Even though she didn't get as much light as the rest of the plants in tent, she bushed out nicely. I like this height. She grew so symmetrical with no LST. I did top her a few weeks ago though, so keep that in mind when growing this strain in VEG.
First week of flower, going well in the SCROG. Nothing fancy, just a 4x4 AC Infinity trellis. Will add a custom 2nd trellis if needed. She stunted in veg due to a bit of overcrowding causing less than ideal environment in her spot, but I fixed that by raising her, creating more space for her, and light defoliating. Other strains in this grow- Skywalker OG, Bruce Banner, Apple Betty, and Runtz. Check out my other diaries for those.
Week 2 of Flower (Day 56 since sprouted)
Just maintaining temps and adjusting light distance.
Fed with 1/2 gallon of feed water PH 6.5
-TPS CalMag 1 mil
-General Hydroponics Trio
-TPS Signal 5 mil per 1 gallon
Light defoliating
Grew about 3" in a week. The SCROG didn't take as well as a more experienced grower's would, but learned a lot about the process and how much LST helps. I feel it's important to understand how growth occurs in veg, as well as how important it is to plan for the stretch.
Just water and dolomite lime this week. Saw early signs of cal/mag deficiency, or low soil ph. This should boost it right up. Top dressed with 5 TBS of dolomite and watered heavily.
General Hydroponics
FloraMicro - 5 ml/gal
FloraGrow - 3 ml/gal
FloraBloom - 12 ml/gal
TPS CalMag - 1 ml/gal
TPS Signal - 10 ml/gal
1/2 gal of feed per 5 gal pot, ph 6.3
Sorry about the pics- i have a few other strains in the same tent and it's tricky to get isolated shots of each plant.
ILGM Black Widow Photo - This plant exploded. She was the smallest strain in my tent from day 1, and while not the tallest plant I have, it's the beefiest.

The Black Widow was the smallest plant in my tent of 4 other strains, but turned out to be a silent killer after all. She is likely the healthiest plant in my grow. This plant seems to be more resilient to my inexperience and underfeeding that the other plants in my tent. With that said she has the biggest buds so far, and healthiest leaves. Considering she started out the smallest, and grew the slowest, I'm surprised at how great she looks and smells. I'm definitely growing this again under better conditions and heavier feedings. All in all very fun to grow for amateurs. She smells amazing too. Used a tea to help giver her a boost, I can't wait to see what it does. I think the end=product is going to be a good quality. I'm curious how she would grow without topping, maybe next time.
Brewed a tea, aerated for 24 hours before feeding.
per gal of water/ 6.5 ph / .5 gal per plant
Molasses - 1 tbs
fish shit - 5 mil
recharge - 1.5 tbs (meant to use tsp)
mycorrhizae - 1.5 tbs (meant to use tsp)
liquid seaweed - 10 mil
worm castings - 8 tbs
gai green bloom - 6 tbs / 100 ml
Week 8 of Flower
ILGM Black Widow is the best looking and healthiest plant in my grow so far.
Flushed with only PH 6.5 balanced water and TPS Signal 4 ml/gal since I see mostly
cloudy trichomes. Hoping to chop in a week or 2. Thanks for looking! Feedback welcome.
Can't wait to finish! WK 9 of flower. Fed with 3/4 gallon of feed water so I can get some runoff. 1st photo grow, learning a lot.
Smells unbelievable. This is one of the plants I'm most proud of, and would definitely grow again. I've
noticed that the buds are about 20% bigger than the other strains in my grow tent (check out my other
diaries for those). She started off the slowest and smallest compared to the others like Bruce Banner, Apple Betty, and Royal Runtz,
then she just shot up at pre-flower through the first couple weeks, catching up easily with explosive growth.
5 gallon plastic pot (definitely going back to fabric for next run because I like the airflow in those and prefer them for cannabis roots, but I'll use these plastic pots in the vegetable garden outdoors next season for sure, love these square pots)
Happy Frog soil top dressed with dolomite and extra worm castings.
General Hydroponics Flora Series
TPS Signal & CalMag
Week 10 of flower. Started flushing with ph balanced water, calmag, and some signal. Hoping to harvest in the next week or two. Looks like the buds are putting some weight on before the end.
I popped 1 seed of Black Widow fem-photo from ILGM in a rapid rooter. 142 days later here we are. The long flower time was definitely influenced by my environmental conditions, and a deficiency that I was able to fix. The fact that she withstood that and produced some nice looking buds with heavy aroma was impressive. I can't wait to grow again indoors and really push her to the max. Great genetics in my opinion as I did not experience any type of issues, herm, diseases, etc.
Felt great to harvest! I ended up with a little more amber than I would have liked, but it really goes to reinforce that I should be checking trichomes right up until the end, daily if possible. If I did, I would likely have flushed and chopped earlier. A few days makes a big difference, great to know. As of writing, dry tent is about 66 F / 61% RH with slight air circulation.
