This week I started by changing a) the humidity inside ( changed to 40-45% RH )
b) changing the nutrients schedule so below
- biogrow 1ml /Lt
- biobloom 4ml /Lt
- top max 4ml /Lt
- alg a mic 4ml /Lt
- bio heaven 5ml /Lt.
I reduced the watering to 3 times per week together with the above nuts and increased the water to 2Lts per watering . I’m planning to stick with the above for the next week too sincerely I don’t see anybody see nutrient burn or lockout yet.
When is the appropriate time to cut the leaves in half in order to boost the blooming stage and increase my yield ? I’m starting now the flowering stage and I want to try out this method but I’m not sure when is the right time.I need to increase the bud sites too. is it possible?
Hello @CaptainJimmyStoned ! Do not cut any leaf at half. These techniques have no scientific back up and they are not only give no benefit but they are making harm to the plants. Once in a while someone pops at the forums and saying weird things and sometimes those weird things gets to much publicity . The only way to increase the number of bud sites is to make some kind of training HST or LST depends from your experience. Happy growing ! 👊
Are the nutrients that I use ok for the plants ? I use 8ml in total per liter. I water 1lt per da to all 5 plants evenly, and what is collected on the tray, the roots use it I suppose cause they are already in the tray
Well firstly based on what I can see your nutrients that you are using are slightly wrong . When your getting ready to flower you wanna bost the PK of your plants so it helps promote new buds sites as well as facilitate the transition from veg to flower . The reason I say this is based of the pictures I see your plants already showing pre-flowers which means its time to start adjusting for flowering . I might also suggest that you defoliate your plant taking away all the leaves and lower bud sites that wont get enough light to fully develop . This will kick your plant into over drive making the current bud sites you have forming even bigger and form faster . It will also help provide an even canopy so your plant will grow evenly . So all in all I would switch your nutrient line up to a more bloom oriented formula and water them less give them more water at once but don't water them every day this will help your plant go through what people call a dry phase making the roots expand even more because they are looking for moisture . I hope this information helps you ! -Happy Growing!
I’m planning to water cure my weed. Is it necessary to flush my plants or not; and instead continue the nutes for a week more than was planned ( since all the nutes, chlorophyll etc will be diluted in the distilled water during the water curing process ) and why ?!
@CaptainJimmyStoned, I see no necessity to flush your plant if you do watercuring. All nutrients are salt, and the Carbs/,molasses you gave are sugar. Salts and sugars are watersoluble. So you can get rid of all disturbing stuff while watercuring.. short version: no flush, and nutes are watersoluble. Happy curing. Its agreat method toboost everything until the last day. Happy curing
Don’t cut even yellowing leaves. Bend her over and pin her double. Cut wire coat hangers and form a long U. Look at my current NL 5 grow. I bent her over somewhere around your time.
hey there, cutting leaves in half will harm not help. Very few HST techniques have positive effects on autos yield. Basically by now it's impossible to increase the number of flower nodes, but what you can do is increase the yield by removing lower flower nodes so the upper ones get much bigger. You'll often hear that "it's never too late to lst" well yes and no, you can LST but it will harm your yield if you start it too late. Honestly i would clean up the bud sites, make sure the colas are nice and straight and enjoy the show ! the best thing for you to increase your yield is to get a stronger light. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Dont agree to Mr. Lothbrock, your Nutrients are good, your Plants still inTransition and stretchin, in this case they will need the NItrogen ( Biogrow) maybe 1 or 2 times more . BUUUUUT not so much Of Biogrow....8ml is way to much !!!!If the Stretch is over you should skip the Biogrow and just giving Blooming fertiliser in a low dosage. When you see nice Responds you can get a higher Dosage in P+K. ( Blooming Fertiliser)
And I wont Defoilate an Automatic Plant.... the Lifecircle is too short for defoilatiing. She gets stressed and want to grow all the leaves again and the energy goes into leaves and not Flowers But you can do some Leaf-Tucking, Look if flowers arrive, which leaves are blocking the Light to the Flowers. and you can pick every time just a few leaves. More additions in the Comments.
Ok here comes the Additions
You can do badly things with Nutrients, and yes less is always more, A plant can handle Nutrient def very well , but to much makes her sick
@CaptainJimmyStoned, Your plants are well on track to giving you kick ass medicine . No matter what at the end of the day you need to PK spike because your starting flower and any grower will tell you that and they will tell you the reasons why just like I done :)
@CaptainJimmyStoned,yes you are right. Lets talk that per pm...pls right corner down the screen is a paperplane, click on it and aprivate section opens
I have to say, check the scope out again. It does not look like you have very many cloudy tricomes, it looks like most are clear. This is kid of a trick played with lighting as when light hits the tricome just right it looks white, but if you look at them at the right angle you can see the round part at the top is clear. I can see this in your first pic entitled 'tricomes'. That said, I think you are pretty safe with 3 weeks before harvest.
@CaptainJimmyStoned, yes, so the idea of flushing is to remove as much ppm (parts per million) or nutrients and junk in your tap water. Basically to bring the level as low as possible. So why distilled water is better, what you really want to flush with is an even lower ppm. This can be obtained by using RO water (reverse osmosis). You can usually get this at a supermarket that dispenses water into your own jugs. Usually RO water is very low with ppm, like 5 or something. That is the preference for flushing. If you can't get RO water, distilled will work. Hope that helps!
@BeefWellingtons, hi bro ! I will cross check them again today, and with different angles and lighting. Do you know if there is a difference flushing with tap water and flushing with distilled water ?
Looking good my friend! The bamboo was a great addition as they seem to be stretching quite bad to reach the light. Check out my Auto Northern Light Grow from earlier this year I had the light as low as 18 inches but I usually kept it at about 24 inches and that was with a 600watt HID lamp which if I am not mistaken would create more heat than the Fluorescent lights
@CaptainJimmyStoned, ohh true, makes sense. The distance will definitely help! Refer to what Bulbi commented, doing that is the best thing for autos because your on such a short time frame. I would do exactly what he said.
@Wiebechillin, hi bro. Unfortunately I made a mistake and I placed the lamp fixed. Will buy the adjustable strings and I will install them ASAP. The girls are started the flowering phase, and I need as many bud sites as possible. Hopefully adjusting the distance accordingly, will let me achieve that too.
Be careful with the nutes because you growing auto's :) i use the same nutrients as you BioBizz but its easy to burn autoflowers.. rather give them a to little than to much.. its easier to fix if they need more :) peace bro
Its good that you darlings are in a smartpot, that makes it very easy to transplant, otherwise in other pots it is very risky. Give them a big pot and they will love it
