Happy plants all around. #1 has slight ribboning on the stems but nothing major. #2 is a beast. Explosive growth, vigorous side branching. I had to super crop a branch because it was touching the light which is at 6'1". Im sure they will both be keepers and hard to pick a winner.
Fuuuuck....#2 is just a beast. I had to super crop a branch last week, this week i did the "swazzing"(i think thats right) technique on the others and pulled them away from the light as much as i could.
#1 is incredible as well. Nice strong, solid structure and both plants have really nice trichome coverage.
#1 smells like it will lean more towards Grape Gas side.
#2 smells like it will lean more towards Marshmallow OG.
Gonna be hard to choose a keeper.
Aww man these plants smell so damn good! #1 smells like a grape waffle...so yummy
#2 smells like what you would think the name "marshmellow og" smells like. If that makes "scents". Again...so yummy.
WAFFLES! GRAPEY WAFFLES! Smells so damn good. 😍 looks good too. #1 looks like itll take a little time to trim. #2 looks like it ll be easy to trim. They small so good. Glad i took cuts. Ill take the one i think is a keeper and do a reversal run for feminized pollen.
These plants are obviously way too close to the light and is causing problems. But, theyre holding strong. Still holding the grapey danky waffle smells! #1 is a beauty with very fuzzy trichomes, stiiiicky, with grapey waffle smells.
#2 is a beauty as well but but has more of a cookies structure and shorter rounder trichomes that reek of dank waffles. These seem like they will be smaller buds, but, thats cool 😎
Cant wait.
#1 doesnt have very strong branches but it does have amazing resin production. Perhaps its too damn close to the light, which would explain all the burnt leaves.
#2!....#2....wooof, shes a beastly girl. Very strong branches, greasy dank waffles and golf ball buds.
These two might have to go past 70 days. The trichomes are not yet ripe for the picking
Not bad. Small popcorn buds all around. Both have different flavor profiles. #1 towards the end had a little leak of some xylem sap, a process called guttation. That little droplet that resembles some sticky icky that may look dab-able , but it is not. Still pretty cool to see.
Nice plants all around.
#1 has some super frosty sugar leaves, nice resin rails. Flavor is like creamy funky grape cereal milk. Marshmellow OG leaning cultivar.
#2 was a monster of a plant. But yeilded the least. Flavor is super dank grape funk. Very pungent on the nose. Grape Gas leaning cultivar.
#1- 116g
#2- 95g
@XII_XII_MrGreen, thank you, truly. I would have started these diaries from seed but with the others, thats too much at once.
I also have Ice Pie x raspberry boogie(Tiki/mosca collab) and old growth og from humboldt at around 5 weeks. But my next, next project is to male hunt Koffee F8 by Green Source Gardens and Clover Shake by Bulletproof Genetics follwed swiftly by square one genetics and robin hood seed small batch pheno hunt/breeding project. I have a lot of breeding ideas and its time to make them happen. Someday be able to present a strain i grew/created to the cannabis cup. Dream big!!!
These plants look 🔥! Congratulations on your success, thus far.
I did have a question about your experience with Compund Genetics seeds, though... I recently bought a 5-pack of Gastro Pop and the two seeds I attempted to germinate both failed to thrive. Maybe I'm just unlucky and got a few duds - needless to say that I expected a bit more out of seeds that cost ~ $30.00 each!
Anyway, your grow looks dope. Any insight you can share would be appreciated. Happy Growing!
@FarmerJon, thank you for the kind words. As far as germination goes, i still have problems sometimes. By no means an expert. I used to put them directly in soil but i had mixed results. Now its just paper towel method, however i do not seal them in a plastic bag. I use a heat mat depending on outdoor enviornment. Cold or Hot. Ive cooked a few seeds so be careful. It does suck a lot to lose seeds that you paid so much for. Personally i have had worse germination rates with greenhouse seed company then any other. But most of the time its me that ends up killing the seedling after germination. Theyre so damn sensitive. Good luck on your journey.
