So they all popped and 1 taproot (3 kings) was not as far out as the rest but went ahead and placed them in my soil mix. Unfortunately the one that was already going slow got dropped into the soil and when I was trying to make sure it was root down I lost it in the mixture 🤦‍♂️🏻

Week 1 is off to the races. Coming in first place is northern lights with the largest growth out of the bunch. Skywalker and 3 kings are similar just slightly behind, but all of them about 2 inches out of the soil. I’ve been misting for the most part with a few light watering in a circle outside the seedlings. So far looking good!

Grow Questions

If my seedling looks too heavy…like it’s about to fall over, should I brace it with a tooth pick or just let it be? Did I over water it? I ended up just pushing some of the top soil up against the stem to brace it for now. Hopefully this will strengthen soon

So far everything is looking good and healthy. The seedlings just finished their 2nd week in the soil and should start veg stage soon. Started to water a little bit more on top but not over doing it.

This week I was trying to figure out what was going on with the northern lights. Leaves started to droop and wasn’t sure if over watered or under watered. Leaning towards under but letting it fully dry out. Gonna hit harder with water as I’ve really only been keeping the top wet. I had the self wicking pots going but not sure if root structure is big enough for it to reach yet so removed the water from the basins and will top water a little extra this week.

Plants took a big hit when I was out of town. I had my mom water them but not enough. My fault for poor explanation, I ended up cutting off some dead leaves and hitting them with a good water. Nutrients next watering

The ladies are ready for flower but trying to figure out why the bottom leaves are yellowing/browning/drying out. Possible nutrient deficiency but which one?

I’m need to flip to flower soon but hoping to figure out this issue or deficiency. Any ideas on how to cure the leaves yellowing and browning? Not sure is this is Septoria or a calcium deficiency? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

So, i see your grow is 8 weeks into veg? And i see you've mixed a blend of soil's like happy frog and ocean forest and 1 other. Those are very good soils and will carry your plants for 45 to 60 days, but after that you're going to need to fertilize them man. At first i thought it was a salt build up locking things out. Your pH in your soil could be off. I say that because lack of fertilizer will NOT burn the tips of your leaves, which i can see they are all over your plant. You have what looks to be multiple issues which usually is a pH in the soil issue, or a Lock out situation due to salt build up in the soil. Since you haven't been feeding them outside of the soil supplied nutrients, it won't be excess salts causing lock outs. It's more likely your pH is not in range in your soil. Lower leaves turning yellow and browning usually means the plant is robbing it's lower leaves of the mobile nutrients to use at the growth tips. Your brown tips could be be nutrient burn damage, but not from over use of fertilizer, but rather a VPD problem. Meaning VPD is too high. If you have high temps and low humidity your plants are going to take up way more water and as a result, more nutrients than it needs which can damage your plants and actually result in nutrient burn. Try to feed in a balanced nutrient mixture and pH it to 6.2 and see if your plant responds. Also, if your temps are high try to bring them down to 80F and get your humidity up to 60 to 70% until your plants are in flower. Then drop your temps to 75F if you can and reduce your humidity to 50%

First attempt at lollipop the girls. I think it went well… time will tell. Also hit them with water and some nutrients from fox farm (small dosages). Planning to swap to flower soon after recovery!

This week has been slightly stressful as the plants are starting to show signs of what I thought was nutrient burn. After testing the runoff water it ranged from 500 (skywalker and 3 kings) in 2 plants to 900 in the northern lights. Now I’m wondering if they need more nutrients so I’m going to keep an eye on them and probably up the nutrients for the ones at 500 and then do half feeding for the one at 900 once the water dries. Lots of burnt tips, and some leaves starting to brown at edges and some have tiny brown dots. Also noticing more purple stems but the water is phd to 6.3 so maybe it’s genetic?

The new growth is looking better. Still some burnt tips which i thought was nutrient burn but after testing some runoff and seeing 2 plants at 500 ppm and 1 plant at 900, i think it may be a nutrient lockout issue. I started to give them a heavier watering at ph 6.1 and then light nutrient bottom feeding through the auto wicking pot bases. I plan on monitoring and upping the dose mid week
