Hello there! Second week has begun, no particular matters or comment to do. They look pretty good. Next week I'll start giving nutrients 11th day, first leaves are getting a bit curly, could be heat stress? Temperature goes rarely over 28°C !

Grow Questions

On the 31st day I noticed that, in both the plants, the leaves started yellowing from the bottom of the plant! For now the yellowing reached the first couple of fan leaves. You can see that in last three photos. Could be some pH issue or some over/under feeding?

To me there's no problem other then the PH being off just a little bit in soil its ideal to be at 6.5-6.7 those are just your very starting leafs they always turn yellow after some time . I would keep doing what your doing because if you had a problem you would see it in other leaves as well not just those ones . I would prune those off and keep growing ! Ain't nothing wrong with what I see here . -Happy Growing !

Referring to the last 4 photos: I think I could have removed many more leaves, but I wanted to ask you if I should or not. Referring in particular to the last two photos: what should I do with these little stems for a proper defoliation/lollipopping? Leave them or chop them off?

When in doubt, it is always best to defoliate less. Also don't defoliate during the first 3 weeks of flower, you will take the plants energy away from producing bud sites, delaying the flowering. You seem to have left some bud sites with no leaves, every bud site that you want to develop needs leaves to get energy from. Some LST would be good to get a more even canopy and expose more of the mid lower bus sites. As for the lower stems / foliage, bud sites that low you can get rid of (since they will barely amount to anything); as for leaves, there's no point in getting rid of the lower leaves, you gain nothing, unless you want to improve air circulation, at the very least they serve as an early warning system against deficiencies. Hope that helps, good luck

Referring to last photo (week 12), she is having weird behaviour: some leaves showing N deficiency (probably normal in this stage) but others are showing some kind of toxicity (?). Also can look like K deficiency, but it would be strange cause I'm pumping it in. What could it be?

Hey there @bombadil. Plants have 2 types of nutrients called mobile and immobile nutrients. Immobile nutrients CANT be moved around the plant and due to this the symptoms show directly on the newer growth where the deficiency is active. The other type of nutrient is Mobile. Mobile nutrients can be pulled from the lower leaves to be given to the newer growth up top as a survival method so they show symptoms on the bottom side of the plant first. You have a mobile nutrient deficiency evidenced by the lower growth being effected first by the absence. I see magnesium deficiency immediately. You will want to lower that PH 6.8 is to high you will want a PH of around 6.2-6.3 to give better access to all the nutrients including your deficient one Magnesium. Just be sure to give her that magnesium and she should stop showing signs of regression! Please update us on this Bombadil! 😎

@Bombadil Sorry for typos In the answer i'm on mobile. "You look to have a mobile nutrient deficiency** evidenced by the lower growth being effected by the chlorosis(yellowing). I see magnesium deficiency immediately. You will want to lower that PH 6.8 is to high you will want a PH of around 6.2-6.3 to give better access to all the nutrients. Just be sure to give her that magnesium!"

I agree with @HighTV about the magnesium deficiency, however I would ph at 6.5. Here is a great video that shows your symptoms: https://youtu.be/5A5GOzlbOaA Also I would either get a straight magnesium supplement or go with a little cal-mag supplement to fix this issue.

BeefWellingtonscommented6 years ago
@HighTV, Ok , I agree with this 6.2 ph, as I looked at.last two weeks. However what was the true ph of the last 2 feedings,.6.8?
HighTV
HighTVcommented6 years ago
@bombadil I was thinking the soil is raising the PH drastically that why I was leaning towards the lower side (I wonder what the runoff is). If you have a straight magnesium supplement as @BeefWellingtons, mentioned then that would be perfect, because you could flush that Nitrogen toxicity causing your leaves to claw while still giving the magnesium they want.

Welcome to grow diaries feel free to ask any questions you may have! A good tip is to use a smaller container when they are younger then transplant them into the final container later. This helps you regulate the water amount - that little guy is never going to drink that container dry so watering might be difficult. Good luck with the grow 😎

@HighTV, Thank you again for your willingness, I really appreciate that! When it's time to start the LST I'll need for sure some advices ;) Still don't know if I'll enter in a competition, I'm using a cheap set-up and have very little experience, so let's see what happens.

HighTVcommented6 years ago
@Bombadil, Just keep an eye out, because its going to be easy to over-water in a pot like that! You should be fine tho since you are aware of it! 💪 Are you entering your diary into a competition when its complete? Thats a really fun thing to do! Feel free to ask any questions about growing/or grow diaries! (also GD's has a question system you can use to ask for help about the grow if you need a more immedate repsonse)

Nice grow so far! Beautiful plants 👍 I'm growing 2 Amnesia Lemon's along 3 Amnesia Kush (Dinafem). I'm in week 6 now. Good to have a little preview how my grow could go 😉 Good luck & have a great flowering 👊

@@JackSpliff, Thank you! I'm hoping for a good flowering! I think it is a pretty strong strain so far, very enjoyable to grow. Good luck to you as well. I looked at your bubba's gift buds a few days ago, they look awesome!

Can you post your nutrients and amounts? How often are you watering and how much? Have you been removing leaves? Good luck with your grow!
Bombadil
Bombadilcommented6 years ago
@BeefWellingtons, Hello! I insert my nutrients and amounts in the dedicated section since I started, maybe I made something wrong and you can't see it? Anywat they are very cheap nutes: Atami b'cuzz soil A&B, and Atami bloom stimulator from week 7. I'm watering mostly 0.25 liters per pot (about 18 liters both pots) everyday and sometimes 0.5 liters every two days. I removed only the bottom, almost-fallen leaves. Thank you for your interest and good luck with your grow too!
