Hey everyone! 1st time posting on Growdiaries 😀 And 1st time using LED lights - let's go! Really curious to see what I can achieve using this setup. I've only had experience with HID lamps or growing outdoors. Planned on using the lamp at 50% for the first week or so, but max. temps we're a little too low for me, at 22º-23º C, so brought it up to 100% today. I'm using a Caluma LED Force 150w. Thanks for looking! Day 06 update: The girls are doing well and seem to enjoy the Caluma 150w. So far looking healthy, showing good development and nice shades of green :) Smoothly sailing out of week1 into week2! Have a nice day growmies 👍

Hey everyone! Week 2 is going well for these ladies :) Day09: The two Auto Somango Glue seem to be happy, healthy and are growing strong. The two Auto Afghan Skunk however, showed a weird claw-like curl on their second set of leaves. They're still growing and I don't see any kind of discoloration on those leaves, though. I've been watering sparingly, 0.5L every 48h approximately, so I'm thinking they may be stressing due to too much light...? I brought the light inensity down to 75% and raised it 10cm yesterday to see what happens. The Auto Afghan Skunk 1 is already showing signs of improvement. Hopefully the other one will too - fingers crossed! I'm just guessing honestly 😏 Any suggestions would be welcome and highly appreciated! ---- Day 14: I've definitely overwatered these girls. I was following my instinct based on my experience using HID lights, which generate a lot more heat and cause for 1. plants drinking more and 2. faster water evaporation. Of course LEDs don't genrate as much heat and I need to adjust my watering habits...! 😏 Should have payed closer attention, but hey, you live you learn right? Luckily growth isn't stunted and the two Somango Glue keep growing strong :) The two Afghan Skunk seem to be suffering a bit more from overwatering, but they're showing signs of recovery so I'm confident they'll bounce back 💪 The girls got a 200ml watering on day 10 and didn't get any water since then. Waiting for the pots to dry out some more before next watering. I turned off the fan inside the tent so the girls can have a little more heat too. Hoping that will help dry out the soil faster This was it for week 2! Take care and have a great week Thanks for looking 👊

Hey! Looking for some help identifying what's going on with my Auto Afghan Skunk girls. They are 9 days old and have a weird claw-like curl on the second set of leaves since they 1st appeared. Too much light? Too much water? Take a look at my diary for more info. Thanks a lot 😏

Clawing downward like this at such a young age is a for sure sign of over watering. Let the pots dry out a bit before watering again you'll know because the pots will be super light when you pick them up.

Hey Growmies! Week 3 showed some improvement on the overwatering symptoms. Barely watered throughout the week, as I wanted the pots to dry out as much as possible. 200ml on day 15 and 250ml on day 20. The substrate temperature was quite low, so I installed a small 14w heating mat under the pots on day 17, which has been keeping the soil between 20º-22º C. The two Afghan Skunk ladies still seem affected by overwatering but they're bouncing back strong, apparently 😁 The two Somango Glue ladies are doing pretty well! Started some LST on all ladies on day 17 and they're starting to branch out pretty well. Hopefully it doesn't get too crowded in there, but let's see where things go 😉 Today I noticed some preflowers on 2 of the girls, so I'm expecting some stretch over the course of week 4. Thanks for stopping by 😊 Take care!

Hey gang! The girls have entered the preflowering phase 🙌 I worked a little more on LST over the week and I'm happy with the way they've branched out, but they generally haven been looking a little down the last days. They've been growing, but don't look very healthy and there's not as much stretch going on as I expected / am used to. Maybe, aside from the overwatering issues I've been trying to sort out, something to do with a sudden temperature drop we had a few days ago...? On that day min. temps were 16º C and max. temps have also been hard to keep over 22º C on some days. They've been taking a little more water now, giving them 400ml each every 4 days more or less, but mostly look droopy the 2 days after. I made some holes on all sides of the pots to help with areation, hopefully that'll help! Yesterday was the last watering of the week with only water, enzymes and a little CalMag. Will start gradually cutting back on veg nutes and introducing bloom nutes over the course of week 5. It's all been a little discouraging, as I was used to having good results with a 250w hps setup, but hell - I know I can have good grows with this setup too! Just need to learn a little again, and I'm fine with that 😄 I'm sticking with this grow until the end and will see what happens / what I learn from it 👍 Thinking about changing a few things before my next grow, to help keep temperatures up in this cold growing space and hopefully have healthier plants: - Replace my exhaust fan (145-187 m3/h) and use something a little weaker - Possibly switching to fabric pots for better areation of the roots - Maybe getting a second 14w heat mat. Thanks for looking! Take care 😉

Hey Growmies! Week 5 comes to an end today. Overwatering symptoms persist and that was very obvious over the stretching period. They didn't stretch like I'm used to and are now only 31 - 34 cm tall, while the stretching period seems to be coming to an end. The two Auto Somango Glue have had very droopy leaves at the top throughout the week, whether they had just been watered or whether the soil was dry. The two Auto Afghan Skunk have been looking a little better, but not great. They all received 400ml of plain water today, at a PH of 6.3 and runoff measurements showed the PH in the soil is a little too high - probably salt build up due to overwatering..? Also pruned off some of the lower leaves and very low bud-sites today. I managed to bring up the temperature considerably over the past few days, having reached max. temps of 28-29ºC on the last 2 days and min. temps have been much better at 20-21ºC. Eager to start a new grow honestly 😅 But I'm comitted to following through with this one! I'm hopeful they still produce some decent flowers, even if the harvest is small. Let's see! Take care and have a great week :) Deelicious

Hey Growmies! Starting week 6 today! Although I usually update by the end of each week, I felt like I needed to share: The droopy leaves on the two Auto Somango Glue perked up a little after yesterday's watering 😁 the two in the front, if you look at the pictures Seems the plants are recovering. Nice start to the week 👍 One of the Auto Afghan Skunk seems to still be stretching! It's the one on the right, in the back. It's the only one that hasn't formed pistil clusters yet. She was also the last to show sex, so everything's good! We're expecting another cold wave this week. I'm taking some measures to avoid to big of a temperature drop - let's see what happens. I'll update again by the end of the week. Day 42: End of week 6 and the girls have all stopped stretching meanwhile. The highest one is 42cm tall 😅 They're small but I honestly expected them to stretch even less, with all the deficiencies going on. One of the auto afghan skunk girls (top right corner in the group pic) really got a severe zinc deficiency from overwatering and not properly dealing with that early on. They all had trouble uptaking nutrients and probably nutes built up in the soil, leading to ph in the soil being way to high. I believe I sorted out the ph issue as the deficiency symptoms have slowed down a lot. Curious to see what these girls can still produce, after such a shitty start! It's definitely being a shitty grow overall, but I'm learning a lot from the mistakes I made 👍 Let's wait and see what happens! Thanks for looking! Take care 😊 Deelicious

Hey Growfam! These ladies are finally getting to the point where they'll slowly start to fatten up. More and more trychomes are appearing and the smell is getting much stronger. They've been pretty hungry this past week and are showing signs of nitrogen deficiency all over. Mostly the two Auto Afghan Skunk. They're all drinking much more meanwhile, too. I was releuctant to up the nute dosage too much at once, but I guess they could have used it! Will up the dosage of "Bloom Complex" and "Phosphorus Plus" over the course of week 8. One of the Auto Afghan Skunk girls (upper left corner if you look at the pictures) is way ahead of the other girls and may be ready for flush soon. Her buds aren't very dense, but they're giving off a really nice smell 😀 Fingers crossed she'll be able to get denser as she matures. The other 3 will likely need a total of 10 - 11 weeks. I guess they're taking longer due to all the stress they went through... Let's see! Can't wait to cut them down and start a new, hopefully smoother grow 😅 But they're not performing too badly, all things considered! Thanks for looking! Take care and happy growing! Deelicious

Hey growfam! Last day of week 8 here. The Auto Afghan Skunk 1 already got flushed and will likely be chopped by the end of week 9. She has a wonderfully intense skunky citrus smell 😊 Others are still going and will get some more feeding this week. Hoping to flush them by the end of week 9, but not sure. Let's wait and see! Auto Afghan Skunk 2 has been fattening up nicely, but is barely showing trychomes. Hoping she'll develop more trychomes meanwhile! Auto Somango Glue 1 hasn't fattened up much, but buds are dense and sticky! Sweet intense smell and trychomes are getting close to flush point. Auto Somango Glue 2 is a little behind in terms of trychomes and smell, but she's been fattening up nicely and buds are dense. Hoping she'll develop more trychomes meanwhile! Thanks for looking 😊 Take care and happy growing! Deelicious

What's up growfam! End of week 9 today and things are looking up :) Afghan Skunk 1 has been flushed 10 days ago and will likely get chopped tonight - maybe tomorrow. Trychomes are looking good with mostly cloudy/a few amber and the smell is awesome :) Afghan Skunk 2 and the 2 Somango Glues still got a feeding at the beginning of week 9 but got flushed 3 days ago. Somango Glue 1 is pretty much close to harvest (likely on day 70 or so). The other two have a little longer to go. I flushed them all anyways and have gradually reduced the light hours to 19h, hoping they may mature enough within 2 weeks so they can be chopped close to 11 weeks. Let's wait and see. They definitely fattened up nicely over the past 2 weeks and have slowly been showing some more trychomes. Just need to mature and densen up a little. Fingers crossed they don't take too long! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my girls 😀 Have a great week and happy growing! Deelicious

Hey Growfam! Week 10 is over and there's not much going on since the flush on day 60. They got some more plain water with ph6.3 but not much. Afghan Skunk 1 Harvested on day 63 and is hanging to dry in one piece. Waiting for the other Afghan Skunk to mature before posting the harvest pictures of both. Afghan Skunk 2 This lady really is in no hurry to finish! Trichomes are half clear half cloudy... She faded a lot during the last week and is also getting those reddish/violet hues, like AS1. Somango Glue 1 More than ready for the chop. All trychomes are cloudy with some amber. Will take her down tomorrow or so. Somango Glue 2 Also pretty much ready for harvest, although not as mature as I like. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with just a few turning amber. These 3 remaining girls all have to go down soon. Maybe I'll harvest both Somango Glue tomorrow and leave the other Afghan Skunk standing in the dark for a day or two before taking her down as well. That way I can use the tent for drying whilst giving the other plant a little more time to mature. Probably this won't make much difference lol 😅 But I definitely need the tent to dry - Afghan Skunk 1 has been stinking up my place proper!! Thanks for looking! Happy growing! Deelicious

I've already smoked a little and they're actually not bad :) AS1 has a very intense smell/taste of extra ripe oranges, love it! AS2 has the same smell/taste profile but much softer. They need some time to cure. I will update the smoke review in a couple of weeks or so 👍

Both chopped and dry now. They weren't ready at the same time and were actually harvested with almost 2 weeks difference; AS1 on day 63 and AS2 on day 74. Due to the initial stress factors from this grow I feel like they didn't reach their full potential, especially the one I harvested later. She could have used 1 or 2 more weeks to fully mature, but it just wasn't worth it to me. I needed the tent to dry and avoid stinking up my place.

I smoked a little of both already and while they both have the same smell/taste profile, the SG1 is definitely a winner. She's the densest, has most falvour and the high is stronger than on SG2. Very intense pine x mango flavour and leaves a creamy aftertaste - Deelciouuuusss 😊 They still have some curing to do and I will update in a couple of weeks or so.

Both chopped on day 72 and dried within 14 days. They were both really sticky and have dense flowers, especially SG1 😊
