Iβm back! Now that summer is behind me, itβs time to start a new grow. F*CK YEAH!!!
My main goal with this grow is to evaluate my new soil blend, and I will be growing two different RQS cultivars this round, Royal Gorilla Automatic and Epsilon F1. I have grown Royal Gorilla before and am curious how it will perform in the new soil. On the other hand, Itβll be the first time Iβm growing the Epsilon F1. Hell. itβs the first time Iβm growing an F1 cultivar, and Iβm excited to see what the fuss is all about.

Germination
--------------------------------
I started germination by dropping the seeds into separate glasses of water mixed with myco and fulvic acid. The myco product I use has kelp in it as well, and multiple studies show how kelp benefits germination and rooting.
I also use some of this myco water to soak the root riot plugs before planting. To increase the stability, I turned the plugs upside down, made small holes, and planted the seeds after soaking them overnight.
The plug now stands on a small propagation tray on a heating mat. The light is set at 24 Hours with a DLI of 10.
Now we wait.
Edit: I could see the first signs of germination after only 24 hours, and now, after 36 hours, we definitely have germination! Well, at least for the Epsilon F1, while the Royal Gorilla is still shy.
Be prepared for a unique flavorsplosion. A lot of their new F1's are packed with caryophyllene and myrcene, giving them a nice peppery flavor. I was pleasantly surprised with the sour blueberry pepper flavor of Medusa, and I hear others were surprised at the peppery kick of a couple others. I like these unique flavors that can't be depicted by a fruit.
