I'm back! Had to take a break because of summer and its temps. Turns out I had a big fungus gnats infestation in an old stock of coco coir, I tried to "sterilize" it (on the 2nd diary, RIP that too) but it didn't work. So, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of the little shits. Same setup as always though, the μSetup (micro), the keyword: efficiency. The Tent is a Zelsius 40x40x120 cm, substrate is Wilma Cocolite, light is Mars Hydro TS1000 dimmed down and the nutes are Terra Aquatica TriPart. Seeds germinated on water and paper towel the 26 of August. I popped a third one two weeks later because i thought i couldn't fill the tent (big mistake). 18 hours a day with light at 300 PAR, 40 W from the wall. Flipped the lights 12/12 on the 21 October, now at 500-600 PAR at 75 W. I learnt a lot of things in this grow like that too little nutes is almost bad as too much nutes, I tought it was less relevant, but no, better watch the color of the leaves instead of the PPMs. Anyway, now I wait for the flower stretch hoping it won't be too much of a hustle. I'm probably going to have problems with watering, humidity and light penetration but still, I wanted to maximize the productivity, I always thought that growing on bigger tents was easier but too inefficient, I don't know, will I regret selling the 1x1m tent?

Now at 90 w from the wall at 800 par. Flipped the lights 12/12 on the 21st of October, at 500-600 PAR at 75 W. Week 9 (and a half) 1 week of flowering, stopped stretching, going to bend some taller branches to level it out. Stretching is more prominent on the Black Jack CBD. Going a bit heavy with the feeding. Next week I'm going with the recommended dose + some Cal Mag. So, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of the little shits. Same setup as always though, the μSetup (micro), the keyword: efficiency. All going smoothly, gradually increasing the watts (104w that she's eating like a champ), decreased the nutes to the recommended dose, RH is high and making my dehumidifier sweat, but again, everything's good. So, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of fungus gnats. Same setup as always though, the μSetup (micro), the keyword: efficiency. All going smoothly, nothing new to report. I should probably start looking into watering every 2 days. I've being watering every 4 days. I dimmed the lights down to 75 W, upped the Nitrogen and bought a new PH meter because the old one was not working, that's why the deficiencies, I probably was watering with water at more than 7 PH. See you next week! Anyway, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of fungus gnats. Lights are back at 80 W, I've being watering every 4-5 days. Defoliating as the Lady puffs up and upped again the Nitrogen. The Black Jack CBD buds are still pretty much hollow compared to the Special Queen(s), we'll see tho, have a nice week! Anyway, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of fungus gnats. Same setup as always though, the μSetup (micro), the keyword: efficiency. Lights are back at 100 W, I've being watering every 4-5 days, buds are getting fatter, to the touch are very sticky and hard as rock. Forgot this week to take some close-up photos with the flash. See ya! Anyway, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of fungus gnats. Maximizing these last weeks of flowering getting closer with the lamp so that the two Special Queen #1, that are shorter than the Black Jack CBD, would get the last ray of "sun" even if that means that the Black Jack CBD is going to "suffer" and foxtail a bit. Some trichomes are starting to get amber. Buds on the Black Jack CBD are still much emptier than the other two girls. Anyway, after the summer, I got a new bag of coco coir and pots (5L) to avoid overwatering and the return of fungus gnats. Same setup as always though, the μSetup (micro), the keyword: efficiency. Or have you ever smoked a foxtailed bud? Do you think that foxtailing is bad?

I don't see any foxtailling on your plant, just big bud that are still blooming (I call it "overbudding"). ^^ You can usually limit over-flowering by lowering level of nutrients in your fertiliser programme. Foxtail is when the calyxes stack on top of each other like ears of wheat, instead of forming conical buds. It's a genetic mutation. Take a look at the pictures in this thread: https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/foxtail.54898/

Had to harvest at least a week before the schedule, especially for the Black Jack CBD, strain that foxtailed al lot and I mean, A LOT, had to throw at least four BIG nugs (50 grams at least) full of mold, but hey, I knew what I was doing and what I was doing was playing with fire. So no photos for the Black Jack CBD, just some popcorn bud here and there. Experiment over, now with a new grow, just one plant this time, more than enough for 40cmx40cm. In the meantime, I'll smoke the freebies from RQS, solid strain the Special Queen #1, one it got almost purple, hardest nugs ever touched, 25 grams per plant not bad I think.

Bought this strain for mixing it with other strains, it grew fine until I decided to chuck two other plants in a 40x40 cm (15x15 in) tent. It gave me two of the biggest cola I've ever seen in my life, but I had to throw everything in the trash because of mold issues, as far I can see Sweet Seeds strains tend to foxtail a bit if stressed too much and that doesn't help if you do stupid experiments like this. Add too much RH, and there we go, a recipe for disaster. I'll keep it in mind in the next grow. So, in the end I was left with a couple of grams of non moldy flowers. Experiment failed. See you in the next grow! btw since I was in a rush after the discovery of the mold I started cutting everything off and that's because I didn't take any pictures
