I started the first week of veg by preparing the pots I'll need to up-pot her. I then transplanted her into the smallest pot. As always, I added myco during the transplant and put on a humidity dome to keep the microclimate nice and humid for her. It's pretty dry right now (mid-high 30s) so a humidity dome definitely helps since my humidifier was in use in my drying tent.
The week has been uneventful, as the first week usually is, and all I've done is check in on her every few days. I gave her a little bit of water on D5.
Height: 6 cm, Width: 6 cm
I slowly ramped up the DLI across the week, starting around 9 on D1 and increasing to 16 on D7.
@nonick123,
Hey.
Those are USB fans, so they are powered through regular USB. I use a USB output in the power socket I use for my light, exhaust fan, etc., but you can use a regular 5W adapter.
Search Amazon for "double fan USB", and you should find something similar. I spent 10 euros at the hardware store on angle brackets and metal profiles for attaching the fans to the tent.
The fans aren't very powerful but are enough for a young plant and for under-canopy circulation later in the grow.
I have to add a more powerful fan later in the grow for better circulation in the canopy, but no idea where to fit that fan... lol
It's challenging to grow in a 40x40 cm tent, but that is part of the fun :D
Curious what u were using to monitor ur DLI? Was looking at a proper meter but just curious what u maybe using. (Lux,par or phone app?)
Been trying to really monitor the DLI in my newer grows , but not to sure how close Photone actually is without having a Par Meter to gauge off of.
But appreciate the info u share in your journals !! Hope she explodes for u ! Best of luck!!
@Grow4Releaf,
I'm using a PHOTOBIO PAR Meter. Not nearly as good as an Apogee meter, but I can't justify that cost as a small home grower, so I went with cheaper one.
That said, the Photone app is supposed to be really good, so why not start with that one? Certainly can't beat the price ;)
Also, I believe that the accuracy compared to "real" PAR meters isn't all that important. The real benefit is to be able to quantify the changes. For example, the app reads a PAR of 800 in flower, but you want to push harder and increase it to 900. Easy enough to measure with the app, so does it really matter that the initial PAR really was 824, and the final 917?
I don't think so, although I still would like to have an Apogee ;P
Thanks for your well wishes, and I hope you have great grows as well. π±π Your Platinum Jelly looks great! ππ I've been wanting to grow In House for a long time, and I can't wait until we go legal so I can order some seeds for myself.
