This is my first time growing Inhouse Genetics. Got some freebies from NASC and wanted to try out Inhouse above everything else I got. I used the glass of water into paper towel method. Surprisingly she didn't sink nor pop after a few days in the paper towel. Got a bit upset and started germinating a different strain but still planted the Flap Jacks. Turns out she popped in the soil!
I've got an extra plant now that I don't have space for. Going to decided whether or not I want to grow both the Flap Jacks and Skywalker OG in the same tent.
As always, I plant my photos in a small pot mixed with half Light Warrior and half Happy Frog. Will transplant around the 2 week mark.
Transplanted her on day 14 in a 10 gallon pot with 50/50 happy frog/ocean forest. It doesn't seems she's taken well to the transplant despite the myco. Environment might be a bit too off for her. She should bounce back in a day or two though. Looking forward to seeing her fill out the 10 gallon pot.
This plant is pretty gnarly. She has a super dank smell to her even in veg. When you rub the stem, you can smell straight gas. I did a bit of a FIM last week, so she has 3 new tops.
Gunna grow her out a bit more before flower.
Great growth. I've been doing a little low stress training on her in preparation for flower. Probably going to put the net up soon.
Fed her a cup of craft blend and worm castings this week.
Flipped her into flower right at the beginning of this week, then put the net up. Gunna do a little training, maybe some lollipoping next week.
She smells super dank. Very excited to see what she does.
Continuing to train her under the net this week and she's hit her stretch. Probably got another week or two of stretch. I think I won't need another net, but we will see.
Fed her craft blend this week. I'm really liking the way she is growing. Long node spacing with pretty minimal light blockage from the leaves. She seems to be loving life which is what I want to see. Pistils coming in and buds starting to form.
Good health all around and she continues to stretch. I really like the way she has been growing. Long stalks and long internode spacing.
Just water this week.
Her stretch has slowed down almost to a stop this week. Her pistils are getting longer and bud formation is starting.
Her canopy is pretty level, but not perfect which is completely fine. She is really enjoying life and I expect her to be done in another 5 or so weeks.
Leaves are still dark green. I'm starting to see some of the leaves change color to a deep purple/black. It is very pretty and I look forward to seeing more of it.
Fed a cup of Craft Blend this week as well. Will probably feed her one or two more times.
Rate of growth is slow but steady. She seems to be loving life here in the 3x3. Many more of her leaves have turned black and I expect most of them to do so before chop. A few of the bottom leaves are yellowing and dying. I was expecting her to be done around 8 weeks of flower, but I think she may go to 10 or so weeks.
I fed her about half the amount of craft blend I usually do this week. This may be the last feeding I give her, but I'll just have to eyeball it as I go.
Bad news in the tent today boys. Found out that has hermed. Finding immature nanners towards the bottom of the plant. Did some research and browsed some forms. Seems like the Flap Jacks (aptly named Flop Jacks) and its parents have a herm issue. I'm not the most familiar with Inhouse Genetics but it's pretty upsetting that they would release a hermie line and charge alot of money for it. No wonder why this Flap Jacks came as a freebie from NASC. Last time I run a freebie without doing research on it beforehand. Honestly its my fault for not doing my research, but I'm still a bit upset.
I picked all the male parts off her, but I'm sure I missed some. Definitely going to get pollinated and produce seeds. I'm too far into flower to chuck her, so I'll just let her finish.
Just waiting for her to finish up. This is week 9 of flower, and she's probably got another 1-2 weeks hopefully. She smells and looks really good. Got a gassy, fruity cereal stank so far.
Looks like she's finally finishing up. Only a few more days now to chop. Looking under the microscope, I see mostly cloudy with some amber. Lots of amber on the sugar leaves.
Very frosty nugs of average density and below average size. Extremely pungent and smells of wedding cake, sugary cereal, and gas. Low yielder, but very potent. Lots of larfy nugs towards the bottom and a long flowering time. This plant hermed on me, but I either got all the male parts off before pollination, or the pollen was sterile as the buds are not seeded at all. Effect is really good, leaning towards indica effects. No hard couch lock, but high doses cause giggling, relaxation, and forgetfulness. The 7/10 score is carried mostly by its smell and effect. Probably won't grow this one again, but I'm mostly satisfied with the results.
Finally chopped and hung her up to dry on day 114. Gosh, this plant took forever to finish flowering :D.
It seems like I've either managed to pick off all the male parts, or the pollen was sterile as none of the buds are seeded which is a huge relief. Was starting to get disillusioned with this grow until harvest.

My gripes that I have with this plant (besides the herm) were that it took so long to flower and it didn't produce a very good yield. Manage to get around 120g of good usable bud, the rest is larf and not suitable for smoking. I usually think quality is better than quantity, but for the amount of time this plant took to finish flowering its kind of a disappointing yield. Oh well, its good shit and its not seeded I guess.
Probably won't grow this one again, but I'm mostly satisfied with the results. Would definitely try out some of Inhouse Genetics other stuff at some point, but the next time I'll be exhaustively researching the genetics before I grow. If you're reading this thinking about growing Inhouse I recommend you do the same, as this plant hermed on me with a perfect environment.
Probably going to run something from Humboldt Seed Company next. See you there!
