>>>>>Day 4 Update<<<<<
Kind of a rough start for these girls. I got a new PH pen and it is not accurate at all and and these girls paid the price. I killed one when I transplanted them in to its Jiffy pellet. I was very careful but not careful enough. I don't have another WWXXL seed to replace it so I replaced it with a Incredible Bulk Auto. Check out that dairy if you want.
Its all good I have been doing my best too recover these 5 girls fast. Some have recovered better then others.
End Update
Well I'm back at it again with even more Autos. This time I'm going to try my hand at growing 6 White Widow XXL Autos.
The 6 seeds soaked in distilled water for 17 hours after that that they went onto a paper towel on a plate for 20 hour. They are about to go into XL Jiffy pellets.
I got the 7 gallon pots mixed up 2 days ago.
I'm going to try this Fox Farm Strawberry Fields Fruiting & Flowering soil and see if I like it.
My Soil mixture is about: 60% Strawberry Fields, 10% compost, 10% Perlite, 20% reused coco, all mixed up.
Then I flushed every pot with 5 gallons of tap water PH to 5.9-6.1.
I will update with Pictures once they sprout in a few days.
Winter is finally here and cold weather is here. It was a hot summer and its awesome how my plants pulled threw.
Temps have come down to perfect levels this week. They are doing much better this week.
The one in the first picture fell over 2 days ago. So I had to make a crutch with a piece of wire.
The one in the 3dr picture looks a little over watered. I have cut back on watering. She should recover.
The 5th one is doing much better now. Still small but recovered.
This soil is hotter then happy frog so I'm just going to let them live off this soil for a bit. They seem to be taking there time already. Not a bad thing, just pointing it out.
I am mainly only top feeding. I think I used the dripper system once so far. Should get some good growth in the next week.
The 5 one is growing weird. It is the smallest. I'm not sure if I did something to it or if its just genetic. Ether way I am growing her all the way out.
I just introduced them to base nutrients yesterday in a very light solution. Earlier in the week I gave them Silica... They loved it all. They still have plenty of room too grow if they want. I'm going to LST them soon. I bet they will get much bigger in the next week. They are getting watered every 1-3 days up too 1 gallon if necessary depending if they need it.
I have been keeping the temperatures very cool inside by pulling in cold outside air. It was 70-74 on the leafs earlier when I checked when with a temperature gun. They seem to prefer it cooler like this. I'm sure the fresh air is nice on them. Cant wait to see what they look like in a week.
I did some LTS and they really grew both taller and wider. These girls are pretty massive. I'm thinking I might need to defoliate some big leafs, clean up some lower leafs and do some more LST.
Wow...they doubled in size over the past week. I had to hang up every grow light that I own. I could really use 1 more good light, but I have no cash right now. They will just have to work with what I have.
I defoliated most of the big leafs earlier in the week. They seem really happy in my grow environment. Tiny little buds have formed up on all of them and I think that all I got for this week .
Well I'm pretty sure they are done stretching. I had to adjust lights and LTS main stems but I made them fit. I have never grown this many big girls at one time so this is a new experience.
I really wish I had some better lights for them. I have 650 true watts over 4 plants (Is it enough?) and the 5th has 250 watt so shes good.
Other then that they seem to be really happy and don't seem to mind the lack of wattage. They are starting too smell awesome and all those bud sites........its crazy.
Lots and lots of flowers. 😍 They are smelling really awesome. The buds are getting extremely sticky and its only day 53 sohey have plenty of time too swell up. I know my light set up isn't optimal but these girls don't seem to mind much. My yield might suffer slightly but the girls are happy and that's what matters most.
Let me tell you guys a secret....
I have tried Ocean Forest and Happy Frog and...
Fox Farm Strawberry Fields Potting Soil is the bomb for Autoflowers. This is just my first time using it so more research is needed but wow this stuff seems to grow um massive.
Good amounts of bud swelling going on. I'm going to switch them all from Big bud to Overdrive soon. Quality on these buds are very good. Very good genetics.
Looking to harvest sooner rather then later because humidity is 50-70%... I normally have good judgment and harvest right when they are ready and avoid mold/rot. I just have to be careful.
After this grow I'm shutting down this grow room for a short time for upgrades to fix my humidity/temperature issues once and for all. I did not expect winter to bring condensation in here room like this.
P1 Her buds are still pretty young. I adjusted my lights around so now she has more light. She should swell up nicely in the next week or 2. I did drop a LED light while moving lights and snapped 2 branches a few days ago. Shes fine tho.
P2 This girl is a fast finisher. She buds are ripening up very fast. I'm thinking she will come down on day 65-70. She smells so freaking incredible tho...mmm cant wait. I switched her from Big bud to Overdrive on day 56. She will be ready to go very soon.
P3 Beautiful buds but fluffy, very sticky and smelly tho.
P4 Alot of tight buds maybe they will swell up fat.
P5 She now has a true 360w flood light all too her self. Lots of big buds and shes a big drinker.
