So this Blue Cheese Auto comes in to replace a Special Kush #1 in my current growcycle, since only 3/5 of those worked.
Was germinated in a folded wet papertowel. Seed popped after 25hours and was transfered to a smalL pot.
She is starting out with strong growth. Provided her with 20-4 Light this first week, to help her catch up a bit to her 3 Special Kush siblings who germinated a few days prior.
Only a few mL of Water added to the LightMix every other day. The soil was prepared a few days before germination with some Dynomyco.
Growth really starts to pick up. This one has no problem keeping up with the 3 Special Kush which all are 3-4 days older.
Moved the plant into 8L fabric pot at the start of this week. Was a little early, but since the 3 others Plants were ready I moved them all in one go.
Soil is mostly LightMix with a little Ash, Coffeegrounds and Dynomyco.
Topped on Day 16. Recovered very fast (much faster than the 4 days older photoperiod special kush plants).
Could already be topped a second time by day 21, but I dont want to stress this one too mich since I already see preflowers, so she will be in bloom soon.
Got really shiny leaves compared to any other plant I have had.
Really good recovery from topping last week. The 2 new tops grew faster than an of the Special Kush's.
Recovery went so fast that I even topped her a second time on Day 23. I know one should not top Automatics too much, but I could not resist giving it a try.😇
Good recovery from topping. The Twinbuds will grow apart over the coming stretch. Topped off the container with lightly wetted LightMix.
Curious to see how this will look in two weeks.
Good development so far. Topping twice did seem to cost some size and the plant really does not have many leaves, but the 6 main cola are growing well. Dont think there will be too much vertical growth from now on, so this one will probably stay under 30cm.
Bending the twin tops apart each day a little, but they wanna stay twins for now with not too much streching that would help. It'll be fine Im sure 😉 since my plants have *always* done well (all 3 I harvested so far) 😜
Also started to smell weakly. Hard to describe, just mellow, sweet and creamy?
Continuing to grow well. Not too much stretching anymore. Slowly reducing daytime by an hour every other day in anticipation of 12/12 switch in the tent. Also switched to Bloom nutrients.
The undersides of the leaves and tips of the sugar leaves are turning purple, I hope the whole plant will get colorful in late flowering, the genetic at least has the potential. With night temps going as low as 17° C I got good chances I reckon.
Also put in the net to keep the 3 Photos low and spread out, will see how I keep this one close to the light while the photos stretch, but it'll work out.
Since the rest of the plants are Photos I had to switch to 12/12 at some point, hope the Auto doesnt mind too much. Also put in the Net, but since only the Buds are growing at this point it doesnt do much for the Blue Cheese.
Leaves are very purple underneath, lower leaves look like rusting with weird beige spots, but that doesnt worry me yet. In my little experience Autos are really easily upset for some reason...
Becoming more purple and autumn themed by the day. The few buds grow well, waiting for them to thicken.
Lower leaves become yellow and wilt, but seems to be the plants decision, for I guess there are ample nutrients available. Just getting old.
Checked the trichomes Mid-Week, over 50% are milky already, some turning amber. Since that surprised me and I had just given lots of nutrients few days earlier I decided that this is the first time I want to flush a plant and so I did with about 2L of filtered water, seeing at least 1L runoff. Now I wait a few days for the soil to dry and guess I can harvest in about a week.
Almost all leaves have died and fell of, there is mostly just flower left.
Plant was moved out of the tent and under a small 15W LED and upped from 12/12 to 16/8 to compensate for low light intensity.
This last week she will finish up in my room, getting no water. After that two days of darkness and harvest😁
This grow I experimented with topping a automatic twice. Even though it kinda worked and kept the plant flat I wont be doing that again as the plant stayed really small. Could have yielded better if kept untopped or only topped once.
