She's doing well, it's a pretty resilient strain in veg. Meaning in my grow she doesn't have the nest spot in the tent, she's in the back corner, but still performing well. Used General Hydroponics Trio to feed, favoring bloom nutrients. Also used TPS Signal, Recharge, and TPS CalMag.
Week 2 of Flower (Day 56 since sprouted)
Just maintaining temps and adjusting light distance.
Fed with 1/2 gallon of feed water PH 6.5
-TPS CalMag 1 mil
-General Hydroponics Trio
-TPS Signal 5 mil per 1 gallon
Light defoliating
Grew about 2" in a week. The SCROG didn't take as well as a more experienced grower's would, but learned a lot about the process and how much LST helps. I feel it's important to understand how growth occurs in veg, as well as how important it is to plan for the stretch.
Just water and dolomite lime this week. Saw early signs of cal/mag deficiency, or low soil ph. This should boost it right up. Top dressed with 5 TBS of dolomite and watered heavily.
General Hydroponics
FloraMicro - 5 ml/gal
FloraGrow - 3 ml/gal
FloraBloom - 12 ml/gal
TPS CalMag - 1 ml/gal
TPS Signal - 10 ml/gal
1/2 gal of feed per 5 gal pot, ph 6.3
Sorry about the pics- i have a few other strains in the same tent and it's tricky to get isolated shots of each plant.
This Apple Betty smells amazing, and that's in a tent with 5 other strains. Aside from some underfeeding on my part, which I brewed a tea to help counter below, this has been easy and manageable for me as a new grower. This is part of my 1st fem-photo indoor grow, and was a great strain to learn on due to it's resilience. It was easy to grow and I may just get a great quality end-product in the process. Some of my other plants in this same environment and feed schedule are not performing anywhere near as well as the Herbies Apple Betty.
Brewed a tea, aerated for 24 hours before feeding.
per gal of water/ 6.5 ph / .5 gal per plant
Molasses - 1 tbs
fish shit - 5 mil
recharge - 1.5 tbs (meant to use tsp)
mycorrhizae - 1.5 tbs (meant to use tsp)
liquid seaweed - 10 mil
worm castings - 8 tbs
gai green bloom - 6 tbs / 100 ml
Apple Betty by Herbies in about week 8 of flower. I'm close, but need a week or 2. Buds could be denser at this stage, but as part of my 1st indoor photo grow, I learned a shit ton. Smells great!
WK 9 of flower. Fed with 3/4 gallon of feed water. 1st photo grow, learning a lot.
This thing smells awesome. I don't usually go for this terpene profile, but I'm glad I did.
Having grown in both plastic and fabric pots, I think I prefer the fabric joints.
Week 10 of flower. Started flushing with ph balanced water, calmag, and some signal. Hoping to harvest in the next week or two. Looks like the buds are putting some weight on before the end.
Felt great to harvest! I ended up with a little more amber than I would have liked, but it really goes to reinforce that I should be checking trichomes right up until the end, daily if possible. If I did, I would likely have flushed and chopped earlier. A few days makes a big difference, great to know. As of writing, dry tent is about 66 F / 61% RH with slight air circulation.
