(December 14 - December 21) Got a '10' pack from RainDelay. Actually received 13! Noice. It's (Strawberry Cough X Dosidos). I'm looking to find a good keeper with this hunt to breed with or maybe even give back to RainDelay(we have a mutual friend)to work with . I know Strawberry Cough to be a lanky sativa and Dosi to be a short hybrid so we'll see what phenotypes RNG gives me this time. For my equipment I'm growing in a gorilla grow tent 5x5 with a HLG 750 light (currently set at 25%). I will be switching the light to a Gavita 1700e once I decide to flip to flower. I'm planning on vegging for 5-6 weeks, depending on general plant structure. I could even go as low as 4 weeks if the majority of phenos lean towards the tall and lanky cough side. I've got an AC infinity controller and exhaust fan regulating temperature and humidity, as well as an AC infinity humidifier bringing the RH up to at least 60%. As soon as all of the seeds actually sprout I'll further dial in the VPD but until then, my equipment is being used elsewhere. As of now the lowest the temp reading I'm getting is about 75, but it's stable at about 77-78 with lights on. As of 12/24/23 I started using the Advanced Nutrients pH perfect Sensi Grow part A and B. I'm also using voodoo juice and B-52 supplements of the same nutrient line. I'll be using recommended dosages until the plants tell me otherwise. All solo cups are getting 50 mL of the mix above everyday until next week.

(December 21 - December 28) The ladies are chugging along and they've all successfully sprouted. I'd still consider them seedlings but growdiaries doesn't have that option so this'll be "week one of veg". One or two of the seeds got a bit of a late start compared to the others so I'll have to keep a close eye on em. I don't want to cull anyone but I will cancel whoever can't keep up.

(December 28 - January 4) Real slow going this "second" week of veg. My humidifier glitched out and I've got a replacement on the way, but the RH took a hit this week for sure dipping into the 40's at times. Most of the time it's been hovering around 60-65, but I really would like it 70-75. Oh well. Snapped a pic on the 27th.

(January 4 - January 11) I'd consider this the first week of Veg. Doubled the base nutrients. Still waiting on humidifier to get here. I've culled 3 less desirable plants. One had some genetic deformities, another had issues with nutrient uptake and the last REALLY hated the lower humidity. Everyone else seems to be doing fine so they get to stay. If #4 doesn't catch up in an appreciable amount of time she'll also be booted (I secretly want this to happen so that I'll have 9 plants with equal amounts of space). Added predatory mites. All phenos but #4 are drinking roughly equally so I'm about ready to start watering to runoff. I'll be on a separate watering schedule for #4 as I don't want to drown her. On the 10th I lowered the lights so that they're 57 inches from the tops of the plants.

(Jan 11 - Jan 18) I got a new humidifier from AC infinity and the plants are loving it. I quickly increased the base feed from 8 to 12 and then the next day to 16. They looked hungry and as of the 18th they seem to be responding well to the feed. I also culled #4 because she just wasn't catching up to her sisters. Increased lights to 60%. I recently got the correct part A formula for coco specifically so we'll see next week how they respond. I transplanted from solo cups to 2 gallon plastic pots so things should pop off next week. I sprinkled a bit of Big Foot mycorrhizal powder on the indent of the solo cup before transplanting all of these ladies. If they grow fast enough I might even need to top. The 2 gallon pot will be it's final pot as I've seen some amazing crops come out of 2 gallon "trade pots"(1.5 gallons really) before. Rough phenotype observations #1 Tallest at 9 inches tall and most developed. It's been the most developed for a while and drinking a lot. Not the tightest inter-nodes or most symmetrical branch development. It seems like a slightly bigger version of the average plant in here so this could just be some sort of head start I couldn't have controlled for. #2 Average height and development not too cluttered not too lanky very uniform structure #3 She's kinda leaning but that's okay average to tall height(if she were upright) bushy structure and fatter leaves #4 Culled(but not really though she's next to my fish tank trying to find herself) #5 One of the tallest, happiest, upright, most developed and she's got tighter inter-nodes too. Gold star my dude #6 Second tallest more upright with fat wavy leaves. Looser inter-nodes but nice development. #7 Second smallest at 5 inches tall. Otherwise unremarkable #8 On the tall side at just under 8 inches. Good branch development with thinner leaves. Nice uniform upright structure #9 Average height at just over 5 inches. Good branch development but not overall size/vigor #10 Runt of the pack and even forgot to put on a branch on node 3 or 4. That's not even symmetrical bro -10 points. Below average everything. To that I scoff number 10! Get it together... Who knows though all of these plants have had a solo cup to work with. A whole 2 gallons is going to be a game changer. *update I've been watering with 1 liter per plant now every other day or everyday when I don't wanna risk it. I'm using a petra fogger backpack sprayer to water with so it takes a while, but I think the slower you water the better. As of the 23rd all the ladies have roots shooting out of the bottom so that's cool. They're all looking great honestly. I could possibly look at topping everyone tomorrow with all the recent growth. *25th update They took to the topping and transplant very well. When topped the cuts smelled like thick straw/raspberries and some complex funky incense. They all more or less had the same smell so the winner might be decided by structure or effects. We'll see though it's far too early to guess anything like that.

(January 18 - January 25) I've been watering with 1 liter per plant now every other day or everyday when I don't wanna risk it. I'm gonna keep with the gypsum until flower at least. I tried 1 tsp per gallon but that made my EC about 3.4-3.8 and that's a bit heavy right now. I'm using a petra fogger backpack sprayer to water with so it takes a while, but I think the slower you water the better. As of the 23rd all the ladies have roots shooting out of the bottom so that's cool. They're all looking great honestly. (January 25 - February 1) I've been watering with 2L of my mix about every other day. Everyone's looking good. #5 is lagging a bit behind, but remains very bushy. #3 had some nice side shoot development. #8 continues to impress with structure. #10 continues to do weird stuff such as forgetting to put branches on and stacking 3 branches on the same node. WEIRDO! I changed the light up to 90 % on the 1st.

(February 1 - February 8) I added predatory mites on 2/2 (I've had spider mites and broad mites before and used to work at a place that had russets for a while I ain't risking it!)I lowered the EC by taking away the gypsum and adding rhino skin and bud candy. I would like to see how they respond to the additives before I bring the EC back up. All the plants look perfectly healthy without a flaw on one leaf as of 2/3. If everything looks good by 2/6 I'll add in some gypsum again, but just enough to get back to 2.5-2.6 EC. 2/4 They're absolutely crushing it with the new mix. I opened the tent tonight to some praying ladies!

(February 8 - February 15) Got a flood tray on Feb. 14 to make the watering a litter easier on myself. These ladies have been mostly perfect the whole way through. I did find some leaves that told me they needed more calcium. Nothing on any new growth just probably an effect of taking away gysum for a watering or two a while ago

(February 20 - February 27) Flipped to flower on Feb. 20th. I put on some trellis netting. The first net was just below the very top branches, just enough to spread some of them out a bit. The second net is 1 foot above the first. With the size of the tent and plants I do not foresee needing another net. I'll be doing a very light prune on the 10th day of flower. I'll only take off a little as I don't want there to be much stretch. They might get tall anyway, I've never ran this strain...I'm also turning my 750diablo up to 100% to reduce stretch as much as possible. I'm seeing a lot of fungus gnats so I'll be employing big yellow sticky traps. As of 2/23 I added two 42watt T5 lights to the bottom of the flood tray to keep the lower branches happier

April 16 - April 24 Overall It was a good run but there were a lot of herm issues so I will not be running this strain again. Most phenotypes smoke pretty good but #9 was just a bit smoother and fruity than the rest. #1 had awesome bud structure but low yield. #10 crushed yield and even had to be cut back to prevent it growing into the lights and also grew such thick buds they had some rot in the middle(straight to the compost bin). Next time I'll run some genetics and nutes I'm more familiar with in this setup because we did great for environments. Nobodies perfect but this was entirely too many herms for me to justify running it again. Maybe if I have an extra tent someday. Everything dry this tend yielded 2.4 lbs
