Successful germination of all 4 seeds. White Widow and OG Kush popped in about 24 hours, the Gorilla Zkittlez took about 36 and the OGxWhite Widow love child took around 48. Excited for another fresh start, look forward to what this grow brings. Happy Growing!
Happy to say all have had a successful first week of life! All 4 are sitting at roughly 2 inches tall. Light intensity has been pretty low at 25% so will gradually increase throughout the week until we get to around 50%. Last week watering was just tap water. Introduced first nutrients today. Pretty solid week in the tent. OG Kush and Gorilla Zkittlez are doing great. White Widow and the OGxWhite Widow cross are both showing slight signs of overwatering, so I’m going to let them dry out a little before I feed next. The OGxWW cross is a little behind the other 3 developmentally, but I’m hoping she’ll catch up in the next week or 2. Looking forward to what the next week brings, happy growing!
Lots of good growth this week! I went ahead and topped all 4 today, a little early but I’ve had pretty good success in the past topping with similar growth so I’m optimistic. I will introduce some LST later this week. Expecting a little slowdown while they recover but excited to see what growth this week brings!
Late update this week, but plants are doing great. I topped end of last week and all responded exceptionally well. I’ve done a little LST, but definitely need to work more with them. That said, I’m very pleased with the progress so far. I’ll be transplanting to 5 gallon bags on Monday. Happy growing!
Transplanted into 5 gals this morning, beautiful root balls across the board. I incorporated some pretty heavy LST as well (I know it’s stressful, but I do this every grow with good results!) mistakes were made with the OGxWhite Widow and she lost one of her main stems, I bandaged her up and did less training with her than the other 3, fingers crossed she heals up in the next week or 2. I plan to top all 4 a second time in the next week or 2, once they are acclimated to the new pots. Finishing up mid veg nutes this week and will move to late veg feeding starting Sunday or Monday. I’ll be introducing the ScrOG net soon as well. Excited to see what growth the week brings, happy growing!
Plants are loving the extra room in the 5 gal bags, all had responded so well since transplant I went ahead and did the 2nd topping on each this morning. I’ll add the ScrOG net later this week to help train them out. As usual, my end goal is wall to wall canopy coverage, and the net is a huge help. Excited to see what growth this week brings!
A solid week of growth! Plants are responding very well to the 2nd topping and have flourished since lowering the ScrOG net. At this rate I think we should have a fairly full canopy even prior to the stretch. I’m going to do a fairly heavy defoliation and then give them a few days to recover. Undecided on whether I’ll flip to flower this week or next, but I know we’re very close! Excited to see what growth this week brings! Happy growing!
A fantastic week in the tent! We now have wall to wall canopy coverage! I did some significant defoliation to the lower third of each plant to promote better airflow. I had done minimal defoliation until this point and it was much needed. Switching to flower tonight, I’m very excited for the stretch, they have all really done extremely well to this point, hoping bloom will be just as successful as veg! I plan on lollipopping around week 10 or 11, but the defoliation I did prior to flip should make it nice and easy. Excited to see what the week brings, happy growing!
Another great week in the tent. Visible pistils on all 4 as they transition. Quite a stretch in week 1, just under 6 inches. I’ll probably add the dehumidifier to the tent this week to lower the humidity to a more comfortable range. Excited to see the growth this week brings!
Some amazing growth this past week! They stretched a whopping 8 inches from last week. I went ahead and introduced a 2nd ScrOG net about a foot above the first and they’ve already completed filled it out. Humidity has been sitting pretty between 50-55% so the dehumidifier is doing its job. Bud sites are abundant, and everything is looking beautiful! I plan to lollipop these this weekend so they can focus the majority of their energy on flower production. Excited to see what the week has in store. Happy growing!
Another fantastic week in the tent! As we rounded out week 3 of stretch I thought it was time to go ahead and lollipop so they can focus all of their energy on building nice fat colas! All 4 responded phenomenally, and aren’t showing any signs of over stress. Humidity has stayed nice and consistent and these ladies are really seeming to thrive! It’s been a busy week in the tent. All had responded well to the lollipopping last week, so I decided to do a final defoliation to maximize airflow and light penetration in the lower canopy. I stripped a ton of leaves in the lower canopy, particularly in the white widow, and found some very light deprived struggling budsites. Just 3 days later and the yellow growth is slowly turning green as they can finally get some light and air! The defoliation was definitely much needed. I don’t plan on doing much more aside from feeding between now and harvest, so hopefully they can continue to fatten up and enjoy a (moderately) low stress last few weeks. I’m guessing we’ve got about 4-5 more weeks, but as always we’ll let the trichs make the final decision. Very excited to see them continue to mature, and as always, excited to see what the next week brings!! Happy Growing!
Another fantastic week in the tent. Buds have continued to develop nicely. I’m seeing a boost of trichome development this week and each time I open the tent I’m met with a gorgeous bouquet of aroma. It’s been a very sweet, fruity scent with hints of pepper (or maybe licorice?) hard to place honestly but I can say it a mells absolutely amazing! Doubling up on KoolBloom and reducing the main nutes as we finish out bloom and move towards ripen. I’m estimating 3-4 weeks until harvest, but as always I’ll let the trichs be the final decider. I’m in no rush, so they can take their time to finish out strong! Excited to see what the next week brings. As usual, happy growing!!
Another solid week in the tent. Trichome production is really taking off. Pistils are starting to withdraw on the WW and all 4 plants are really starting to get nice and frosty. We’re in the home stretch! I’m noticing some gorgeous blue, purple and pink undertones (especially on the White Widow and Gorilla Zkittlez) I plan to flush with ice water when it’s time to maximize my the mulicolor potential. Excto see what the next few weeks bring.
The trichomes are telling me we’re about ready! Switching over to water to flush out this week, and towards the end of the week I’m going to switch to ice water for some last minute trichome production and to amplify the colors. The White Widow is already really showing out with some beautiful purples, so I’m excited to see what the ice water does. I’ve never tried this before but I’ve seen great results from others and the logic behind it makes sense to me, so here goes! All in all it’s been a great grow, and im very excited to see the final results. These are by far the tallest I have grown to this point, so it will be interesting to see how they compare against previous harvests. I’ll have 2 new diaries in the near future, another 4 strains 1 tent, and then a single plant hydro run, so stay tuned! Will be my first experience with DWC so excited to see how it goes. An all around fantastic strain. Very easy to grow, extremely hearty and resistant, I highly recommendt for beginners and experienced growers alike! I didn’t get a wet weigh in, however following a thorough dry the dry weight was a whopping 146 grams!! This is my 2nd time growing this strain and I absolutely love it. Fairly easy to grow, very hearty and beautiful large colas! I would recommend for beginners experienced growers alike, however I will say this is a very bushy strain, so if you’re not comfortable with a good bit of defoliation this one may not be for you. That said you’re definitely rewarded for all of the work! I didn’t get a wet weigh in, however following a thorough dry the dry weight was 130 grams of beautiful pinecone sized nugs! This was my first time growing this one and pretty happy with the results. Fairly easy to grow, a good strain for beginners (or anyone in my opinion). Beautiful large colas, speckled with deep purples and beautiful crystals. Definitely worth the grow! This one came in at the lowest of all 4 in the tent, with a dry weight of 119 grams. That said, still a solid yield, and I’m definitely looking forward to enjoying her in the future! So this was a seed produced by a hermied plant in my last grow, White Widow hermied, and pollinated OG Kush, and we were left with the love child that grew to be ironically the biggest yielder of this grow! She shows off the best characteristics of each parent, long, tall colas like the OG, but fat and dense and covered in beautiful crystals like the White Widow. She had some darker blurples, very similar to the White Widow, and was OUTSTANDINGLY resilient. This poor plant took more abuse than any other and she just kept growing and growing! In the end, she netted a total dry weight of 169 grams! (Just over 6 oz for those who don’t want to convert lol) this brought the total overall harvest to a whopping 563 grams!! (Over 20oz!) this makes the 3rd consecutive harvest where I’ve pulled over 1lb, so very happy with the results!
