New seeds! First time ordering from Quebec Cannabis Seeds - great experience so far, really excited with this mix pack and love that the strains are individually labeled, arrived really fast and received freebie 3 pure power plant seeds too 🌱 48 hours in paper towel and the 4 have sprouted tap roots, nothing happening to the PPP but it was the smallest of the 3 seeds. Popped the largest PPP in a glass of water as a back-up. Germinated all the seeds in paper towels. Rehydrated some prom-mix cx with GP3 micro and prepared some 2oz cups to transplant. Mmm.. none of the ppp or mac1s germinated, and only half the rest.. contacted breeder and was sent a new batch with instructions not to use paper towels for germinating. Ok this time I planted one of each strain into pots of pro-mix hp and set in a warm place and 72 hours later they all popped. Yay

So we didn’t do great germinating these seeds.. not sure why but only ended up with 2 GGs, 1 FB and 1 BB.. I germinated the first half in coco and the other half with new bag of promix hp .. as they have true leaves they are getting 1/4 strength feed under 24/0 light. Breeder was super nice when I contacted them and are sending me more seeds.

I’ve switched to a custom fertilizer blend, flushed all the plants with the new solution until the runoff matched the input values. I’ve transplanted the original 3 seedlings into 1 gallon bags of promix cx (coco). Topped them and rooting the tops to make clones for this mom hunt. 1 of the originals (gorilla glue) has failed to thrive and is stunted at the 3rd node.. I’m ready to toss her. The 4 replacement seedlings are also ready to transplant but not quite ready to top for cloning, needs a little bit more stem growth before I prune back to the 3rd node. I’m very happy with these ladies so far. I could send the first 3 to flower right now but I’m going to wait for the other 4 to catch up first so I can run them all together.

The first 3 seeds that popped are ready for flowering so I put them into the 3x3 with my Afghan project. Lights switched to 12-12 since Feb 28, photos taken Mar 2. Same feed, about 1L a day to get 20% runoff readings of 1100ppm and 6.3 pH. These girls are in 1 gallon of promix cx coco. The Bruce banner and gorilla glue cuts taken when they were topped failed to root so I’m going back for more cuts to clone. Fat bastards trileaf clone has good roots though so we’re good there! I’ve ordered a drain tray and stand for the 2x2 automatic watering system I got which should be set up by Wednesday and we will be flowering the next 4 seedlings in a sog with a few other clones. Those 4 are currently planted in promix hp in 500ml starter pots and I think we’re going to stick with it and flower as is.. Plan was to repot all 7 plants into 1 gallon of coco like the first 3 but the 1st 3 were repotted to early and have put on massive growth and my veg tent is packed and we are rapidly running out of space for all our projects. So sog for the mini plants and clones to complete the first round of our pheno hunt for our “house heavy hitter”. I’m going to have to split the diary up for the sog grow as the readings will get too confusing. Mar 3 evaluating the replacement plants that are in 4” pots of promix hp topped and pruned for clones. Bruce banner 2 and gorilla glue 2 are 8in and Mac 1 and fat bastard are 5in. These are getting added to a sog to evaluate theflower.

Day 8 flower Bruce banner 1 is 13” Fat bastard 1 is 16” Gorilla glue 1 is 15” Still feeding veg 800ppm once daily drain to waste. Waiting for new drain table and lights before setting up the drip irrigation system. Increased light intensity to 650 ppfd for now. No defoliation or pruning at this time. The other 4 seedlings were potted up into 1/2 gallon bags and added to a micro SOG in the 2x2 to flower. I will record them in a separate diary and come back to score the moms later. All 7 plants have clones in the nursery rooting for potential mother plants.

It was a sad week. My favourite plant in this grow was the fat bastard and the bastard is male. Had to pull him out and send him to the compost, little photoshoot/funeral with him and the dog outside. I still have his clone though, he was 3-leafed and the his shape was just beautiful.. now we have a big gap in the net but the Afghan is taking over. Ok back to who’s left. We have gorilla glue and Bruce banner in the net and we have the other 4 in the 2x2. Switched feed to 50:50 bloom/grow, setup the automatic drippers and running to waste twice per day. They are eating fast and growing well. Signs of flowering finally.

Rooted clones up potted Kept the male clone for now 3x3 scrog looking good despite losing fat bastard. 24” leaves a bit damaged from not letting the spray-n-grow foliar feed dry properly before the too close lights came back on Runoff of 3x3 is 600 pH 6.4 Runoff of 2x2 is 900 pH 6.8 Flushed 2x2 and increased watering for both 4 minutes

Everything about this flowering period has been problematic, had major pH problems with my source water changing and bad light burn from changing tnew lights.. I’m not sure if I should continue our just cut my losses and move on to the next batch..

PH finally stabilizing but too late for nugs and pheno evaluation. Getting next round of clones ready to start this pheno hunt again. Moms looking super healthy and clones starting to root.

This one is EVERYONE’s favourite. The smell is sweet and fruity. Taste is yummy. Smoke is smooth. High is fast and strong. I only harvested an ounce and once the jars were cured this one was gone in a flash! Trying again.
