Plan was to try if 3-4 year old seeds become germinated. I put 2 Seeds in wet paper towels at 23rd October. 1 seed has germinated after 2 weeks. This was 3 days ago at 9th November. That one germinated seed i put it in a Jiffy Tab.
The 2nd seed i put him in a Jiffy Tab too, but till today he didn't come out.
update 15-Nov
moved the seedling with jiffy into the pot with soil.
update 17-Nov
plant looks good in soil. 1st pair of grow-leaves already visible, so Grow-status has changed from germination to vegetation.
27-November
All looks ok. Seems that they are a little bit slow with their grow.
2nd stage of leaves are fully formed (3 Fingers)
3rd stage of the grow leaves already good visible (the leaves with 5 Fingers)
29-November, update:
Watering is not necessary so far. The bottom of the pot is still damp - checked with an wooden stick (see photos)
This is a good way, to check if the bottom of the pot is still moist and the roots are able to find any water, it's good for roots-growing
1-Dec - update
Watered yesterday. Today the tips are hanging down a bit. Too much water! I'll hold back a bit on watering. Otherwise everything ok.
4-Dec
Pre-bloom has begun! (Photos). Watered well again today, with 0.75 l and 1 ml root juice.
Everything looks good. Did my first LST training today and tied the plant down a bit. I'll re-tie it tomorrow or the day after.
5-Dec
Today I did again little bit LST with the little branches.
8-Dec
watered well today with 1 lt water and 1 ml Root Juice and 1 ml Grow fertilizer. Watered till a small drain came out from the bottom of the pot
Bloom will start soon. 😀
11-Dec
Watered today with 2ml Root, 1ml Grow, 1ml Bloom and 1ml Top Max.
Watering quantity: 1 liter of water.
Everything looks good. Bloom has begun! Light switched on to stage 3 for flowering. Status is now changed to bloom.😀
There are no yellow or light green leaves yet. Maybe it was a good thing that everything was deep green.
Did again a little bit LST Training today. But now i will do a break with LST for the next 2 weeks. Than the last LST. Don't want to stress too much the plant.
15-Dec - update
We are in bloom and the plant needs double amount of water. She needs 1lt/24 hrs now.
As the leaves around the buds become a light green, i gave more nutrients now and will give the Biobizz- schema from now.
Light and heat stress - which could the the same symptoms, i exlude this, because also the lower buds with only little light have also the same symptoms. The LED-panel is more than 40cm away from the top of the plant, and at the top of the plant i have approx. 22-24 C degrees.
So i watered well today with 1 lt water incl. 2ml Grow, 1ml Bloom and 1 ml TopMax - fertilizers.
17-Dec - update
some leaves are hanging down. Think it can be underwatering, because the pot was completely dried, before i watered. After i gave enough water with nutrients, some hours after that, the leaves got more hang down. Then i spotted also a few leaves with claws. Seems that it is a sign for nitrogen-toxicity? I will degrease the grow-fertilizer with next watering. Biobizz-Scheme says 3 ml BioGrow in 2nd week of bloom. So could be, that my soil has already stored enough nitrogen. Therefore I will increase the Bloom-fertilizer to 2-3ml with next watering.
Plant has a few symtoms of nitrogen-toxicity. Over- or underwatering is not possible, because the leaves were hanging, than i gave water with nutrients, and after a few hours the leaves were hanging much more than before. As i gave 3ml Grow-fertilizer into 1 lt water (as recommended in the Biobizz-Scheme for bloom-week 2), it seems that the plant receives too much nitrogen. I always had deep green leaves from the beginning, so the nitrogen was always a little bit too much. Could be because i gave Root Juice too.
However - as the plant is full.in bloom, i will give more bloom and less grow - fertilizers.
The plant needs water now all 36 - 48 hours. The amount of water in this period is approx. 0.75 to 1 lt.
Around the buds the new leaves are light green and tend to yellowing, but i am not very scary, because in overall the plant looks good for me. I hope the yellowing will disappear, if i will increase the amount of bloom-fertilizer.
19-Dec - Update
Poured today. Everything looks good. Drooping leaves are frowned upon. The light green around the buds is also a little less. Some defoliation (photo) done. Small popcorn buds and small lower leaves snapped off in the shade. Dried leaves removed from the very bottom.
21-Dec - update
Happy Winter Solstice!😀
🌞☀️✨🌟🌎
Poured again today. Plant needs 1,5 lt every 48 hrs.
Added Bloom-Fertilizers only. No Grow-Fertilizer, because the plant looks like, that nitrogen is enough (deep green leaves, some claws).
The plant has always hanging leaves after watering, this disappears after 1 day. Don't know why the leaves are hanging after she gets water. Cannot be overwatering, because i always wait, till the pot gets a very light weight, before i give water again.
No matter, after 1 day the hanging leaves disappear, and the plant looks good and the buds are growing well. 👍😀
26-Dec - Merry Christmas! 😀🌟🎋🎄
Watered today as pot had already very light weight. But Plant hasn't let anything down yet, she should be in good shape. There are some yellow and burned leaves at the bottom (see photos), which again indicates a nitrogen deficiency, on the other hand this could be an overdose too, because of the burned leaves. 1ml of grow fertilizer was added again today - It wasn't actually planned. Plant doesn't look so bad.
Stretch should already have been completed. The first trichomes are visible😀 (see photos).
Today was the last LST and defoliation planned. LST is no longer necessary. I don't do any more defoliation either, because I fear an nutrient deficiency in case of an emergency with any defencies. There's not much else left on it, just 2-3 popcorn buds, I'll leave them alone. Don't want to stress the plant too much
Update -Analyses:
Analyses: Leaves on the Photos could be Phosphorum-Deficiency (green stems, yellowing, burning):
https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/phosphorus-deficiency
Main-statement at Growweedeasy:
A phosphorus deficiency tends to be more common after plants start making buds in the flowering stage. Cannabis plants tend to love phosphorus in the flowering/budding stage and it is unlikely for a cannabis plant to get too much phosphorus using standard nutrients formulated for a flowering plant like cannabis. Nearly all flowering nutrients will come with an abundance of phosphorus for your plants. So if you’re seeing a cannabis phosphorus deficiency while using standard cannabis nutrients, chances are you actually have a root pH problem.
29-Dec - update
I have the feeling that yesterday's flush did the plant some good. Some leaves are still turning slightly yellow, but that doesn't worry me too much. Overall it looks good and the buds are developing well. Trichomes are already being produced in abundance.
I'm optimistic that it will be a good grow. I will now fertilize strictly according to the schedule. I will also add CalMag once a week. I think that the yellow leaves all have a deficiency - since I only fertilized very sparingly, I rule out over-fertilization.
2-January 2024 - 😀Happy New Year!😀
Watered with 2 lt and fertilizer according to the scheme. Yellow and burnt leaves removed (below). LST was partially readjusted, but I was able to remove most of the binding wires. All in all the buds are developing well. I'm very confident, but you shouldn't praise the day before the evening😉
The bottom-leaves are yellowing and partially burned. For me it looks like an Nitrogen-deficiency. The first nutrients I added were in vegetation-week 3, and then i gave the half amount only of the recommended scheme. So i cannot imagine, that i have an overdose. Otherwise the leaves at tge top are showing signs of nutrient-overdose (little bit yellowing, burned edges and partially clawing leaves). But this can also be light-stress. So i now increased the distance of the light from 40cm to 50cm.
5-Jan - update
Poured today 2 liters of water with the following nutrients:
2 ml CalMag
3 ml Grow
3 ml Bloom
1 ml Top Max
A few brown leaves cut off at the bottom. Some leaves below are yellow and partially burned. But as long as there is still some green to be seen in the leaves, I leave them on - the plant can draw on the missing nutrients. Otherwise everything looks good, the buds are developing well.
6-Jan - update
Checked the trychomes today. Most of the are already milky (approx. 90 %). I also spotted a few amber trychomes. Think harvest will be in 3-4 weeks - as this was also the plan. All looks fine 😀👍
8-January
After signs of fertilizer overdose became visible on the upper leaves, I flushed the plant today with pure water and pH 6.5. Finally watered with a light fertilizer solution:
1ml grow
1ml Bloom
0.5ml Top Max.
Some yellow leaves removed from below.
The problem with the overdose signs may have arisen because I previously used fertilizer too sparingly, then deficit signs arose, then I fertilized with the full dose according to the schedule. But autoflowers only need half the amount of fertilizer according to the schedule, i have forgotten that.
Hope the flush helps a bit. Drain ph was 6.5, Ec 0.8. But I'm not too worried, because the plant generally looks good and the buds are developing well. I plan to harvest at the beginning of February.
Trichomes check: 80-90% already milky. Individual brown trichomes already spotted.
The buds look good and the smell is also very good 😀 I am very confident that the result will be very good.
15-Jan
Many leaves are already yellow. Leafs at the buds have burnt tips and also turn yellow. I always do something wrong because I have the same problems with every grow. I rule out light stress. Ph fits too. So it must be over-fertilization. I use only 30% of the schedule scheme.
19-Jan - update
Leafs are getting more and more yellow now, but the buds are fatening. Plant is viewing into her harvest and end.
I have stopped giving any nutrients now and i will pour with clear and ph water only from now.
Think i will start end of next week with a first flush. Want to flush the plant 2 or 3 times. Harvesting is planned with beginning of february.
23-Jan
Poured 1 liter of water with pH 6.5 today. There is no more fertilizer. Burnt and completely yellow leaves removed. Buds look good. Amber trichomes haven't become much more. But most of it is milky.
Plan for harvest at the beginning of February remains. End of this week i will start with the first flush.
26-Jan -update
Made first Flush today with 2 x 5 lt ph-ed water
Measurements:
1st Lap with 5 lt water:
Water ph 6.7
Drain ph 6.75, EC 0,4
2nd Lap with 5 lt water:
Water 6,7 ph
Drain 6,8 ph, EC 0,2
Will flush again in 3 days or so. Trichomes are 90 % milky, Pistils nearly all brown.
Removed some yellow and crispy leafs and tips. Harvest is planned in 1 week.
Changed the daylight from 18 to 16 hours. So i have a cycle of 16/8 from now. Autoflowers usually don't need this, but i think, it's no mistake, to simulate for the plant, that fall is coming 😉.
Will try a Testbud today😀
28-Jan - update
Tested a popcorn bud from the lower branches yesterday evening. Checked under the microscope - approx. 90-95% of the trichomes were milky, and a few amber trichomes i have spotted.
I vaped the bud with my vaporizer. I am very satisfied with the effect.
i could feel a very slight psycho-active effect! As the strain has approx. 1% THC, i can feel it. But i hafe a very low tolerance. Tge hight wad very slight, subtile and was very pleasant. The psycho-active effect faded out after approx. 1 hour. I was very relaxed and had a very good sleep after i did this test👍
29-Jan
Pot is still heavy, I won't flush it until tomorrow. Plant almost no longer need water and is dying. Almost all leaves yellow and wilted. Trichomes looking good, almost milky, some already amber.
I have reduced the daylight from 18 to 16 hrs. In my opinion, the plant maybe will feel the sign that fall is coming soon and maybe she tries to produce a little bit more.
I'll do a proper flush tomorrow, it will probably be the last flush.
Last week has begun!
30-Jan - update
Did 2nd flush today with 2x5lt water. This was the last flush, the plant is completely ready for harvest.
Trichome check: there are now more and more amber trichomes, this is happening quickly. Estimate around 15-20% amber trichomes on main bud and top buds. The lower ones only have a few brown trichomes, but everything is mostly milky (90%).
Maybe I'll cut it off 1-2 days earlier as planned, we'll see. Think i will switch the light off in 2 days and then cut it off on Friday.
1st Flush with 5 lt water:
Water: pH 6.5
Drain pH 6.75, EC 0.2
2nd Flush with 5 lt
Water pH 6.7
Drain ph 6.9, EC below 0.2
Calculation and forecast for the yield: The plant and the size of the buds is ok, could be a little bit larger, but i had any problems during the grow. So i'm calculating with approx. 40-45 g dry buds. This means it will be approx. 200-220 g wet buds.
If this will be the outcome, i will be very satisfied with the yield of this grow😀👍 Let's see, how much i will get.
2-Feb - update
Cut off the plant today, and hung up the buds for drying. More details next week than.
10-Feb
Cut off the plant at Feb-2nd - 1 week ago.
Wet weight with branches was 279 g.
After an wet trim I dried the buds for 7 days in approx. 53 % humidity and 14-15 degrees Celsius. This was the climate in my box, where the buds was hanging for drying.
Yesterday - 9th-Feb, I clipped the buds from the branches. They are already nice and crispy on the outside and hopefully still moist enough on the inside for an successfull curing-process. Buds are nice and firm, but there are also some fluffy ones.
Weight without branches and dry:
64.55g 👍
After curing it will be a little less and I estimate 62g left! That's more than I have expected - I expected an maximum of 50 g! 👍😀😀😀 I made 4 jars full 😀😀😀
Herewith i'm ending this diary.
I will update, if something new will happen, but for the first time i say Good Bye and I say "Many Thanks" to the community at Growdiaries for your help, for all comments and for your thumb-ups and Likes! Thank YOU! 🙏🤞👍❤️😀🤗
Last update - 3-May-2024
Curing process stopped today, i packed in all in mylar-bags - 10 g each - and this is my storage. With 68 g yield with CBD-FIX - i am very satisfied, it was a grow under strange circumstances (TI!) and i did not await this amount. 😀 I'm happy and with 68 g Cbd-Fix from Zamnesia I have enough material against my pains for the next years😀👍 Thanks very much for following, likes, and for reading my diary! 👍 See/Read You !😉
