Germination

I soaked the seeds for 24 hours in a shot glass of 80% Distilled water and 20% Hydrogen Peroxide. I then used the AC Infinity Germination Kit and Build A Soil Lite. The seeds germinated after 2 days. Next time i think I will start directly in 1/4 gallon seedling pots instead of the tray that comes with the Germination Kit, as it was a little small. It's more meant for clones in root riots.

This week I transplanted the plants and took them out of my AC Infinity Germination Kit and Put them under my 100w Viparspectra to veg under. During transplant I used Mykos by Xtreme Gardening to promote root health and growth, its a beneficial bacteria! I then watered with the transplant shock formula of Fish Sh!t by Fish Head Farms 6 ml/ gallon of water. After this I used an Organic Wettable Sulfur by IMustGarden as an IPM treatment, my main teacher has used Wettable Sulfur as IPM for a very long time (following the build a soil foliar spray instructions) and suggested it to me for prevention of gnats, aphids, and powdery mildew. Its a little hard on the plants as you must use it when the lights are off. I would also be sure to mix it well in the spray bottle it likes to sink to the bottom! I've heard Microbe Lift Mosquito control and Mammoth's brand of IPM treatment also works great and can be added to the water instead of foliar sprayed. EM-5 would be a lighter Foiliar spray!

This week the plants made a great recovery from being stunted from their first transplant. I started to notice when they snapped back they began consuming a lot of water, I assume they are fully establishing themselves and beginning the true vegetative state. Edit: This water consumption persisted and seemed to really upset my plant when the soil would dry out between watering, I noticed this alongside some purpling stems beginning to develop I treated with Crab Meal by down to earth at 1/3 dose (1 1/2 Teaspoons) which seemed to help for the moment and bought me another week of time between transplants! I'll definitely be starting in the 1/3 gallon containers instead of the cell tray next time!

Last week I transplanted from seedling pots to 1 gallons! I used the same Mykos and Fish Sh!t method from the last transplant. I was noticing the water consumption on these ladies was through the roof in their old containers (drying out every day)! That definitely improved after transplant! Thinking I may be having a bit of a Cal/Mag deficiency. I plan to treat this! Defoliated the 2 bottom sets of leaves as they weren't getting good light anymore and were always sagging!

I ended up treating my plants with 2 teaspoons of the 4-4-4 Vegetable Garden by Down To Earth, and 1/2 teaspoon of BuildASoil Garden Gypsum, this greatly seemed to improve my plants leaf pose! They are upright, and green! After this I also went in and performed a Topping on the newest forming growth of the plant, I chose to do this mostly to encourage outward growth of the new node sites. The #2 pheno has stayed pretty bushy so far sitting at 14 nodes at 12 inches tall, however the nodes weren't growing very quickly. The #1 Pheno was more stretched sitting at about 15 inches tall with 10 nodes. Next watering I plan to water using Fish Sh!t by Fishhead farms at 3ml/ Gallon of Water, and I'm going to be trying a new product I've been researching the Mykos WP by Xtreme Gardening, I plan on using it as a substitute to Rootwise in the BuildASoil feeding schedule. I've used original Mykos during transplants in the past with amazing results! Edit: Watered with Mykos WP, Fish Sh!t and added 1/4 teaspoon of Grandma's Unsulphured Molasses for the food web. The plants responded awesome! Lifting the leaves even higher!

This week I set up a new Nursery tent. Im using a 24in×24in×36in Mars Hydro, with 2 Viparspectra 100w LED boards, I'm running them both at around 50% power. I got another light so now both the plants have an even light coverage for Veg. I dropped one of the lights setting up the tent on accident, which took a node and a couple leaves off of the #1 pheno! Definitely a major mistake! But I think the plant will snap back. Update: Both of these ladies were getting a little droopy, so I made up the recipe I've been using to perk my plants. 1/4 Teaspoon/ Gallon of BioAg TM-7 (Top Dressed in Soil) 1/4 Teaspoon/ Gallon of Diamond K Gypsum (Top Dressed in Soil) 3/4 Teaspoon/1/2 Gallon of Xtreme Gardening Mykos WP (Mixed with Water) Fish Sh!t 3ml/ 1/2 Gallon (Mixed with Water) Grandma's Unsulphured Molasses 1/4 Teaspoon/ 1/2 gallon (Mixed with Water) This helped a ton and returned the leaves upright! The Fish Sh!t and Mykos are beneficial bacterias which help the plant uptake nutrients, the Fish Sh!t and TM-7 are soil conditioners which also help with nutrient uptake and soil water retention. The Gypsum is for Calcium, TM-7 pairs with this with humic acids and other micronutrients like boron and sulfur. The Molasses feeds the Michorizae! When I cut clones off of these cultivars, I will for sure be amending extra Gypsum and DTE 4-4-4 Vegetable Garden or 4-3-0 Crab Meal into the Build A Soil Lite. These ladies really need the extra food!

This week I'm really starting to prefer how my Number 2 pheno is growing! It stays shorter and it's branch growth has been looking awesome! Number 2 is now Sitting at 16 inches tall with 18 branches! Number 1 has continued to stretch and is now nearly touching its light, sitting at 22 inches tall with 13 branches! I did give the same mix from last week, interchanging the Diamond K Gypsum for a 1/4 dose of 4-4-4 Vegetable Garden from down to earth, the lower growth started to yellow slightly and it's last feeding was 3 weeks ago. So I thought it could use a little nitrogen, vegetable garden has 6% calcium from Basalt and Alfalfa and Kelp, which very light nutrients that are soft on your plant. I still try not to over do feedings. It took well to it! I plan to get a taller tent here in the next week or two, to get more light distance so I can turn the lights up! Right now I keep the 100w on about 30% power because they are so close.

This week, I decided my plants were too tall for the tent I had them in (Mars Hyro 24x18x36) so I upgraded to a Mars Hydro 24x24x55 to increase light distance from the plants! I hope this will increase their growth rate and decrease any stress they were under! These plants should be ready to take clones from and send into flower very soon (in about 4 weeks most likely, my current run in my flower room of Sour Heads is on week 5 of flower. So when they come down to dry I'll have the flower room free for these ladies) I'll let them recover from their stress, to the best of my abilities. A bit of a long veg time and a definite hiccup when I dropped that light on #1 but I'm a beginner, so I'm happy with the progress I've made and what I've learned about these cultivars so far! Update: Gave the plants the recipe they seem to dig again. I noticed tons of new growth today! They act like they can't get enough calcium from that gypsum!

This week was a pretty boring week, some lateral growth worth noting but that's about it! Ive started to slowly defoliate some damaged leaves. I really enjoy how thick the stalks are becoming! They both reacted well to being topped, I think the #2 pheno actually formed 4 top sites, instead of 2! I'm seeing some bonus branches coming off the second to most recent set of branches! The Sourheads in my flower room is almost to week 6 of flower and it's starting it's fading process!

This week I am still working on my slow defoliation, to get some light intake to some of the node sites, while putting the plant under as little stress as possible. I've still been using the molasses, Mykos WP and Fish Sh!t mix every other watering. I also top dressed another 1/4 teaspoon of BioAg TM-7, which once again seemed to help both plants keep their leaves held up longer between waterings. I assume the TM-7 is improving the water retention of the Build A Soil Lite I'm using. I still have the Viparspectra 100w boards, set to about 30% power kept about 14 inches away, this seems to be a good spot for the plants. I'll probably be taking the bottom branches off and cloning them this week, so I can back up these genetics. Update: I went ahead and cloned these ladies to back them up, they are my first plants from seed, so I wanna keep the genetics if I like the flower! I used clone-x, root riot cubes, my AC infinity Germination Kit with 80w led bar on setting 2. I sprayed the clones and inside of the kit with distilled water. Hoping I get some clones rooted soon!

This Week the plants stalks stretched about an inch on both plants! I have still been slowly defoliating leaves and I've also been bending the tallest branch on the number 1 pheno back a little each day gently. This encourages the plant to grow outwardly and allows some of the lower nodes to catch up with the rest of the canopy. Some of the fan leaves were beginning to show some yellowing, I gave them another half dose of 4-4-4 and 1/4 Teaspoon of Diamond K Garden Gypsum. I watered in with Mykos and Fish Sh!t. This seemed to help a lot! I feel like these plants are starting to get a little root bound in their 1 gallon pots. I bought a Vivosun Oscillating fan and installed for my veg tent, now that they are getting a little taller their floor fan from target was no longer doing the full job! My clones I took last week, have not sagged their leaves much and I believe they will most likely root! Ive just been spraying them with distilled water and making sure the root riot cubes stay damp. Lights in the seedling kit are set on 1 and I introduced a small AC infinity seedling fan on one side of the dome and opened the two vents on both sides of the dome. My SourHeads plants in the flower room are now on Day 54 and are coloring out nicely! I also got some new seeds today Whiteberry (Feminized Photo) from Paradise seeds. This will most likely be my next run! Update 01/01/2024- Had 3 of my clones poke roots out of their cubes and i think the other clones have rooted as well! Went ahead and transplanted the 3 clones to nursery pots with Mykos and put them under 1 of my Viparspectra 100w. So now I'm only using one light in the taller veg tent!

Clones: This week I got majority of my clones to establish roots and moved them into new pots. Only 2/4 of the #1 Pheno clones haven't fully rooted out of their cubes yet. All 5 of the #2 phenos clones have rooted. Transplanted into the Vivosun Nursery Pots with Build A Soil Lite, Mykos, and Distilled Water. #1 and #2 (Older Plants): Im beginning to notice this magnesium deficiency, in my larger plants and really want to get them transplanted this week or next week. I suspect the plants being a little root bound in the small pots have caused this. I also plan on checking my soil PH in the one gallon pots I've been in, the soil ph being too low could have also been the cause of the deficiency, my other plants seem fine though, so I don't think it's too badly off! The #1 Pheno now sits 27 inches tall, the #2 at 22. SourHeads #12: The Sourheads in the flower room is on day 62 and is looking really colorful, I'll be pushing it into day 70-73 and harvesting! I haven't been doing any feeding in these last 4 weeks of flower and have been slightly dialing back the water.

This week, we had a bit of an artic blast come through my area! It's been cold and kind of hard to keep humidity right where I want to be! All plants seem to be doing fine though! Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Larger Plants)- The larger plants are still combating the magnesium deficiency they developed. I introduced some Epsom salts to their water, this seemed to help a lot, I also gave some worm castings mixed with a little gypsum, which also helped the plants. The yellow fading has went away a little! I'm still defoliating slowly. I still plan to transplant within the next week or two. The SourHeads is almost finished! Raspberry Ripple (Clones)- All the clones have now rooted, at 100% success rate! I really enjoy the AC Infinity Germination Kit I've been using! It's very simple to use! I was also extremely impressed by the #2 Pheno once again! All of its clones rooted within 4 days! The #1s were slower to root, but when they start they quickly begin to grow! Happy with how these strains clone! SourHeads (Flower)- The SourHeads is smelling very sour and has those back tones strains like Ether have, that sour gassy profile, that's really good for an all day smoke. It's pushing into day 70 today. It will be harvested on day 75! Super happy with my equipment in the flower room and the colors I was able to pull off!

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Older Plants)- This week I transplanted the 2 older phenos into 5 gallon plastic pots, in order to give them some more space to stretch into before they go in the flower room, under the AC Infinity S44 Ionboard, in about a week! The plants took well to the transplant once again and the deficiencies they were experiencing, look to be improving from the new soil! Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- the clones are still doing well for the most part, I have 2 that are struggling! I'm not exactly sure why! But 7/9 are growing fine! SourHeads- The SourHeads was harvested January, 18th, 2024. They have been hanging whole plant drying since then. Still no stem snapping in the smaller branches even! I have really good dry conditions down there right now (really close to 60°/60%). I'm hoping for a full long term dry to preserve my terpenes! Wishing I would have gotten more biomass in veg, just to really fill out the canopy! But I'm pretty happy with how this run turned out other than that. Super sour nose, I'm happy with the decently dense bud structure and the full vibrant colors.

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Older Plants)- This week I relocated the Raspberry Ripples to the larger flower room, they were getting really crowded in their old Mars Hydro 55 inch tall tent (2x2). They seem to be doing better in the flower room. I never miss an opportunity, to attempt to deep clean my spaces in between grows (tents, fans, lights, trays, the whole area really). Just some bleach sprays, sponges, scrub brushes, shop-vac and mops serves the purpose! I have my S44 Ionboard, set to brightness setting 2, which is drawing around 80w of power, hung about 18 inches away from the canopy. I installed a trellis today to help with canopy management! Of course, during that process, I foolishly split the stalk of the Raspberry Ripple Pheno 1, trying to train its main branches under the trellis 🙄. Thankfully I barely split it, the split is maybe 2 inches long, and it'll recover! I'm currently just working on maintaining environment, and am sitting in the low 70°F's and 53-60% RH. I'm also gonna be doing some more defoliating, after the plants have fully adapted to the new environment. Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- The Clones all returned to a healthy state and have began growing new growth a little faster! I gave 2 of them (one of each Pheno), to a growbro to run in his garden! SourHeads- The SourHeads was harvested January, 18th, 2024. On the 26th I had the smaller stems begin to snap, so I took them down from drying, for a 8 day dry. Then trimmed them! I was happy, to be able to maintain nearly 60°/55% the first 2 days and 60°/60% the rest of dry! I was rewarded for this, when I put my buds in their jars, the humidity levels were well within the 55-65 range, most sitting at 62! I trimmed the old school way with Latex Gloves 🧤, Trimming Scissors ✂️, Wide Mouth Mason Jars

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Older Plants)- This week, I'm excited to report these plants are adjusting really well to the new room. They have began growing at a much faster pace, a lot of their color is returning and they are filling out this trellis way better! I'm going to give them one more week in Veg, just to get a couple potential branches to trellis height! I also used some Bulletproof SI from Cutting Edge solutions, I've been really interested in the benefits of adding Silica to my garden for a few weeks. Mainly the stronger cellular walls and assisting in nutrient uptake! I'm not sure if Bulletproof SI is organic! Ive just seen 420 Scene talking about it in a lot of videos and decided to give it a try! The ladies were praying today after it! Tech Update- This week my Yinnick PH Pen finally crapped out and wouldn't calibrate in range (it was a decent ph pen for 36 dollars.) So I invested in an Apera PH Pen and it is much nicer! (75 dollars USD, on sale right now on Amazon, normally 100) I'm thankful to be able to be more confident adjusting my ph because I know I was off! Raspberry Ripple Clones- My clones are also doing great and my grow-bro who took two of the clones is also reporting that his are doing well! We went to the local grow shop, a few days ago and the owner gifted me some Trinity from Roots organic, I'd heard about how beneficial the enzymes from kelps are. So I gave that a baby dosed run on the clones, following roots organics directions. They responded well! They're getting taller and forming their first branches, one particular number one clone is stretching a little more than the others! I'm not sure what that's about! SourHeads- The SourHeads Flowers are fully trimmed and have been curing for almost 2 weeks! They're definitely starting to give off some sour aromas, that get stronger every day!

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Older Plants)- It's Finally time, after a long wait we've finally flipped to flower (thank you for your patience!) After taking on that magnesium deficiency and allowing the plants to adapt to their new pots, and new environment. They have came back swinging! I defoliated a lot of lower growth, trying to really push that potential to the top sites! On my SourHeads grow I was a little scared to really get in there defoliating and got more larf than I thought I would. I used Silica the second to last watering and I used some of my Trinity kelp and alfalfa mix. I also used some organic wettable sulfur from IMustGarden at 1 Tsp/ Gallon of water in a foiliar spray for IPM. I'm currently running the light at max height, on setting 3/6, pulling 200w from the outlet. I'll be going up next week to 4, then pushing to the full 400w during the flower bulking stages! They have been really filling out this trellis and it's awesome, how I was able to use the trellis to my advantage and sort of even out my canopy. Sort of a mini scrog. Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- The clones are beginning to develop branches! It felt awesome to not get as long of a stretch on these clones. Starting in a slightly bigger pot, under the Viparspectra 100w vs the AC Infinity Germination light strip in the cell tray, has given these ladies the resources they need to create biomass faster! The #1 Phenos are showing more of a tendency to stretch than the #2s for sure! SourHeads (Flowers)- The SourHeads now seems to be in its final week or two of cure. Way more of a concentrated sour aroma, the greenish smell is beginning to fade. Hygrometers locking out from 60%-62%.

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Flowering Plants) - The Raspberry Ripples have finished their first week of flower and are now running the AC Infinity S44 Ionboard at setting 4/6 (around 300-320 watts) from the ceiling. The plants have been growing steady, while the canopy has stayed mostly even, I haven't been observing any massive stretching, just branching out. I gave the first feeding of 1/4 cup top dress of Build A Flower from the Build A Soil Schedule. I also topdressed TM-7 (in place of the big 6 micros) I then watered the top dress in with Trinity from Roots Organics (in place of the wetting agents from Jay Plantspeaker; Yucca and Quillaja Saponins) and Mykos WP (to cover the Microbes from RootWise). I always enjoy making this mix up, it's simple and really covers a lot of bases. The plants were praying and ready to get week 2 started! Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- The clones were growing at a steady rate and outgrowing the Vivosun seedlings pots, which worked awesome! They were large enough to get the plants to a decent size before transplanting, and were very easy to free the rootball from. The drainage seemed to be going good as well! The soil was pretty evenly moist throughout. The roots looked ready to transplant (especially the number one Phenos!) I went ahead and prepped some 1 gallon pots with a 50/50 mix of Build A Soil Lite and 3.0 Potting Soil. Let those pots chill under a the light in the room for about 6 hours and transplanted. I used my same mix of Mykos, Mykos WP Fish Sh!t and Trinity by Roots. This mix once again seemed to prevent any transplant shock and got the clones rolling just like the mother plants. I moved 6/7 clones out of the 30 inch tall 2x2 nursery tent, into the 55 inch tall 2×2 tent from Mars Hydro, running the ViparSpectra V1000 at 40% power (40w) I had to leave one clone behind in the 30 inch tent, as it wouldn't fit in the 55 inch tent. I attempted to LST my tallest clone which seems to be working! I'll be topping the #1s this week after they recover, then the #2s shortly after. SourHeads (Harvested Flower)- The Sourheads is almost cured fully but is very sour now! Happy with that grow 6/10! Not the best flower I've ever smoked but totally smokeable, with a nice buzz! Thank you to everyone for checking in on my grow! Happy growing 🤙

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Flowering Plants)- This week both Raspberry Ripple phenos in the flower room, began to build their nugs! I was very impressed at how quickly they both began to form nugs, I noticed the flowering begining on day 11! The number 2 Pheno is looking average and she didn't fill out the trellis net quite as good her sister strain, however she seems to be going strong! The number 1 Pheno is really impressing me, it really filled out it's canopy and sports branches and a stalk nearly twice as thick as the number 2. It has also already began to form purple flower. Any pictures of the flowers that I've seen from this Mosca (x) Tiki Madman colab online, have been rich, purple phenotypes with chunky nugs; so I welcome the purple flowers. I suppose the increased anthocyanin production in the number 1 Pheno could be stress related, from the stalk split or the other accident it had in the veg tent, that knocked a branch off. However this plant seems very happy praying every day since the flip! So it doesn't worry me as much as it could! I went ahead and gave a little more top dress Build a Flower to get them through the stacking/ bulking phase. I prefer a "less is more" approach in the smaller pots im currently using so I amend less quantity but more frequently throughout flower. Ive got the lights up to 80% power (320 Watts) Stay tuned, I have a feeling these nugs are about to 🚀 Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- The Number One Pheno's clones have all been topped. The Number 2's will probably be topped next week; when they are about 10-12 inches tall. I've been getting good branch growth on the number 1s since topping. I've still been alternating Silica by Cutting Edge Solutions and Microbe feed (Fish Sh!t and Trinity from Roots Organic) every other watering. My grow-bro who took a clone from one of each phenotype, has been reporting the ripples are going crazy in his full cycle mushroom naturally soil as well.

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Flowering Plants)- This week, I believe the stretch pre-flower phase is over for both of these Phenos! They are now begining to really stack on those nugs. Number 1 has been on its same purple kick and appears to be purple to it's core! Both Phenos are showing long pistils hairs and have already began to build some trichome shelves! #1 still prays very hard daily, while #2 holds its leaves upright but not over a flat plane ever. I gave another 1/4 cup of build a flower to each plant, and a 1/4 tsp of TM-7 today. Today I went through and defoliated some stray leaves and really underdeveloped branches. The smells while I was doing this, were fantastic; like a smarties or sweet tart candy, but not runtzy it's very hard to describe. Definitely excited for the upcoming weeks! I'll be pushing the lights to 100% this week, pulling 400w from the wall for the stacking/bulking weeks! Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- This week the #2 clones were topped, so now all the clones in the tent have been topped once. The branch growth has improved and they took it well! The weather is getting warmer, so keeping the tent well ventilated is key. I did notice a few springtails walking along the edge of one of my pots today, so I plan to treat this with Wettable Sulfur tonight. I have read these are not the worst pest to have by any means, but you definitely want to keep the population under control at the least! I went ahead and put one of the #1 clones back in the mini tent to make some space in the 55 inch. It was starting to get a little crowded. I'm hoping these clones don't have any genetic drift and I can preserve these genetics for runs to come! Catch you Next Week, Happy growing and thanks for checking on my grow -StarFish

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Flowering Plants)- This week really threw me a curveball! I had a major equipment failure. On Wednesday (day 24 of flower) I went to check on the flower room about 3 hours after my lights should have turned on and noticed my S44 Ionboard was not powered on. I quickly began to asses the situation and determined that my actual driver on the light fixture was broken and there was no power running to the light. The light was also my main power source for my controller 69 pro, so it went off as well and was unable to let me know the light was powered off via the app. When I noticed this I called a grow-bro of mine, and asked if I could borrow his Viparspectra Par 700 he had, he purchased the AC Infinity Evo 10 Ionframes and had that light sitting around! Shout out to @Mr. Wowie for the quick save. With his help, I was able to get a light back over my plants within 4 hours. Not ideal but better than it could have been! The next day I was able to purchase and install a used HLG 550 locally. This light is even meaner than my old ionboard! Boasting 480 watts of power from the MeanWell drivers, Samsung LM301H diodes, it was repaired and has an import heat sink, however it doesn't seem to get too hot. It's very similar to my old light and the plants seem to be doing fine, with no signs of herming or extreme stress. This week I noticed both Phenos flowers are really beginning to swell up. By the end of flower I'm sure these nugs will be almost soda can sized. The number 1 Pheno is still purple as can be and has clearly not ceased it's anthocyanin production. The number 2 Pheno caught my eye, or more my nose this week it's giving off an awesome terp profile. It has a bit fruitier of a smell than the #1, sort of like a good peach strain, super lemon haze or good strawberry Pheno. Where it's really in your face. The #1 Pheno is total candy, sweet. Huge diversity in these 2 phenos! Very cool to see. I installed a new Dehumidifier this week to keep up with the humid spring. I purchased an Air Plus 50 pint on sale on Amazon. This dehumidifier works very well and has been doing a wonderful job at managing humidity levels in the flower room. I gave the last feeding of build a flower and tm-7 this week and will be watering with only water and Fish Sh!t from this point unless the plants tell me otherwise. Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones)- The clones did not have as interesting of a week, however they have began shooting more branches out and are developing the stereotypical thick Raspberry Ripple stalk, we've come to know and love these last 5 months. They seem to be on a good growth pace to run a perpetual cycle with. I feel they'll be pretty well ready for flower by the time I harvest the original plants. I still plan to keep a mother of each Pheno. Then begin my next Pheno hunt of Whiteberry by Paradise seeds. That pretty much wraps this week's entry up! Until next week, Happy Growing!- Starfish

Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Flowering Plants) The number one pheno has continued to stack on to it's large purple nugs! It's nugs are much larger than it's sister strain. The pistil hairs are still mostly white and are thick, so thick they almost look like roots! The fragrance from this plant are the more sweet raspberry candy, the pungency of the smell has increased this week! The trichome coverage is looking really good! And the nugs are coated in a sticky, greasy resin. She is definitely the stickier of the two so far. The number 2 pheno has began to put on some color as well, vibrant hues of orange, green and some slight purple as well. This pheno smells more like a raspberry wine than a candy. She may be being overshadowed by her sister a bit, but this strain also sports great resin production. I did notice a couple swollen calyxes on this pheno, I did go ahead and pop one off both phenos and I didn't find any seeds. It very well probably had something to do with the light change last week, when the original ionboard broke. I've noticed no other signs of herming. Both phenos seem to be entering their autmuning phase, loosing a little leaf color this week. Both of these cultivars seems to be progressing a little faster than the sourheads, so I see this as a natural fade. I did not feed this week and have been letting the remainder of the food in the median carry me through! Just Fish Sh!t and water ph 6.4-6.7. Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 clones The clones have still been growing strong and the taller number one Phenos have been getting a bit of low stress training to encourage them to become bushier. Now that I've seen how they flower out, I can better plan and train them to be real trellis fillers. Filling my flower room with the number one pheno (4 plants) would surely be a fantastic yield! They continue to exhibit all the same features as the plants they were cut from. Thick stalk, thick branches, leafy nature, medium growth rate. Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Flowering Plants) Number One Pheno- This purple giant, is really beginning to fade as it reaches the later weeks of flower. Next time I work with this strain, i'll for sure have it in 7 gallon pots or larger for flower! Just because it's stalk got so thick, and it puts on so much biomass in the stretching phase of flower. It's stalk is nearly double the size of its sister strain. All of the colas and any of the off shoot buds above the trellis, have swollen to be huge flowers this week. Some of the colas being as large as a soda can. The thick white pistil hairs have began to turn mostly orange. The bag appeal is outstanding, in my opinion! It's smells of a tart raspberry candy, with notes of leather and sweetness. It has shorter stalked trichomes but lots of easily identifiable coverage. I was worried when I initially popped these beans, that if I got this particular purple trait, it may be harder to asses the trichomes of the buds, but I've found it easy! I've read online most Phenos of Raspberry Boogie finish their flowering 58-62 days and this pheno seems to be right on that track. Number Two Pheno- The number 2 pheno, has began to pick up slight purple hues. However it mostly retained its mean and green look! This pheno sports longer stalked trichomes, that have a very sticky quality. Slightly stickier than her sister strain. The nugs are skinnier than the number one pheno but are still just as long! This strain also has the sweeter terpene profile of the two. Instead of the light leather smells, this one is full of overpowering sweet raspberry tones. It's smells more like a Raspberry Jam than a candy! This strain has began to fade this week and it's fade started about a week behind, it's sister. Number 2 is kind of a smaller plant in general, so I'm sure it's just being outpaced a little. General Statement- We now transition from the bulking stages of flower, to the ripening stages of flower. The nugs shouldn't get much larger from this point on. Their focus will now gear towards trichome and terpene production as long as everything is balanced and in check. These last weeks of flower are one of my favorite parts of the whole cycle. You really see all your hard work begin to pay off. Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2 (Clones) The clones are still thriving and are becoming optimal candidates for flowering plants! The number one pheno clones, are larger and growing a little faster. This is a normal behavior for these strains. Ever since these beans have popped, number one has gotten taller initially. The number two Pheno typically grows pretty even branching after topping. The number one will typically grow it's top 4 branches, after topping but needs to be tied down to encourage even canopy development. Neither one of their veg growth rates is a huge drawback. However the number one pheno seems to be easier to do perpetual cycles with, 60-80 days in veg would give you wonderful healthy plants for the flower room! The number 2 pheno may need around an extra 2 weeks to fill the same amount of canopy. I do have these plants under a 100w led at 50% with over 2 feet of distance in the 55 inch tent. You could easily use a stronger light and achieve faster results. I chose to veg under this weak lighting, so I can keep the plants in 1 gallons comfortably for a little longer. It's harder to fit 5 gallons in a 2x2. This week I did have to give the number one Phenos a small feed of 2 tablespoons of worm castings from Wiggle Worm mixed with a half teaspoon of crab meal from Down To Earth. They were beginning to yellow slightly but this feed got on top of it. I only have 3 to 4 weeks left before these get transplanted, and all but two of them go to the flower room. Thank you for checking out this week's entry of my grow diaries! Until next week! -StarFish

Raspberry Ripple (Flowering Plants)- Number One Pheno- Going into week 7, the pistil hairs have for the most part all turned a bright orange, with very few stragglers that are still white left behind. The leaves are yellowing out a little harder but still retain some green color. This strain will for sure be placed in 10 or 15 gallon pots next grow to give it some more leg room in week 5! The purple hues are as bright and vibrant as they've ever been! The fragrance has became more tart this week, but still retains it's sour raspberry candy smell, it has hints of a leather, that really help amplify the smell! It's pretty loud! It almost does smell sort of like a runtz now, but with more undertones and less in your face tartness. Number Two Pheno- The coat of Trichomes on the number two are looking pretty frosty! They have began to stack on top of each other and become more milky white than clear and give the number two pheno a nice frosty look against the green, orange and slightly pink color! Ive even noticed a couple amber trichomes on select nugs that are right under the light on this pheno. Its fan leaves still remain mostly green, but are probably 35% faded. It's smells are still of the sweet raspberry wine or almost hazy. Very fruity. But not your typical "berry" or "tropical". Both plants have began to consume less water, it now takes around 3 days for them to uptake a fully saturated pot. This is a good sign in later flower that the plants are approaching the end of their lives. They will probably be harvested in around 10-14 days! Clones- Number One Pheno's- The training methods, I've been using are proving successful and I have got a lot of branches that will be good candidates to be top flowers going already Number Two Phenos- The number two phenos clones branches seem to grow pretty symmetrically, after one topping. So I haven't been training them much further. Just keeping up with weekly watering of Roots Organic Trinity! And Bi weekly watering of Mykos WP. I'm definitely having better health on these plants than I did on my veg cycle with the Raspberry Ripple's I grew from seed. I was able to bring the flowering plants back once they were transplanted. But using the build a soil 3.0, over the build a soil lite in the 1 gallons has helped keep up with the metabolism of these hungry plants a lot better. Ill still probably go 2 gallons for veg next time! Tech Upgrade- This week I purchased an HLG blackbird for my flower room It sports 6 QB200 quantum boards with Samsung LM301H White Diodes and Osram 660nm Far Reds, 600w power output, 1,465 umol/s 2.57 umol/j. I was very interested in this light and had to pick one up for myself. The light I bought to replace my AC infinity S44 ionboard, worked well it does have 4 quantum boards with lm301h diodes. It does however get hot and the dimmer switch dial doesn't click through settings, just goes up and down freely like a house light and it has some free hanging wiring. You can definitely tell the heat sink is import and not quality. So this was much needed replacement. That about sums up this week! Thank you for checking out this week's entry of my grow! -StarFish

Raspberry Ripple Number One and Two (Flowering Plants) This week is the final week of Flower, I am noticing milky coverage on both plants and some amber trichomes as well. I gave the last watering today of distilled, dechlorinated water, with no P.H. Adjustments at 7.2 PH. I plan to harvest April 11th. Number One Pheno- The Number One Pheno is fully swollen and ripe now. The colas are densely stacked on the canopy. The foliage is quite over-faded, with some leaves being so dried out they crumble to the touch. I don't know if this is because the plant was in a bit too small of a pot or if my light was a little much these final weeks of flower. It is definitely ready for harvest! It's smells are still heavy in the raspberry candy department, with those hints of earthy leather on the back swing. Giving the number one pheno a very unique musk. The resin is greasy and plentiful! I can't wait to take this one down and trim it up to see how it looks in a jar! Number Two Pheno- The Number Two Pheno held out a little longer in its 5 gallon pot, it's a bit smaller of a plant. It's about 65% faded now but it's trichomes look finished! It's trichomes are very stacked out and coat this plant in a snow film! It may look a little boring next to its sister color wise, but it still sports some purple and pink hues under all the frost and I still think it'll be a worthy smoke as well! It smells of a raspberry wine but with that hazy fruity power. Almost like a strong mimosa strain. Clones- The larger clones in the 55 inch 2x2 MarsHydro veg tent, were starting to drink through water quickly! Mostly the larger number one phenos. Which would consume the entire dryback of their full pots in one day. I transplanted all the plants in the 55 inch tent into square pots (2 gallons for the Number 2 Phenos, 3 gallons for the Number 1 Phenos) this should hold them over for 3 to 4 weeks, so I can harvest and dry my flowering plants. I was unable to transplant the clones in the smaller Mars Hydro 30 inch Clone Tent, due to space constraints. I'll be feeding them worm castings and Down to Earth Crab Meal tomorrow. All the clones are looking healthy and look like they would be great candidates for flowering or mother plants. Tech Upgrade- This week I was able to purchase a Photobio Phantom Par Meter at a local grow shop's going out of business sale. With this tool I'll be able to get a dead on map of my light intensity and adjust accordingly. This will be great to have when setting up my new HLG Blackbird next cycle. I also got some 15 gallon grass roots fabric pots to try in the flower room next cycle. I also reached out to AC infinity and have an upgraded Cloudray S6 Gen 2 Oscillating Clip Fan on the way. My Gen 1 fan broke and would no longer oscillate correctly. AC infinity replaced it free of charge with the latest model. I think that about sums up this week! I'm very excited to take these plants down and begin preparing for next cycle. I was extremely lucky to get such amazing results of my first Pheno hunt. I can't thank Mosca Seeds and Tiki Madman enough for selecting such great crosses. It's hard to believe I got these two seeds as a freebie pack, with another order. I'm super thankful to have Grow Diaries to use and rely on for charting my week to week data, questions I have, and comparing my findings and results to other growers with similar strains, like @THCpapa grow of Raspberry Boogie! Thank you for checking out this week's entry of my growdiaries! See you for the harvest! -Starfish

My Raspberry Ripple phenos performed awesome! It was very important to stay on top of their transplants in veg! They drink a lot more water than the SourHeads did as well! Other than that, they are very easy plants. Strong stalk, healthy flowers, no signs of herming or molds!

Harvest- Both phenos were harvested 60 days into flower, they dried as a whole plant for 10 days at 68°F/50% Humidity. Drying at a lower humidity, gave these buds a nice snap and break down. They retained tons of their smell too. Definitely a dry I'm digging. Both strains are now curing, but it's like they hardly need it. The end product of both phenos burns steady, smooth and the effects are there. I'm sure the taste will pop even harder in two weeks in the jar! Number One Pheno- These buds are so dark purple with bright orange hairs and a shimmering thin sparkle of trichomes visible on the buds. They look insane. Smells are now like spicy, leathery raspberry with a runtz undertone. This strain is extremely creeper. All three taste testers, reported a strong creeper buzz, with tons of body relief. It breaks down to a purple kinetic sand, that packs the bowl evenly for a nice full hit. I got a bigger yield off the number one it filled 3 jars (about 3oz) with large (A) nugs and 1 (1oz) jar of Larf. Number Two Pheno- The Number 2 pheno is purple and green. Sweet doughy raspberry pastry smells now pop through at first, the winey smells have mellowed out to more of almost a guava undertone. This pheno sparkles with a thick layer trichomes, it burns more slushy tasting and hazy. It hits you more up front than it's sister, but it also has some creeper tendencies to it. It also breaks down well! It's larf was a little looser, but the top nugs are both killer. It filled 2 jars (2oz) of large (A) nugs and 2 jars of larf (1 3/4) oz Clones- The clones will being moved to the flower set up next week! They are getting huge and are ready to move out of the little tent! Tech Upgrade- This week I got a new Vivosun 48×96x72 grow tent, for my set up. I'll now be running the HLG Blackbird in there. I have an 8inch AC Infinity inline fan on the way as well. I'll also be using my current light I just finished this run under on the other side, until I get something else! That about sums it up! I'll upload more to this diary when I get more pictures of the flowers during cure! Thank you for checking on my grow, shout out if you followed along this far! Special Shout outs to Mr. Wowie and THCPapa. Shout out Mosca for the fire gear, who knew some free seeds would bang plants like this out?! Shout out to grow diaries for connecting me with others and allowing me to catalogue my work. Happy growing, Happy living and I'll see you in the next one! Your Growmie! -StarFish

@THCpapa, both of these smell just fantastic! Key differences but that same raspberry smack. I didn't even realize what raspberry terps would really smell like until I smelled this. It's so undeniably raspberry. Not strawberry, not grape, not runtz. Raspberry. It's very unique!

@Grower_Of_Persia, it ended up curing out really nice! I do feel like I harvested just about a week early. I used a jewelers loupe to scope my trichomes out last time. Since then my buddy got this 45X microscope with a screen. I definitely noticed more clear trichomes than I could make out originally with that. So I'm thinking I'll do this next run with the Ripples a little longer! As for flavor. The purple number one pheno is so unique it's like gassy, old school purple where it's like earthy fruit. It's so hard to describe. It's definitely its own flavor, it's not runtzy or hazy or anything super familiar. The number 2 is kind of mimosa, hazy, smells kind of like fruit peels honestly!

@THCpapa, my next Pheno hunt is coming up before the end of the month! I did a pretty decent upgrade on my flower space for this next run!

Where is your diary on the Sour Heads?! Those look and sound tempting!

@BigDripFelgo, I didn't dedicate a diary to the Sourheads! I got them from clones, the original genetics are called Nughead from mean gene I think! Edit: Nugheads is by skunktek not meangene
the end.
