Had some problems with deficiencies and rust spots because of that, but other than that she is doing great. Frosting up and looking beautiful. Adjusted the nutrient intake with help of the community 🙏

I am planning to introduce a CO2 pad to the box at 2-3rd week of veg., should I give it a try? Has anyone used it, how safe would it be?

CO2 is only good if you run a sealed environment, if not your venting out the CO2 it produces. Living environments already have a above average CO2 levels vs outdoor air samples because of people living in them. To much CO2 in your living environment can cause issues for yourself if it gets to high. I'd ditch the idea of it and focus on everything else, once you lock that in then you should go back and reexamine the idea of supplemental CO2. Look into VPD and DLI as a start. Good Luck!

My plant showed true leaves finally but looks odd Could anyone confirm if it is not OK? If not, is this something that could be fixed or it is just bad luck with the seed?

it seems to be a small malformation, for me nothing alarming, I would let it take some apex to see if it persists, if it grows well, with good growth, I would continue despite this, a plant can always to surprise even if in appearance it is not like the others. Consider her unique, love her like the others and she will return it to you.❤️🌱

First pair of leaves look funky due to unknown problems in germination, I wonder if it would be a good idea to remove them? Or will it be better to just let them be?(my guess is that if I remove them, grow potential of plant won’t be invested in them, but into new growing).

I would not pluck anything off a plant this young, It will only hamper its growth and set it back. Its just to young at this point. Not everything is going to look 100% on any plant, When they are larger and have the reserve to bounce back from getting stripped is a different scenario. You can pluck off the weird looking ones once no more light touches them and they grow up a bit. More Leaves = More Energy = More Growth. Best of Luck!

Hey guys, please help me identify the cause of these rust spots on leaves. Seems to progress in last couple of days(spread). Might this be a light/heat burn? Or some nute def? I added CalMag on previous feeding. Distance to light is 32cm currently.

Hello, I‘ve seen that you just started using cal-mag and big bud coco wich is good because they contain important trace element‘s that are not in DualPart Bloom or Grow. Magnesium is an essential ellement for photosynthesis wich will help alot. I also calculatet your npk and In Total you have 185mg/L Nitrogen, 230mg/L phosphorus and 245mg/L potassium. The levels of phosphorus are high but do not often lead to toxicity unless you are not ph balanced. The second problem with high phosphorous is that It hinders secondary Motabolism aka cannabinoids. It can help with plant groth but only up to 90mg/L wich is way below. I would recommend you to read this study because it would be very beneficial! https://www.growweedeasy.com/phosphorus-toxicity-cannabis Your biggest potasium intake is the DualPart Bloom wich I assume weighs about 1Kg per 1L. The P concentration is 5% so you have 50g of Phosphorous in your fertelizer. 0,004 (4ml of 1000ml) times 50g = 0,15g or 150mg/L of phosphorous. I would cut that in half and cut the Big Bud Coco wich has 80mg/L of each phosphorus and potasium. You also don‘t need that much potasium in flower, wich is proven by diferrent studies. After that your NPK would be: 175mg/L N, 115mg/L P and 160mg/ K. Contraty to popular believe Cannabis does need Nitrogen for the stretching phase because it nearly grows double in sice. To highten the N and the K a little bit more you can use 0,5 ml more of the DualPart Grow. In the end you‘ll have a great balence of nutriens with an exact NPK of: 200mg/L N, 115mg/L P and 185 K. Imo a litle bit less P would be good so for that you‘ll need to cut the Dual Part Bloom to maybe 1 ml. This would mean just a third of it wich would give you: 195mg/L N, 90mg/L P and 170mg/L K. To back my claim up that this is optimal, here is a reaserch showing it: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpls.2021.764103/full The final recipy is: DualPartBloom 1ml/L DualPartGrow 2ml/L Big Bud Coco 1 ml/L Sensi Cal-Mag extra 2ml/L I can guarantee you your EC will be spot on. 💪🏻🌱

Should I defoliate next week? Advise what would be better, leave the leaves until harvest, or defoliate leaves heavily now to expose buds only? Check my diary for photos! growdiaries.com/diaries/186142-grow-journal-by-liliarose

The npk feeding is correct and the Cal-mag feeding too. Anyone that can calculate can tell you that. The issue is a Manganese deficiency like i already told you. This is at least what i suspect since I already know the npk is correct. So don‘t just take 100 apreaches on healing the symptoms when the desease is clearly another. Noteverything is Cal-Mag, overfeeding or ph ect. Sometimes it‘s an element that wasn‘t fed but is needed. I‘m not saying i‘m 100% correct but if any advise given is not properly anylized by yourself, why bother even give any? Flush the plant now and you will see…

Defoliation is massively misunderstood..........it does not "make energy go to the buds"! All of the plants energy is made by the leaves. Less leaves = less energy being made = less potential bud growth. This is simple plant science. Defoliate after harvest, not before would be my advice. Personally, I believe defoliation is really bad for plants. In 40 years of growing I have tried many, many "techniques", including defoliation and for the last 25 years, never, ever defoliate as I have observed the many negative impacts this causes to plants. Cannabis grows best with as little stress as possible and with as many leaves as possible to provide the maximum amount of energy for best health and fastest growth. If the plants would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place! The plants "know" what is best for them, it is only people who think they know better than a plant that is at is peak of efficiency after Millenia of evolution.

Hey shes getting really big! One thing I was reaserching the last few hours is the influence of trace elements on Cannabis, and how deficiencies look like. Do you feed your plants any form of Trace elements such as Borron (B), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn) ect.? Because these are immobile Micronutriens and deficiencies mostly show up in the newer groth. In particular, the way shes looking right now I think you might have a Manganese deficiency (if you google it looks very similar). It shows up as brown dots with yellowing leaves on the newer and midle groth. The benifits of Manganese is it helps catch the light in a prism for the plant to use it. So without Mn chlorophyll cannot capture light energy for photosythesis. It‘s great that you lowered your Phosphorus intake because this way you won’t have any blockage of those important trace elements. But thats the next step, to get those elements in the soil and to the plant 🌱 Great groth and Good luck! :)

@liliarose, that could also be the case. But that too corelates to nutrien uptake wich means if you weren‘t feeding trace elements in the first place it will be even harder for the plant to accumulate them. If you get MONO Trace mix, you will have every important trace element you will need: Bo, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo and Zn. Some of them are benifitial but some of them are crutial for photosynthesis. It‘s pretty cheap also but if you find any other trace mix with at least Fe, Bo and Mn (Iron, Boron and Manganese) you shouldn‘t have problems with trace nutriens anymore. I highly suspect a Manganese deficiency wich looks exactly like this. Of course i could be wrong tho so i wanted to ask if you feed any of these! So i would try it 🙌🏼 but she is growing strong so ur doing a great job
liliarose
liliarose
@SimpleGrow, Hi, no I don’t feed with trace elements. What products would you recommend? I think this might have been caused by a probable incorrect pH in the water on one big watering.

Hi, why is your light so far away from the leafs? It should be 30 cm over the seedling. Your seedling looks very weak. It needs more light! You have a light meter. Why dont you use it? When you dim your light, you can even hang it 15 cm over your seedling. No danger.

Good luck! :) Just a small tip, maybe you just did it for the Picture, but don't point the fan directly at the pot/plant, you want just a breeze in the grow room/tent and not direct wind on them. Could you tell me what kind of fan you are using? it looks good :)
