2nd Grow!! Fat Banana Auto

Day 7 - 21/09/23 🍌🍌Fat Banana is growing really well! the she's the tallest of the bunch! leaves are looking nice and lush too! The second set of leaves are coming in, also looking healthy! I'm really excited for this one, i've been wanting to grow this since last year 😂 65W LED hanging at 14" running at 80%, 18/6 light schedule. Just using water to keep substrate around seedling hydrated. roughly using around 200ml every 24hrs.

Day 14 - 28/9/23 Fat Banana is moving fast and looking good!! we're well into true vegetation!! Looking at her progress, I might be able to start some LST in the next week!! Fat banana, I have high hopes for you! 🍌🍌

Day 20 - 04/10/23 Fat banana is growing well! she got tall enough so I started some LST, and she's been responding well to it!! I sure as hell hope I'm doing all this LST stuff correctly 😂 07/10/23 Fat Banana is responding really well to the LST!! shoots up all over!!

Day 27 - 11/10/23 Fat Banana is doing really well, LST is working a treat!! Pistils have started to show already, we're heading into pre-flower!! No signs of any problems or deficiencies so far, she's very strong and resilient looking!! definitely gonna have to do a few more of these girls! 🍌🍌 Day 29 - 13/10/23 so i did some defoliating...... 😶 Day 32 - 16/10/23 Defoliating was successful!! she adapted well, in vigour!! Next immediate problem, yellow edged leaves. toxicity? deficiency? light burn? 🤷‍♂️🏽

Day 35 - 19/10/23 Fat Banana was still yellowing so I decided it would be best to flush her and get rid of all the affected leaves. is this gonna work? who knows 🤷‍♂️🏽 Runoff measured at pH 6.2 and PPM at 566 post flush.

Day 41 - 25/10/23 she's in flower and it's looking like the flush and trim did her some good! Realising I had Easy Boost in the coco is the reason why she got burnt. no more nutes for now, just CalMag and water. It's comeback szn.

Day 49 - 2/11/23 Fat Banana is blooming nicely!! she's a nice pheno, looks like we got some purple buds!! Still watering with CalMag only, and she looks like she's fine with it! eagle eyed for deficiencies. might do a full nute feed midweek. Going along nicely!!! ------- Day 52 - 5/11/23 Gave her a full feed today, back to normal nute values. Buds are starting to swell, and the smell is something else!! Deep purple colours coming through, orange showing up, greens and yellows also!!

Day 55 - 08/11/23 All good news so far!! She's maturing really fast for week 8!! Purple buds are getting bigger and darker!! And the smell is getting quite strong, a fruity, earthy scent. I've upped the nutes to normal value, 1100PPM and pH 6.1 and I'll be topping up with Calmag and water through the week, let's see how she takes it!! Not long now til I have to get the microscope out and check those crystals!!

Day 63 - 16/11/23 she's fattening up!! beautiful colour on the buds and on the leaves!! slight changes to her feed this week, upped to 1300PPM. some milky trichomes present, most are still clear. pistils are half way orange!! Lower half still needs to mature a little bit more One last week of feeding, and then we start the flush!!!

Day 70 - 23/11/23 Fat Banana progressing nicely! Trichomes are 30% clear, 60% cloudy with some amber heads scattered here and there. I think im gonna flush her today. it's a waiting game now ⏳⌛️

Day 76 - 29/11/23 Fat Banana looking very well after last week's flush!! All leaves have now turned a shade of purple, we're coming to the end!!! Bud sizes have not changed, but trichomes definitely have! more cloudy, more amber, less clears!! I flushed her with an extra 2L of water on 27/11/23, she still hasn't dried up. she knows her time's coming!! I bucked off a small piece to try, and oh my... she's flavourful, syrup like liquorice smell when broken up!! trichomes are at a nice place now, still waiting to get rid of a few clear heads!! I think once the medium is bone dry, im gonna cut her down! we're almost there!! 01/12/23 I gave her a quick trim today just to get rid of the bigger fan , and make her look a little cleaner! Im really contradicting myself here... i flushed again with around 400ml today. I want to cut her down, but i also want to let her go for a bit longer. maybe closer to Day 90? i don't know

What an absolute experience growing this plant!! She didn't get to be the biggest as I gave her unnecessary stress in her early week. I forgot that I treated the medium before planting, and I watered with normal values. This causes nutrient lockout which took 2 weeks to correct, which then stunted her growth. Once that was fixed, she flourished really well!! she showed beautiful colour on the buds. nice and dense, and the smell of ripe fruits overpowered the whole tent!! She took big feeds, and tolerated high nutrients in flowering phase! Buds are thick and dense on this plant! I dont think there's any popcorn left on her! she smells of ripe bananas, sweet fruits and liquorice! I tried a tester nug last week, and that was full of potential!! I can't wait to cure and smoke this one!!! No mould, no pests, no mildew. what a plant!!!
