For my medium and nutrients I decided to also switch things up from my regular Organic runs, going with Plagron Nutrients and Root Royale 70/30 Coco/Perlite. When filling the fabric pots with medium, I first added just under a gallon of horticulture perlite from Nor-Cal as a base layer to ensure good drainage and then filled the remainder with the Root Royale.

Weekly Updates:
10/10- Here we go again with another killer strain from FastBuds, Strawberry Gorilla! I went ahead and germinated 4 seeds originally by first soaking in a glass of tap water for 12 hours then placing in pre-moistened Peat Pellets, of which all four were successful. Two however looked like they they might not make it, so I germinated 3 more by first soaking for 12 hours, then placed on moist paper towels for 48 hours. I checked them on the third day and all had sprouted. I then planted the additional 3 seedlings next to the ones already in pots and will wait 5-7 days to see which look the best, then cull the 3 'losers'.
10/12- Yesterday, I went ahead and ran the AirCube system manually today to give them their first feed. I have the reservoir filled with 60L of well water which was adjusted to 6.2ph @ 75℉. I then added 60ml each of Plagron Cocos 'A' and Cocos 'B' and 30ml of Plagron Power Roots to the reservoir and, after mixing thoroughly, readjusted the ph to 6.3 @ 75℉. I then ran the AirCube system on the 'Fill' setting for 10 minutes. While the system was filling the pots, I used a soil hydrometer to monitor the moisture level in the medium to make sure that I had the floats in the 'Brain Bucket' that control how much solution flows through the system adjusted correctly. Everything worked flawlessly with all of the pots getting saturated, then fully drained... excellent!
10/14- I ran the AirCube system again today after checking the ph of the reservoir which had risen to 8.0 due to off gassing of CO2 which occurs because of the large air stone I have in the reservoir to oxygenate the water in it. I adjusted the ph to 6.2 using SaferGrow's PH Down which BTW I love! After adjusting the ph, I ran the system manually for 10min, then drained it.
I have the HLG 650R hung @ 28" above canopy and have it set to 45% power on a 19/5 cycle via a TrolMaster HydroX Controller. Tent temp's are running 80-82℉ with the lights on, 74-75℉ during the dark cycle. RH is being maintained by a 1.5g humidifier at 63% currently resulting in a 1.41kPa VPD.
10/17- Well there goes the first week for these three girls and so far, so good! They all have good color and leaf structure and I'm just waiting for them to take off now.
I ran one manual feed cycle today for 15min upping the ppm's to 700, then drained the pots. I'll start gradually increasing the feed schedule along with the ppm of the nutrients starting next week... See you there!💚

10/18- Well here we go into the first real week for the Strawberry Gorilla Auto's from FastBuds!
I've got the AirCube system dialed in now and the plants have responded beautifully! I've upped the nutrients to 650ppm's and am running the PH at 6.0-6.2 @ 74℉. Tent temperatures are running 73/80℉ during lights off/on, RH is being maintained @ 65%, and co2 levels at 1150-1300ppm's. I upped the output of the HLG 650R to 65% via a TrolMaster Hydro-X Controller, and have it hung 28" above the plants.
10/20- Yesterday, I drained and cleaned the reservoir and 'brain bucket', then refilled the system with 60L of well water to which added the following: 100ml each of Plagron Cocos 'A' & 'B', 30ml of Plagron Power Roots and 45ml of Botanicare CalMag+, and 3 tbsp. of Plantonics Amino Bliss amino acids for a final level of 650ppm's. I then checked the ph and adjusted to 6.0 @ 74℉.
I have also set the GrowAce AirCube system to 'Auto' mode and have it set for three 15min feedings a day, six hours apart, beginning two hours after 'lights on'.
10/22- All three Strawberry Gorilla's are looking really good now with great color and vigor. They all have their forth leaf set emerging now and their node spacing is fairly tight currently. With the girls doing well, I'm primarily concentrating on maintaining a consistent environment in the 4x4, paying close attention to temperature, RH, co2 levels and VPD.
The three times a day feeding schedule with Plagron nutrients ( Cocos A & B, Power Roots) continues @ 650ppm. I am also checking the reservoir before each to monitor and adjust the PH and nutrients when needed. I have noticed that after each feed the reservoir PH climbs 0.9of a point to 7.0, so I have been adding 30ml of Safer Grow PH Down which brings the PH down to 6.1.
10/24- Today I drained, cleaned and flushed the AirCube reservoir and 'brain bucket', then filled it with 70L of 74℉ well water. After filling I added the Plagron nutrients separately and also began adding in Plagron Royal Rush.
The feedings of Plagron nutrients continue three times daily, and I'm monitoring the reservoir before each, adjusting the nutrient level to 650-700ppm @ 5.9-6.2 ph. The tent environment has remained dialed in with the VPD averaging 1.40kpa over the last seven days.
The Strawberry Gorilla's are responding well to the feeding schedule, and are also tolerating the increased light output which I now have set to 80% along with setting the co2 levels to 1100-1400ppm.

10/25- Here we go into the third week from breaking ground for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla's and they are all looking healthy!
I am continuing the feedings of Plagron nutrients three times daily, and I'm monitoring the reservoir before each, adjusting the nutrient level to 650-700ppm @ 5.9-6.2 ph. The solution temperature is maintaining a steady 73-75℉. As a side note; as the weather gets colder I may install a heat mat, controlled by a thermostat, under the reservoir to ensure proper temp's in it.
10/27- Our weather has warmed up the past couple of days. Because of this I've had to lower the light output to 55% in order to keep the tent temp's below 82℉. The Strawberry Gorilla's are showing zero sign of heat stress so I'm not terribly concerned, especially as the weather will be dramatically cooling off in a day or two.
I upped the nutrient ppm level to 800 with the addition of Plagron's Royal Rush 8-0-0 which will continue in their feeding through flower. I'll also be adding Plagron Green Sensation in another 7-10 days which will also continue through flowering. I'm continuing to tuck shade leaves daily on all three girls, and have been gently bending down their side branches as well.
10/29- Today I adjusted the feeding schedule for the Strawberry Gorilla's to six feeds a day. The first feed begins two hours after 'lights on', then every three hours until 'lights off' which the girls should enjoy! I am currently keeping the nutrient level to 800ppm, and have begun to introduce Plagron's Green Sensation @ 2ml/g

For my medium and nutrients I decided to also switch things up from my regular Organic runs, going with Plagron Nutrients and Root Royale 70/30 Coco/Perlite. 11/1- Here we go into the fourth week for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla Auto's and they are all looking great, and are very healthy!
I'm continuing the feed schedule of six, 15 minute feeds daily and am leaving the nutrient level at 900ppm. The HLG 650R is now at 100% output, and is hung 28" from the canopy.
I'm keeping a close eye on all of them, looking for the first signs of flower. I also am diligently tucking shade leaves away daily trying to get some light down into the plants.
11/3- Yesterday I decided to do a little bit of defoliation, removing the largest shade leaves on all three which really helped with light penetration. Today all of the plants looked none worse for the wear, and as spunky as ever!
11/5- All three plants are now in flower, I have done LST on all three, tying down branches with horticulture wire. I've also done some defoliation on each plant as they got extremely bushy and were getting zero light down into the lower sections of them. All have responded extremely well to the training and are looking great!
Tomorrow I will empty and clean the reservoir along with the 'brain bucket' as the water has really gotten funky and has an odor that I don't like. Going forward, I'm going to be doing weekly changes on the reservoir where I'll empty/clean/refill and add fresh nutrients. In between changes I'll just be topping off the reservoir with straight water and only checking the PH.

11/8- The first full week of flower is here for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla auto's and they are all looking fantastic!
The feed schedule of six 15 minute feeds daily continues with a 900ppm nutrient level. The HLG 650R remains at 100% output, and is hung 30" from the canopy now as I had to raise it for some taller plants in the tent.
11/10- The Strawberry Gorilla's just hit the one week mark in their flowering and the #2 definitely has the most developed flowers of the three plants, with the #1 and #3's flowers about equal in development.
I'm continuing to adjust the LST wires on all three plants to try and keep as much light penetration down into the centers of the plants which has been working well. I have also removed a shade leaf here and there when necessary.
11/12- Today I drained, cleaned the reservoir and distribution bucket, then refilled the reservoir with 90L of 70℉ well water to which Plagron nutrients were added to give a 900ppm concentration, then ph'd to 5.8. All I am doing now in between drain/refills of the reservoir is adding straight water to maintain the 90L level and checking the ph. Over the course of the 7 days in between reservoir changes the ppm's will slowly drop, but will still be adequate, never dropping below 750ppm's.
The plants are really doing well in this AirCube system and I'm slowly getting a better handle on its 'in's & out's'. I did also check the ppm's of the return solution to see if there was a wide variance from what was going in, and all was good with only a 50-100ppm difference.
11/14- There goes a full week of flower for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla's! They all should really get going in the next couple of weeks and I can't wait to see their progression through flower!

11/15- Here we go into the second full week of flower for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla's and they're each at a slightly different stage in flowering. The #2 plant has the most developed flowers of the three, with the other two just really starting to build their flowers beyond just a few scattered pistils.
I'm continuing with daily monitoring of the AirCube reservoir, checking/adjusting ph and topping off with straight water. The solution strength in the reservoir is still hitting 650ppm but is starting to get discolored so I'll be doing a drain/refill in the next 48hrs before it gets funky.
11/17- Today I drained the reservoir and refilled it with straight well water that has a .3 EC(100ppm) to which I added Plagron's Cocos 'A' and 'B' in equal amounts, Green Sensation, and Royal Rush at 1ml/L and 2ml/L respectively. I also added the last dose of silica, then ph'd the solution to 5.7 @ 69℉.
I also went through all three plants, adjusting their LST and tucking a few leaves that were blocking light.
11/19- The Strawberry Gorilla's are all progressing nicely into flower, and are all looking healthy. They are all starting to really form their flowers now and are all about equal in height. The #2 plant continues to be the one to watch as she's really going strong and has great structure and vigor.
11/21- There's two weeks of flower behind the Strawberry Gorilla's with the #2 by far in the lead. The other two continue to do well and are progressing through flower nicely, and will be catching up to the #2 rapidly. Between the three plants I'm sure they'll be completely covering their side of the 4x4!
I'll be doing a drain/clean/refill on the AirCube reservoir tomorrow to give the girls a fresh dose of nutrients. Hope to see you next week. Growers Love💚

11/22- Here we go into the third week of flower for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla Auto's and they are coming along slowly but surely.
I'm continuing with running the AirCube reservoir for 5-6 days between drain/refill, only topping off with well water and checking.adjusting the PH. The beginning nutrient strength is 800ppm, and over the course of the 5-6 days it has only been dropping approx. 150ppm's.
The #3 plant has some issues with leaf tips 'clawing' and leaves 'taco-ing'. Unfortunately, with this system you're giving all the plants the same thing. If a plant in the run requires less/more nutrients, or prefers less frequent feeds/watering you're shit out of luck. That being said, the #3 looks crappy but it is what it is and we'll see how she deals with her issues. The #2 plant continues to be the stand out of the three and she's on a mission, getting frostier by the day!
11/24- Yesterday I raised the HLG 650R to it's maximum height available putting it approx. 30" above canopy. In addition, I reduced the power to 80% to see if it had any effect on the #3 plants condition. I'll give it 2-3 days to see if there is any change in her appearance, at which point I'll decide what to do with the light output.
The #2 pheno is getting super frosty and is looking like a champ! The #1 plant is just starting to get her 'frost engine' going and I'm hoping she'll follow in the #2's footsteps!
11/26- Tomorrow I will once again be draining, cleaning and refilling the AirCube Reservoir with 80L of well water. After filling, I'll be adding Plagron nutrients to a 800 ppm solution strength, then will adjust the ph to 5.6-5.8 @70-71℉ .

11/29- Here we go into Week 4 of flower for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla's and I wish I could say they are looking epic, but that's not the case. The #2 plant continues to be ahead of the other two, and is really frosting up nicely. The #2 and #3 plants look pretty crappy, and after examining some other plants in the tent I've got a good idea of the issue. The fabric pots that the plants are in are supposed to 'air prune' the roots, preventing them from growing outside of the pot, and instead growing a large mass inside of the pot. I pulled one of the pots from its bucket and it was disgusting, with rotting clumps of roots in the bottom of the bucket along with some nasty looking brown slime. The fabric pot also had roots growing out of it, along with that brown slime across the bottom of the pot...ugh!
12/1- Tomorrow I'll be doing another drain/clean/fill of the reservoir, after which I'll add Plagron Cocos 'A' & 'B' along with Green Sensation and Royal Rush. After adding the nutrients I'll ph the solution to 5.6-5.8 @ 70℉.
12/3- Yesterday I did the drain/fill and continue to have the Plagron nutrient level at 800ppm. The #3 plant continues to struggle, but nevertheless is flowering away and actually has pretty decent trichome production, which I wonder if the stress she's experiencing has an affect on either positively or negatively.
12/5- There is four weeks of flowering for the Strawberry Gorilla's. Although they sure could look a whole lot better, they for sure could look way worse. Hopefully, they'll start to look a bit better in the upcoming weeks... fingers crossed! 😎🤞

12/6- Week 5 of flower... Here we go! All three Strawberry Gorilla's continue to flower away with the #2 pheno still in the lead and looking the best of the bunch. The other two phenotypes have struggled constantly, but nevertheless have survived and I'm curious to see how they'll turn out when finished!
I'm continuing with running the AirCube reservoir for 5-6 days between drain/refill, only topping off with well water and checking/adjusting the PH. The beginning strength of the added Plagron nutrients is 800ppm, and over the course of the 5-6 days it has only been dropping approximately 150ppm's.
12/8- Yesterday I removed the other three plants that were growing in this run with the Strawberry Gorilla's to get finished up. Now the ladies are only sharing the nutrient solution with each other, which hopefully will have positive results... time will tell.
I'm continuing to monitor the AirCube reservoir, maintaining the solution level and PH twice daily. I have the HLG 650R set to 100% output now and have it hung 28" above the canopy.
12/10- Yesterday I went through the #1 and #3 plants and removed a bunch of shade leaves that were either blocking light or were damaged looking. The reservoir is beginning to stink so, tomorrow I'll be doing a drain/clean/fill on it which I'm sure the plants, and my nose will appreciate!
12/12- Now that I have removed the other three plants from their pots, I went ahead and pulled the #3 plant and placed it in the center empty pot giving everybody way more room to spread out. After moving the #3, I did some more LST on all three plants.
Well there goes the 5th week of flower for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla's. They're 8 weeks since breaking ground and have a good 3-4 weeks to go before they're finished.

Weekly Updates:
12/13- Week 6 of flower... Here we go! All three Tropicana Cookies are progressing through flower with the #3 still struggling. The #1 and #2 plants are both doing well, and are definitely two different phenotypes. The #1 plant is taller, bushier, with leaves that have long thin 'sativa' like fingers. While the #2 pheno is shorter, flowered faster, and has leaves that have more of a 'indica' structure to them.
12/15- I am continuing to drain/clean/refill the reservoir every 5 days and will be doing that first thing tomorrow after their last feed of the cycle. The #3 plant seems to be getting some better color in her lower sections, but still looks like crap up top. The #1 and #2 plants continue to impress me with their vigor and development.
12/17- Yesterday, I drained/cleaned/refilled the AirCube reservoir with 80L of well water, and then added the usual combination of Plagron nutrients ( Cocos 'A' & 'B', Green Sensation and Royal Rush) giving a total solution strength of 950ppm which I then ph'd to 5.6 @ 68℉.
12/19- Week 6 of flower's history and we're only 2-3 more weeks away from the finish for these lovely ladies from FastBuds!

12/20- Week 7 of flower and the end is drawing ever closer for these three Strawberry Gorilla's from FastBuds!
Today, I started off this week with a drain/clean of the AirCube reservoir, after which I filled it with 80L of well water and added in the Plagron Nutrients (Green Sensation first, then 'A' & 'B' base nutrients, finally the Royal Rush). After the nutrients were added and the EC checked ( it's 2.0), I ph'd the solution to 5.7 @ 68℉.
12/22- I'm continuing with six feeds per day @ 900+/-ppm's, the HLG 650R is at 100% power 28" above canopy and they are getting 4 hours of additional UV during the middle of the light cycle. Tent temp's are running 68-75℉ at a RH of 40-45% and co2 levels are running 650-900ppm.
12/24- The #1 and #2 plants continue to be the better looking of the bunch, with the #2 being the 'one'. The #3 plant continues her struggle but has a generous coating of trichomes covering her flowers!

12/27- Week 8 of flower for the FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla's in the GrowAce AirCube Active Oxygen Ebb/Flow System and I'm getting ready to begin flushing these ladies in preparation for their finish removing any nutrients from the medium, letting the plant naturally use what it has stored and fading nicely.
12/29- Today I drained and cleaned the AirCube reservoir and 'brain bucket' and switched the system to 'auto drain' only. From here on out I will be manually watering with straight well water that is ph'd to 6.2-6.6 three times daily (one of which has RAW Yucca added to it) for a total of 5g run through each every 24hrs. After I water each through the top, I wait approx. 10-15min and then check the 'brain bucket' water level and to make sure that the pump kicks on, pumping the contents of the 'brain bucket' back into the reservoir. Once the reservoir has 10-15g of waste water in it, I go ahead and drain it out.
12/31- Yesterday I decided to pull all three Strawberry Gorilla's out of their AirCubes and place them on drip trays with risers to get a good flush on them, and I'm glad that I did! When I pulled out the first plant I immediately noticed an abundance of Fungus Gnats, which continued as I pulled the others! This was more than likely my fault due to too many feeds in a day. I probably should have lowered the feed schedule to 2-3 per day, and lowered the floats to not fill the buckets as high, allowing the medium to dry out more. I'm sure the cause was the coco being too wet at the surface for too long... live and learn!
Today the ladies all look much happier seperated and are getting flushed once every other day now. I also have placed a bunch of yellow sticky pads in the tent to knock down the Fungas Gnats in addition to adding some diatomaceous earth, via top dressing, to all three plants to hopefully take care of the larvae in the medium. The #1 and #2 pheno's are both getting some beautiful red and pink coloration in their foliage now as well as getting frostier by the day!

1/3- Well, here we go into what's looking like the last week for these three beauties from FastBuds!
I'm continuing to flush all three and the #1 and #2 pheno's are really getting some beautiful coloration! The #3 plant that has struggled the entire run is so pale she almost looks white, but she's the terpiest of the three, which I think is due to the stresses that she's been under. All three cultivars are covered in frost, and on the #1 and #2 pheno's the trichomes even cover their shade leaves!
1/5- After checking the trichomes on all three I decided to begin their 72 hours in the dark when today's light cycle is finished. All three plants have 85-90% milky trichomes with 5% amber showing, and will continue to mature during the 72 hour dark period before they are hung to begin the drying process.
1/8- Well, today is the day! All three Strawberry Gorilla's were released from 3 days in 'dark🌑jail' and all three look absolutely gorgeous! 😍
All three Strawberry Gorilla's are loaded with trichomes, and each has its own unique terpene profile with the #3, shockingly the 'loudest' of the trio. The #2 is the best looking of the bunch IMO, with the #1 taking the middle slot.
After taking some pic's of all three, I cut them each off at their base and hung them in my AC Infinity 4x4 to dry for 10-14 days. I have the tent equipped with a de-humidifier, humidifier, and a fan to keep the air gently circulating. It's winter here so I'm pulling in outside air into the tent which is keeping the temp's in the 55-60℉ range, and I'm keeping the RH at 50% for the first 24hrs, then I'll up it to 60% for the remainder of the hang time. I hope to see you at the harvest report, I know I can't wait to see how these beauties finish up! 💚Growers Love!

Here we go fam!...after 13 exciting weeks this run of three FastBuds Strawberry Gorilla Autoflowers has come to an end and, despite some hiccups along the way, all three of this phenomenal cultivar delivered the goods!
This was my first attempt at 'hydroponic' growing and honestly I made some mistakes along the way. In hindsight, I ran too many feed cycles in a 24hr period which did not allow the medium and fabric pots dry out enough which led to a Fungus Gnat infestation which wasn't caught until late into flower. I also think I had the nutrient level set too high which may have kept the upper portion of the medium too wet. Other than those issues the only other hindrances were related to the actual ebb/flow system itself and beyond my immediate control such as plant spacing, solution temperature etc.
I will say that when using this AirCube system I found out the hard way that you really need to have all of your plants starting at the same time, and preferably of the same strain unless you're using a trellis net to control the canopy height. Lastly, I will say that the GrowAce AirCube system was very well built, used quality materials, is expandable, and was very easy to setup and get running.
Now to the plants... All three Strawberry Gorilla's were germinated together and sprouted within 24hrs of one another. I did very minimal training on them consisting of leaf tucking and gentle bending of branches, then some LST using horticulture wire starting in Week 1 of flower, which all three responded well to. All three pheno's began to flower right around Day 24 from seed and continued for another 10 weeks. I kept the tent temperatures during veg and early flower between 76-80℉ with the light on, and 70-72℉ with the light off and the RH at 60-70%. Once in flower, I gradually lowered the 'light on' temperature to 72-75℉ and 65℉ during the dark period. I also lowered the RH down to 35-40% during late flower. The entire run they were fed Plagron nutrients exclusively, using their Cocos 'A' and Cocos 'B' along with Green Sensation. Power Roots and Royal Rush. I had nothing but great results from this lineup from Plagron and highly recommend their entire product line!
I ended up with three distinct phenotypes, two of which leaning more to the fruity/strawberry side. The third pheno was Glue all the way, with a pungent, chem-like aroma that will make your eyes water! The #1 and #2 phenotypes took on some beautiful coloration through late flower, expressing shades of purple, pinks and lavender. Both of them also had a very fruity/sweet aroma that grew extremely strong during late flower. The #3 phenotype struggled a little bit during the run and was affected the most by the Fungus Gnats (which I'm sure affected her yield) but incredibly ended up not only being the most aromatic of the bunch, but also the frostiest! The #3's flowers were a lime green with hints of pink and lavender on some, all were covered in large headed trichomes!
Once the Strawberry Gorilla's reached Week 8 of flower I began regular checks of their trichomes and once they had reached a ratio of 90% milky/10% amber I placed all three plants in darkness for 72hrs in the 4x4, keeping the temperature at 64℉ and a RH of 35%. After three days in the dark I chopped and hung the plants whole in the 4x4 suspended by a wire I ran across the tent. I kept gentle air circulation going in the tent and maintained a temperature of 55-60℉ and monitored the RH, keeping it at 50% for the first 24hrs, then 60% for the remainder of the hanging time. The first plant was ready to trim in 9 days, with the other two 10 & 11 days respectively. All three were trimmed and their flowers placed in Mason jars with a hygrometer inside to begin the curing process. The beautiful 'sugar trim' was sifted on my 24"x24" four screen setup which I did outside on my porch on a calm day that was only 38-40℉. I got a tremendous return of 42g of some beautiful 90u sift that I can't wait to press into rosin!
All in all, having cultivated this strain previously I can say that the results could have been a whole lot better, but... taking into consideration my level of expertise with hydroponic growing and the stresses that the Strawberry Gorilla's had to contend with, I'd say that it was a win and a testimony to how resilient and strong this strain from FastBuds is... It's no wonder that Strawberry Gorilla Auto is a trophy winner!🏆
