This week the plants made a great recovery from being stunted from their first transplant. I started to notice when they snapped back they began consuming a lot of water, I assume they are fully establishing themselves and beginning the true vegetative state.
Edit: This water consumption persisted and seemed to really upset my plant when the soil would dry out between watering, I noticed this alongside some purpling stems beginning to develop I treated with Crab Meal by down to earth at 1/3 dose (1 1/2 Teaspoons) which seemed to help for the moment and bought me another week of time between transplants! I'll definitely be starting in the 1/3 gallon containers instead of the cell tray next time!
@THCpapa, both of these smell just fantastic! Key differences but that same raspberry smack. I didn't even realize what raspberry terps would really smell like until I smelled this. It's so undeniably raspberry. Not strawberry, not grape, not runtz. Raspberry. It's very unique!
Good luck with your grow! I popped 3 of 6 Ice Pie x Raspberry Boogie and all 3 hermaphrodited. Apparently its known to happen with Tiki Madman......keep an eye out
@Happy_Roots, thank you for commenting! I will definitely be keeping an eye out! I had figured with Raspberry Boogie being a Mosca Staple and how long he has worked with it, the crosses would be really stable. That wouldn't be ideal at all ๐ฌ
Looking good early flowering, I personally like pheno 1 visually. But hope they are both great results after harvest! Hope you continue with more blessings!!
@BigDripFelgo, the #1 Pheno definitely looks more like the pictures you see online of raspberry boogie, or anything in this colab! I'm loving it just for the bag appeal! Purple to the core! Thanks for checking out my grow!
@THCpapa, it was crazy to see so much diversity in these 2 phenos! A lot of the phenos I've seen online that look like winners, of these Raspberry Boogie colabs with Tiki Madman have shown that same "purple half leaf" feature. So my fingers are definitely crossed!
Thank you! I plan on flipping as soon as my flower room is free and they adjust to the environment in there! I'll clean in there really good! Then they'll get adjusted, get into their 5 gallon pots and under my flower light! Should be about 3-4 weeks!
@gottagrowsometime, thank you so much! I can't take credit for the Sourheads, a great friend of mine actually hunted that cut and was nice enough to let me run some clones to test my new set up!
@Grower_Of_Persia, it ended up curing out really nice! I do feel like I harvested just about a week early. I used a jewelers loupe to scope my trichomes out last time. Since then my buddy got this 45X microscope with a screen. I definitely noticed more clear trichomes than I could make out originally with that. So I'm thinking I'll do this next run with the Ripples a little longer! As for flavor. The purple number one pheno is so unique it's like gassy, old school purple where it's like earthy fruit. It's so hard to describe. It's definitely its own flavor, it's not runtzy or hazy or anything super familiar. The number 2 is kind of mimosa, hazy, smells kind of like fruit peels honestly!
@BigDripFelgo, I didn't dedicate a diary to the Sourheads! I got them from clones, the original genetics are called Nughead from mean gene I think! Edit: Nugheads is by skunktek not meangene
