GOALS:
- Plain water only flush start of week ✅

- Harvest BD5 after flush
- Harvest rest by end of week
Pretty straight forward week...BD4 and KT5 look like they need longer. BD5 was ready at day 53
_______________

• 0.3 EC (Tap water) / 6.5 pH (10-12L BD5/10P7)
• 0.5 EC (FF) / 6.5 pH (6L rest)
BD5 - 0.5 EC runoff
10P7 - 0.6 EC runoff

Jan 25 (4L)
• 0.3 EC / 6.5 pH

Lots to catch up on. Really busy week installing and trimming out a custom bookcase I built for a client so my notes are basic af.
The last 3 weeks or so I've been experimenting with Controlled Drought Stress. I've been letting the pots dry out completely between waterings (which almost everybody says you can't do with coco), but not to the point of drooping. I've simultaneously dropped the humidity to 40-45% max.
I don't have the data but there were multiple sources confirming the cannabis plant will produce trichomes as a defense mechanism against dry conditions. I do see a difference from the last time I ran all 3 of these strains. The proof will be in the smoke. If I see a larger, drippier resin ring on my joints I'll know for sure.
Flowers are all completely covered in frost, with King's Tart looking like the winner for resin production. This is the second week of flushing. The first week using Flawless Finish to chelate nutrients from the substrate, and this week with pH 6.5 water only. I purposely pH out of range because I don't want the plant to feed from the substrate. The plant will use up the stored nutrients, especially excess phosphorus, instead. In theory this produces cleaner smoke. The ashes will tell the story here.
Targeting a day 63 harvest provided the runoff EC is 0.3 or less after the next flush

Didn't water because I was watching the 49ers and Lions. Will give them a final flush tonight. Some of the biggest, if not the biggest buds I've grown to date. Here's some things that I think helped:
- EC stacking (thanks Brian)
- Near perfect VPD
- Very little defoliation
- Waiting until containers dried out to water
- No PK deficiencies (no purple streaks)
I think the biggest reason the buds were large is that I left the fan leaves on until late bloom. While a lot of growers seem to believe removing leaves makes buds bigger, I don't see the correlation. Leaves are like solar panels for your plants, absorbing light energy and converting it (photosynthesis). Removing them makes no sense. Buds don't grow bigger because light hits them, It's the leaves that need the light. They use up the nitrogen from the bloom mixes and are a source of nutrition during flushing. They also provide an exit for moisture inside the buds during drying via the petioles into the leaves.

No water. Lights out at 7 AM, begin 24 hr dark before harvesting.
**CHOPPED FEB 1 (Day 65)**
Hang drying at 61F / 59%
To make the harvest report easier, I'm not posting the harvest week until the smoke report is done. Likely 3-4 weeks until then. Thanks for sticking around!
@Louder, bro I’ve been so busy lately it’s stupid around here. I’ve totally lost most contact with this community and need to jump back it. I gotta get my room leaned and some beans popped
You planted awesome genetics for real!!
GHSC and Ethos are the bests seedbanks
If you want to support, take a look to our new diaries and if you like them remember to like, comment and follow us 👍 It will be appreciated! ❤️

@gottagrowsometime, Thank you man. I had a great pheno out of 3 KTs last round...sadly didn't take any cuts. I don't think I got it this time because the keeper grew taller than these. Been running Ethos mostly for the last few grows and they've been impressive. Highly recommend
See the game last night, kicked some Boston butt all over the ice😀. Good goal tending and some hungry players, go # 13, GO JETS GO!!!! Going all the way this year!!!! UNSTOPPABLE!!
Plants look great 👌, should have some good herb in a few weeks. Finally got two coats of paint in the basement, suspended ceiling goes up next, then flooring and I'll be able to set-up my tent. Had to make a trip to the pot store, first time in a long time that I had to buy some herb, it's not the same, not even close 😑... GOTTA GROW!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
@Louder, Variety is the spice of life they say, so we'll mix it up a bit and see what happens, Lambs breath and Orange cake for sure, we'll see about the others when the time comes. Can't Wait!!
@Louder, Wheeler must be wondering WTF happened to this team😵, someone lit their JETS!! Let's hope they can keep it up..
Ordered a bunch of auto's from the Crop King, started my first grow with the King so I thought I'd try agin, plus they had a two for one sale so I loaded up. I have some Lamb's Breath, close to being my favourite and some new strains, Acapulco Gold, Hippie Crippler, Orange cake and I got a freebie package of 5 seeds, Kryptonite auto from Rocket seeds. There all sativa dominant strains except the Orange cake which is an Indica dominant strain that's supposed to grow big, sugar coated buds with a very citrus flavour and smell, so we'll see. I should be posting soon, just have to figure out which ones I grow first, TOUGH CHOICE😏, Lamb's Breath for sure!!
Smok'em if you got'em!!
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, should be a sight to see come January. Predicting a ton of purple. I've got pics of all of them in past diaries if you literally can't wait 😆
@RoidBlaze, I know it looks alarming, and that could be part of it, but the other 5/6 plants are thriving. It's just the one King's Tart and they all get the same treatment.
She's the closest to the fresh air intake (which is cold) and the oscillating fan so maybe it's that.
I'm going to flush anyway but I've had runoffs that error out the meter before with no hermies.
