan for a stronger airflow. Day 41 Watered with 550ml water + 0,5ml/L Calmag + 0,5ml/L Bio-Grow+ 0,3ml/L Bio-Bloom + 0,3ml/L Top-Max ~pH 6,5 Day 42 Light cycle is now 12/12. I gradually reduced it over this week from 18/6 to make her flower. She looks healthy but still grows slow.

Week 7 (October 18-25) Day 43 Welp, let's see if she starts flowering this week. The lights cycle is 12/12. Gave her proper watering ~1250ml ~pH6.5 with 0.5ml/L Calmag and 1ml/L Biogrow. Day 44 I think I saw some pistils 💪 Tucked some leaves under Scrog but she's so bushy compared to Orion and desperately needs a haircut. As advised by my personal grow coach friend Crashoverite the power of the light went up 10W 😎 I only see 7 heads, does this mean there's still 8th hidden somewhere beneath the leaves? Day 45 Nah those were not white hairs but rather lots of new leaves 😹 Day 46 Gosh so many leaves. Re-arranged her tops a bit. Trying to feel top-right 8 squares of the scrog😸 I think there are pistils actually... Day 47 I think I removed too many leaves, she didn't like it and looked sad right after. I know, bad timing. Gave her ~1750ml water with bg and calmag to let her know I'm sorry. Had to do it because she was growing in on herself and it was getting dense and I noticed some moist on a leaf. Day 48 All good. My dwarf girl is not angry anymore. She loved her water and finally gained some vertical growth and is now 18cm tall 😻 Almost as high as her Orion roommate. She looks healthy, so far no obvious flowers, just some ghost hairs. Day 49 Today I can say she started producing pistils, after a week of 12/12. She also grew vertically almost twice as much in the last couple of days as in her whole life, still a dwarf though 😹 Her big fat fan leaves invade Orion's sunbathing space, I have to do something about it.

Week 8 (Oct25-Nov1) Day 50 So we're all finally flowering. I had to remove a couple more fan leaves, some were violation Orion's bud growing space 😹 I also repositioned one branch to another scrog square in hopes to get more light inside of this bushy lady. Day 51 Cleared up the bottom part before feeding ~1500ml (I should probably scale up to 2L per plant next feed). She's growing and flowering. I'm still amazed they haven't died yet 😹 Day 52 Cut out one more leaf that was covering everything. Scrogged one more branch but couldn't yet reach the bottom right square, maybe tomorrow. Basically tried making more light pass with as little leaf removal as possible 😷 Day 53 Tried bending the branch to move to the bottom right square of the scrog but it was kinda stiff. I think I accidentally supercropped this branch I mean I didn't snap it but I damaged the tissue inside the stem. I cut a piece of plastic straw to put around the damaged part to help it stay straight. 👺 I hope she will be OK, I mean she survived so much abuse. I should probably stop trying to move big branches. I also cut off one of the biggest fan leaves at the top, which was covering her middle part and was making the other leaves sweat. 💀 Day 54 As I was hoping for she couldn't care less and just keeps growing 😸 I notice "praying" leaves for the last couple of days which is awesome, and I remove a few more from down under to help the air flow. I'd rather stun her a bit than have mold or powdery mildew 👹 Day 55 Took off the plastic straw from the damaged branch, it was getting tight. The wound healed a bit. The stem and the plant look great and still got praying leaves 😻 I cleared the lower underscrog a bit more in hopes she will concentrate on the ones that get light. She looks healthy. I should water them tomorrow. Day 56 Watered ~1750ml but for some reason the leaves dropped sad 🙀

Week 9 (November 1 - 7) Day 57 All good, she keeps stretching. Light 90W ~ 700ppfd ~30DLI, 45cm from the highest top. Day 58 More stretch and flower. Cut a couple big ass fan leaves. She looks happy. I made the light 100w to see if they can take it. Watched some interviews where people claim that PPFD more than 800-1000 umol/m2s require CO2. Day 59 So far no signs of light stress. PPFD meter app shows around 1000-1100 at the tops closest to light. That's max what I can/should give plants during 12h cycle according to research. PPFD drops down to around 600 10cm lower at the scrog level because of the inverse square law. Which is OK according to DLI chart. 👽 Should water them tomorrow or the day after. Day 60 Watered 1750ml, light 90W Day 61 I found another hidden bud and had to cut two more fan leaves around it, she hit me with such a strong lime smell. Also citrus but different from Orion. Trichomes start to form around buds. She looks healthy and happy and keeps stretching. Day 62 This girl just grows and looks gorgeous.😻 Day 63 She smells so delicately compared to her roommate on steroids. I like to see her happy. I guess she doesn't mind me removing a couple of leaves daily. So far so good 🙌 Water tomorrow.

Week 10 (November 8-14) Day 64 Another watering ~1800ml, some leaf tucking, minimal leaf removal. It looks like the flower stretch is coming to an end. She smells so nice of citrus. Day 65 Tucked some leaves and that's it. Not gonna abuse her today. She looks pretty and happy. Day 66 Everything looks great, I don't have to do much, just removed a few leaves. She keeps growing new ones, the stretch seems to stop at about 28cm. Day 67 She looks and smells great. I haven't cut anything today :) Day 68 Removed a few more leaves again. Day 69 Her lowest fan leaves were really weak and droopy before watering. After 1800ml they were hard again. I gave her 75% of prescribed nutrient dosage. It looks like she not gonna grow any taller and will now concentrate on her flowers. Day 70 She looks healthy but I noticed these dark tips on the buds that probably doesn't mean anything good...

Week 11 (Flowering Week 3) November 15-21 Day 71 She's keeps doing well. Getting more sticky and frostier everyday. Love her citrus smell. Day 72 There goes my first deficiency. Day 73 Basically spend the day researching. More experienced people pointed to me that I should have had bigger runoff. Now it seems as a lockup because of a buildup of fertilizers. I think it's a potassium excess causing magnesium and maybe calcium deficiencies. Day 74 Got some ph/ec pens. I watered 3000ml with calmag 1.5ml/L, biogrow 2ml/L, biobloom 2ml/L, topmax 2ml/L, made pH 6.3, water temp 21C. That showed as EC 1.3 after I mixed all in. I watered slowly in 500ml stages. I got 150ml runoff which was EC 2.7!!! Well here goes another lesson... Day 75 I don't see deficiency developing or spreading much, just the already affected leaves. I removed the worst one to see if it helps on worsens the situation. The rest of the plant looks good to me. Those dark edges on the flowers still bother me though. Day 76

Hi my friend, I belive that your girl is asking you to add more calcium to her diet. I would suggest to increase calmag to 1-1.5ml per ltr and water her today until runoff. Don't get scared as few more leaves may appear in next few days before she get perfect balance again. Good lock ✨🍀✨

Week 12 (November 22-28) Flowering week 4 Day 78 Deficiency slowed but not fixed yet, waiting for the soil to dry so I could water again and wash some more nutrients out. Day 79 Not yet dry enough. Day 80 Gave my girls plain water 3000ml each ph 6.3, her runoff was only 110ml but EC is even higher than 6 days ago during last watering. PPM 1560 EC 3.1!!! HELP 🙀 Day 81 She turns more purple. Maybe it has anything to do with temperatures dropping to 17C during lights out. What make me thinks that way is that Orion has it too and they are completely different cultivars. Day 82 Removed the sickest leaf. Noticed some more dots on the leafs. Day 83 Day 84 It's so hard to tell what is going on, which toxicity and deficiencies I have now. I think I should have kept biobizz feeding proportions closer to their chart. I think at some point I was deciding myself if they get less biogrow and more biobloom for example which might have led to an imbalance in minerals. So it's something mobile since it mostly affects bottom leaves. There's irregular chlorosis which is not interveinal like during Magnesium def and not uniform like during Nitrogen def. There are some brown spots looking like necrosis, there are red stems (which might be just a tan), there are some dark purplish spotty areas, plants in general look a bit dark green. I hope that top flowers becoming purple is just an accumulation of anthocyanins due to cool night temps sometimes under 20C.

Week 13 (November 29 - December 5) Day 85 F35 - At least the tops look alright, I'm gonna water them tomorrow. Got myself some FlashClean from TerraAquatica, gonna test on Orion first since she has higher EC. Day 86 Water ~3500ml pH 6.3 calmag 1.2ml/L, runoff 400ml pH 6.6, EC IN 0.9 - EC OUT 4.1 😤 Day 87 😴💤 Day 88 She turned dark mode on. I mean if it's not because she's dying it looks amazing 😻 Day 89 So her roommate Orion F1 decided to grow some nanners on buds because I stressed her out and got abruptly chopped. Scrog removed, now SSH has a whole space for herself and can finally breathe. I spent the whole evening harvesting her friend and re-arranging the space because I have nowhere else to dry. I think I can pull this off, I manage to keep the temps 18-24 and rH 50-65%. A bit high for flowering, but it's my best option. I should probably "help" her spread her branches a bit so the light could get inside of the bush. She keeps turning more dark Purple 💜 Day 90 Spread her up a bit, she is still so green inside 😺 Day 91 I should water her tomorrow. And I still can't decide if I should use FlashClean or just add CalMag like last time. It looks like a calcium deficiency but the runoff EC was 4.1...

Plants watered for two months w/o proper runoff with biobizz grow/bloom 50% dose. It seems this caused salt buildup which led to deficiencies. Got myself a PPM/EC meter. Nov18 3L EC-IN 1.3 EC-OUT 2.7, Nov24 3L EC-IN 0.5 EC-OUT 3.1, Nov30 EC-IN 0.9 EC-OUT 4.1. Why does it go up?

One easier option for flushing is using plan water then once its all done a weak feed, adding in a product called a wetting agent can also help the water reduce its surface tension and flow though the pot. If and when I flush I always do it slowly like a heavy rain this allows the water time to trickle though the medium and soak in vs dumping a big amount on top and then it compacts the medium or finds a easy way out and it all goes that way like a river vs though the rest of the pot. I use something called a sprayer and you just pump it up and water. I have a feeling some of the medium might be compacted and the first flush did not soak though some of it and that's why the EC spiked back up as it has time to soak after the first few flushes. Plants are looking good though and this might be part of end of life cycle, the purpleing on the top leaves are indicting of that. I think you should be ok with just water or weak feeds for the rest of its life. Congrats on the grow! Good Luck!

Week 14 (December 6 - December 12) Day 92 F42 - So I tried giving her just Calmag with pH6.3 water 4000ml - but the runoff EC went to the skies runoff1 4.9, runoff2 6.6, runoff3 5.6. That's the new personal record right there. Soil runoff pH is ok 6.6-6.8. I was able to match my EC to my pH lol 😹 So I panicked and decided not to wait another week to dry and washed everything with another 1100 ml pH6.3 + 2.8ml of FlashClean. Got 1000ml runoff with EC 3.5 and pH 7. Let's see how she responds. 5L for 8L pot. So wet 😭 Day 96 She spent a week with slightly higher humidity, because of the drying Orion. Now it's back to being dry. Can't really figure out if I should add anything to my next feed and leach some more. Day 98 End of this week. She looks good.

Sorry this week is f*cked up and almost completely missing. Not much going on, I just wait for her to dry so I could finally feed her again after a month of torture. I flushed 4 or 5 times until I finally got to 2.1 EC in runoff last week. It feels like my soil is now super clumped, I hope it wont waterlog her roots. It's really hard to tell wtf is going on with leaves because of this purple color mixing with yellow signs of deficiencies. I used flashclean last two times. Now I'm gonna water with calmag and nutrients, keeping the recipe proportions but controlling the incoming EC (with distilled water or more minerals) to get to something like EC2.0 Wish me luck 😽 and Have a lovely Christmas everybody!

W16 D106 F56 (December 20) Day 105 4000ml - So I mixed 3L tap with 1L distilled to lower my base EC to 0.6, added calmag and biobizz stuff as prescribed, that the intake EC was 1.8 pH 6.3. There was 1400ml runoff which dropped from 2.7 to 1.9 EC in three parts. So it seems I was finally able to bring it under control but it also looks like she's almost done, and it might be time to flashclean again pretty soon. I'll see how much more she can take 1 or 2 weeks Day 106 Brushed up topsoil so it's not so stiff after watering Day 108 Removed a few dying leaves Day 110 No amber so far. I want to start a new grow already. Day 111 😴💤 Day 112 Another 4000ml in without nutes. Runoff EC 2.8... not again, I thought I figured this out...

WEEK 17 F63 Dec27 Day 112 Watering 4000ml no nutes pH 6.3 EC 0.6, 21C - runoff 950ml pH 7, EC 3.3-2.8!!! 19C. I thought giving plain water this time was going to drop EC even more but it's much higher. I don't get this. A week ago runoff was 1400ml EC 1.9 Day 113 Fluffed up the top soil Day 114 I was so hoping to be done before NY but it seems she's a survivor. Maybe I should try shortening the day light hours... Day 115 She's beautiful, I love the way she's shaped and how fat and dense some of her buds are ;) I started to notice some amber in heads, 95% of pistils are brown, I think this might be her last week, depending on her progress. Might still flashclean her in a day or two and then harvest in another couple of days. She smells strong of citrus and gas. Day 118 Happy New Year! Giving her another 4000ml with 2.5ml/1L FlashClean - pH6.2 - 20C - 217ppm/0.4EC Day 119 💤😴

Week 18 (03.01-10.01) Day 120 So it's her eleventh flowering week, according to RQS data sheet should be the last. I decided not to cut her just yet, since she looks alright and might still ripen more. I will give her a few more days. Day 121 It looks to me as if she gets milkier everyday and buds seem to get a little bigger, denser and heavier. Day 122 Tonight I chop her down. It's day 122 (18th week) and flowering day 72 (11th week), as far as I could tell trichomes are mostly milky, with a few still transparent and some just turned amber. She could've grown for a few days more probably, but I'm too impatient, I also thought this is gonna be a 12 week diary not 20...

Happy Harvest Day!

She made it to the end, which is already amazing :) I almost killed her when she was just a two days old seedling dropping some equipment on her. Then she had to deal with me learning about root development, light intensity/height, proper watering until runoff, EC/PPM, VPD etc. At some point there were nutrient deficiencies and lockups, a month of flushing and in general all my timing was off. She survived my LST and ScrOG techniques and I think yielded alright for such a tight space (she probably had less than half of my 0.16m2 tent). She had a strong gassy and lemon smell, which I'm looking forward to tasting after curing. Beautiful plant, lots of purple on my scissors.

Day 122 (18th week) and flowering day 72 (11th week), trichomes were mostly milky, with a few still transparent and some just turned amber. She could've grown for a few days more probably, but I'm too impatient, I also thought this is gonna be a 12 week diary not 20. Unfortunately I didn't take anymore pictures because I was exhausted harvesting her. Somehow she yielded more wet than her auto roommate. There are 14 stems hanging total wet 208g. My first drying experience resulted in ~22% dry weight, but it looks like she's gonna have more trim. So my estimate would be 30-35g dry buds. Drying and curing ahead, wish me luck 🙏 I will update this as soon as I put her in the jars and try. Thank you everybody for amazing support, knowledge and experience 💚

@Lemonhazelover, awww, thank you mate 😸 I think she's just a happy plant and probably would be even happier without me constantly touching her, she had to endure quiet a lot😹 btw lemon haze is a great strain🙏🙌

@einamio,what a great news :) very happy to hear that. Yes lights it's very important now. If you can regulate dim on 10% power. She will streight up in no time. Keep her moist, warm and please do not start any nutrients yet. Will follow your grow to see your progress. Peace ✌️

Hi there. I am counting days right here 😂☺️ glad that your baby girl growing nicely🌿🍀😎✌️✨ keep on growing
Crashoverite
Crashoveritecommenteda year ago
@einamio,hi man, yes week or more as you don't want to stress this girl when switching to flower. It's very bad moment for any defoliation in my opinion. You could defoliate from few fan leaves orion and expose more flowers to light and tuck some larger leaves for now before removing later ✨🍀✌️💚

@Crashoverite, thanks man! It's soooo boring when they sleep for 12h and I'm not allowed to pop in every 30min to check 😹 SSH is doing fine, she just keeps growing real slow, so far I don't see any acceleration in growth. Did you say I should wait a week after the light flip before defoliating? 👽
