A week has passed and the plants have settled in. We start the first nutrient feed, according to BioBizz's feeding schedule. There is not much interesting going on yet, and we are keeping the light at a maximum distance to the plants for the time being.

Grow Questions

My plants have started getting spots on the leaves for 2 weeks now. I found some tiny bugs on the underside of the leaves and sprayed them down with plant soap, however, they are still there apparently. Is there anything else wrong with my plants looking at the leaves?

Hi @dancingshrubbery! I think the yellow spots are not related to bugs/pests. The dark & almost glossy foliage makes me think of a slight Nitrogen abuse for the last weeks, and as as result, the rootzone is having hard times trying to handle Phosphorous intakes. You must stop BioGrow as soon as the stretch has ended (~week2 of flowering stage), this explains why you're having some deficiencies. Flush your medium with plain pH'd water, and stick to BioBloom + TopMax in your next feedings. LaughingBuddha is one of the best weed I ever smoked in Amsterdam, you will have fun 😎 Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@dancingshrubbery, I always go for photo's indoor. You can let them veg as long as you like and they need less light during flowering (12h) Now every strain is a bit different and every seed has it's own properties. You gotta have a bit of luck with mother nature & her dna 😉

@@JackSpliff, Thanks. Yes I like the deep green colour, but I am a bit dissapointed in the bud growth compared to my last diary at the same week (growdiaries.com/diaries/9475-first-time-pineapple-express-auto). It is the same lamp, soil, nutrients. The only difference are the strains and that they are now photoperiodic instead of autos. I have even added Bud Explosion Z from Big Plant Science, which (hopefully) should improve the buds.

Looking good. I love laughing Buddha, the high is amazingly energetic and full of joy. She will need support for the last weeks.

o you have a picture of the insects, aphids maybe=? I had good succes with buying predatores who eat the other insects. But got to know wich bugs you have under the leaves. But iam guessing aphids. therefor are ladybug larvaes great. as you are in flowering stage i wont spray anything on the plants, if there no flowers( next grows) there are many solutions for insects. most time i use Neemoil -solutions, nicotine-sprayons help very good too. Maybe do a pic of the insects and we look together wich insects those are and look for the fitting predators Your plant is looking good for her age, its normal that there are a few dmages. i see no big Problems who got to be solved. feel free to ask per pm if youve uploades some pics

Thanks for all the good comments. I pulled off a few of the hurting leaves today and could not find the tiny tiny brown elongated bugs I had seen earlier. They are very hard to spot as they are so small. I have noticed that my fan wasn't actually blowing air onto the plants, and actually not even making them move, the slightest. This has been corrected, and I installed a more powerful light. I think as Stick writes, the hurting leaves might have been due to over-nutrition as I am running a quite experimental mix from 2 companies. I don't think there is Powdery Mildew, as I can't rub off the white glossy spots. It looks more like glossy residue from the insecticidal soap.

The slight yellow spots are visible in the last picture, in the very bottom of the frame on the right. One of the lower leaves are spotted.
