Been great so far. Haven’t heard of this strain till I seen it on the site and of course the name gave a hint to part of its parent Gelato (Gelato #41 to be exact). I actually have a couple ounces of Gelato in GroveBags right now still curing so this Dolato will be a great addition!
Great week for Dolato, beautiful healthy roots before transplanting into her 5 gallon air pot home. Premixed plenty of GreatWhite powder to soil and added some to roots before transplanting.
Awesome week for Dolato she is thriving and getting bushy, would like to try this strain with my first scrog somewhere in the near future. Fed her Advanced Nutrients using their first week on their chart and she seemed to love it!
I did make a mistake by accidentally turning off the grow light on the app, so it turned ON an hour late. Hoping that don’t cause any issues!
Great week for Dolato growing growing growing, still waiting for pistils to show up soon. A little bushy did first defoliation on Sunday November 5, 2023!
Doing well this week besides a little under watering a day late from an every 3 day watering/feeding schedule because of my busy schedule. But she perked back up fine and might be showing what I think are signs of female preflowers. Also started to scrog as I find it’s the only way I can continue vegging these photos along side autos, while no compromising the yield on the auto. Raised the lights height and intensity from 40% to 50%
Doing well and growing fast, concerned on whether to continue vegging or going 12/12 cutting the light schedule for the Auto that is growing with them. Been defoliating a lot lately maybe twice a week and tucking sites under the trellis. Water/feeding about every 3 days so Saturdays I feed nutes and Wednesdays PHd water.
Growing strong and waiting to flower, also these pistils still have not yet shown up so I’m guessing she will show on the 12/12 flip. Have been tucking under trellis and watering more frequent which has me worried of root bound because of the lengthy veg time. Another concern is the time left for the Auto to finish more or less a month and a half. which is a lot to continue vegging the Photos in this space without rearranging the trellis or adding a second one above after harvesting the Auto to continue eventually distributing the growth evenly before flipping to 12/12. Will see what happens in the next couple weeks, hopefully the Auto decides to finish sooner than expected with explosive bud growth 🤷♂️
Growing strong and beautiful, not a long way till flip to 12/12. Looks like a small forest in the tent. She has gotten very thirsty seems like I have to water/feed every 2 days a little over half a gallon!
She is pretty big and full had to do more defoliating and tucking under net, but there is not enough space to continue spreading her branches. Will have to consider flipping to 12/12 soon and lose some yield from the Auto. Besides everything else Dolato is doing great just a lot more thirsty as expected!
Growth explosion this week, will have to go in and rearrange things in the tent to continue tucking branches under the trellis. Soon the Auto will be done and I’m hoping to be able to remove her to make space. Dolato is looking good so far and I hope she continues to show progress.

Dolato is doing ok she seems a little sick in need of Calmag which I didn’t have in hand so ended up ordering some. Did a heavy defoliation to get them ready for the trellis again before flowering. They are growing large so I’ll see how I handle them after I harvest the Autoflower in the tent.
She is still looking a little ill but I just received the CalMag I ordered which should help her a little before the flip coming soon. Before the flip I’m planning on adding the trellis again to manage them before 12/12. She has gotten the main cola damaged a bit so I added some tape to hold it up for a while to strengthen up before adding the trellis. The stems have gotten pretty sturdy so hopefully it don’t give me too much of a hard time trying to tuck under the net.
Dolato has been going through a lot sadly, she has lost a couple branches because they snapped at the joint by the main stem. I have been feeding her some calmag and defoliated heavily before adding the trellis back on. Today Monday January 15, 2024 finally flipped to 12/12 so we will see how the stretch goes, hopefully not much!
Doing well so far but I definitely could’ve done a lot better if I just grew the Photoperiods in this tent. But I didn’t so we are just moving forward with what we have done. They seemed to love the 12/12 flip and stretched a little this week so I’m hoping they don’t stretch too much the next couple weeks. We will have to see!
Dolato is doing quite well but this week she has gotten stressed a little due to under watering. Seem like she wants more water instead of every 3 days now it’s every 2 days. We will see how she does coming back if it effects her as bad, besides that she is doing well and smelling nice early. Did some defoliating under trellis and this week I will prune fan leaves one more time and let her do her flowering. The light was increased from 50% intensity to 60% equivalent to 600w.
Dolato continues to stress with underwatering which sucks but it’s hard for me to water them as they need individually so I water every 3 days. Dolato might want to get watered everyday but that might be impossible for me to be on top of. Bud sites are coming in well along with trichomes, so is the smell. Did some pruning but not much because she is not bushy but more lanky somewhat Sativa frame.
Dolato is doing ok she still stresses from underwatered as she wants water every day or two and I feed every 3 days. It’s not convenient for me to water every one on their own time. Besides that she is building up buds and trichomes are nicely layering up. She smells nice I just haven’t been able to point out what exactly is the smell. Did some more pruning for the last time, but now she is showing signs of nutrients deficiency or excess. Hope to figure this one out before it’s too late for recovery!
Would greatly appreciate if the deficiencies are pointed out please? To me it looks like cal mag or iron but I’m not quite sure yet. I am feeding half dose along with all the nutrients on every other watering!
Nutrients that the plant can move around are called mobile nutrients. Nitrogen (N), Magnesium (Mg), Phosphorous (P), Potassium (K), and Nickel (Ni) are examples. These nutrients can be cannibalized and moved to support new growth elsewhere in the plant.
Because N, P, and K are very mobile within the plant and are translocated to young leaves from old, senescing leaves, the symptoms from NPK deficiencies often first appear at the tip of the leaf and subsequently spread to the entire leaf. Under N deficiency, leaves become light green at the tip, and the color then spreads to the entire leaf. Under PK deficiencies, the symptoms are similar, and the leaf tips become yellowish brown. Therefore, the color of the leaf tip can be used to effectively identify symptoms of NPK deficiencies.
Stage is early tho.

Dolato the free seed..she is doing well considering the deficiencies she is dealing with. Besides that she is also stacking a nice amount of trichomes and the buds are going well, of course this is just the beginning of calyx swelling and ripening so more to come. Smells strong like Gelato sweet fruity floral with hints of citrus! She is showing some purple hues which I’m trying to keep under control during this stage of flowering keeping temps around 65°F during lights off.
Dolato is actually a nice plant despite the deficiencies I caused. She has a nice structure good scent and nice frost, buds are coming in nicely but wish things went smoother to see bigger yields. Waiting on Overdrive to plump her up a little more before starting to flush so let’s see what happens.
Am considering trying AutoPots soon, maybe 6 Pot Pro system 3.9gal!
Dolato is swelling and stacking trichomes, branches are starting to tip over I had to tie a few with strings to be held up. This week I cut bloom nutes to half strength, increased UV light from 1 hour and 30 minutes to now 2 hours of UV mid day of lights on. Also dropped lights off temperature to low 60s between 60°F and 62°F! Another week or two and I will start Flawless Finish and flushing.
Dolato is finishing up nicely and bulking up pretty well, buds are falling over so I tied most of them to hold them up right but there were a few I couldn’t reach which are still down. Scent on her is very Gelato like but not as fruity or creamy nor is she very strong scented. Calyx swelled up but some pistils seem to have more time to darken and recede. Been flushing for a week now just waiting for more trichomes to get cloudy before harvesting!
Dolato is looking pretty good didn’t expect a freebie to do so well lol. She is still maturing and trichomes seem to have little ways to ripen so she might need another week or two before harvest. Her scent is not so unique more strong but it’s there, sweet and creamy! Was expecting her to be ready sooner so I’ve been depleting her of nutrients two weeks now. Hopefully she speed up so I can harvest sooner since I’m using the tent for drying with clones, will need to use flowering tent to dry them all together.
Left them in the dark for nearly 48 hours before harvesting, I can’t say for sure if it’s effective or not. But from my perspective the end result smells and tastes a lot cleaner than not giving lights off for at least 48 hours. I find it works for me so I continue to practice it.
Will continue drying them for no less than 10 days if possible, slowly drying.
Would have liked more trichomes to ripen to amber but the tent is needed for the next run! Dry tent is being used with clones.
