Cino's Blueberry Fem

01/01/2024 : looks fine so just rain water (pH=6.2) with calmag and elycitor @1g/L. 01/05/2024 : the height is 6.5 cm. I gave 1 L rain water (pH=6.3) with calmag and 1mL Terralba's blackstrap molasses.

01/08/2024 : it looks OK but the stem is becoming purple, don't know if it's normal or not... The height is 7,5 cm. As it's with my autos for the moment, it has same conditions (RH 65%, 16 DLI). I'm gently waiting for the fifth pair of leaves to grow to begin mainlining.

2024/01/13 : not much new here... the height is about 8 cm now, very slow grow. Temps were too low so I added a flat 250W radiant heater and with DLI set to 20 now, it's about 24°C by day and 23°C by night : much better for vegetation! I water every 2 or 3 days with 1 L (about 300 mL runoff) and alternate elycitor/molasses. Anyway, the seedling is now a plant so I made a quick video to celebrate! 2024/01/16 : it seems blueberry liked the hotter temp, buying this flat heater was best thing i've done this run... The height is 10 cm now and 4th node is here. I'm waiting for the 5th one to top it. I checked runoff pH and found 6.78, hoping it's OK.

2024/01/19 : plant looks healthy, 5th node is deploying, I can see 6th, even tiny 7th... so I decided to top. Back to 10 cm... 2024/01/20 : mainlining starts today, 2024/01/22 : ML's going on, watered with elycitor (1 g/L). 2024/01/23 : sprayed with Foliar Spray from B.A.C. last night to help a little 2024/01/24 : blueberry takes all this like a champ, it has 2 bodybuilded main stems. Now waiting for 4th nodes on each stem for 2nd top... 2024/01/25 : watered with molasses (1 mL/L), I can see baby 3rd nodes...😀

2024/01/26 : not much to say, mainlining is going on... 2024/01/29 : LST on first nodes and removed second nodes. 2024/02/01 : first tiny signs of deficiencies on lower fan leaves so BB transplanted to a 2 gal smartpot with 70% canna coco pro+ / 20% hydroton / 10% worm-humus and added 1 g monsterX mycorrhizae, 1 g Aptus micromix soil, another half biotabs tablet, 10g startrex watered with 2 L (orgatrex @5 mL/L + 1 g bactrex + calmag @1 mL/L). That should do the trick for next vegetation month. I let it rest for a few days to recover from transplant and I'll do 2nd topping after third nodes. Once main-lining redone with "Js", the height is 13,5 cm.

2024/01/04 : I get the base now, with 8 futur colas and the height is just 13,5 cm! I let it rest under SF300 used for germination/cloning for a few days as it doesn't look so good for now. Lowest fan leaves were kept to help while transplant/topping shock : yellowing and deficiencies everywhere. On the upper floor, my 8 new mates and their leaves look good so it may be OK. 2024/02/05 : My pHmeter was decalibrated, showing about 0.20 to 0.30 under truth. After recalibration, just to be sure, I did a quick flush with pH=6.20 rain water (1 mL/L calmag + 0.5 mL/L tracemix). 2024/02/07 : I sprayed with BoomBoom last night to help with recovering and it looks better. I removed lowest fan leaves and first nodes from the middle. I reshaped blueberry with "Js" to keep each branch apart. It's looking as I wanted and now the height is 12,0 cm. Still under SF300 with DLI = 26 (@20cm / 400 PPFD / 18h).

2024/02/12 : nice growth since a few days. I removed last fan leaves that were present from the start and a few nodes here and there to get the same on each 8 branches. 2024/02/13 : I move the "Js" and reshape it twice a day to keep a flat canopy at about 20 cm from light. It seems OK so I let it in the "nursery", under tiny 33W SF300.

2024/02/17 : nothing special... I keep moving "Js" daily to maintain the shape I want. Maybe a too dark green but I don't see burned tips for the moment. Roots found their way to the bottom of the smartpot, i need to prepare last transplant and final setup.😀 I tried another round of black background pics but I need better flashlight. 2024/02/18 : I should defoliate and I'm thinking about taking a few clones for fun. 2024/02/19 : I removed half of fan leaves in center of canopy and tied blueberry down to 12 cm to open it and get a flat canopy. I'm quite happy with the result. I didnt' remove anything else so I can have all the clones I want and more.. I let it rest this week and I will spray tomorrow morning with BoomBoom from Biotabs. BB is still under SF300 @18cm, DLI from 20 to 30 and PPFD from 300 to 450 : leaves temp is about 25°C so I assume it's OK. 2024/02/20 : 3 tiny spiders spoted. As they made their net all around blueberry without touching it, I let them be : they may catch a few flying pests. 2024/02/22 : second defoliation. I had to tie down young stems on about a half of canopy : they are very late on the other half. I turned the plant 180° and reset every "Js" to 12 cm or less.

2024/02/24 : still developping new branches everywhere... I may cut my clones in about a week : I'm waiting for branches near the main stem with 3 nodes.

2024/02/29 : back after 5 days away from home. A bit of yellowing and deficiencies on the middle. I watered with Orgatrex and sprayed once more with BoomBoom Spray. I must go another 5 days and when I'm back, I'll take clones and set up Blueberry to 5 gal Autopot Smartpot. 2024/03/04 : I managed to come back one day earlier, BB was flushed, top fed and watered with molasses. I removed about 5 yellow leaves, reset "Js" to 12 cm and it was done. 2024/03/07 : burned tips... and a bit of yellowing.

2024/03/11 : I cut 12 clones to play with, chose 9 promising young stems in the middle and removed everything else. I must wait for 2/3 weeks to set up grow space as it will also be my drying space for an ending run, so no final transplant for now. I reset "Js" to obtain a flat canopy and had to let it gain a bit height with 15 cm. I quick flushed since last week nute burns. Lamp is now at 15 cm distance : BB looks OK.

2024/03/16 : removed a couple of leaves, replaced 4 "Js" with safety pins and rubber links. Obviously, BB need more space and stopped its growth : it will have to be patient! 2024/03/18 : lollipopped 16 chosen ones and removed everything else! It will perfectly fit my 4x4 scrog net.😎 I saw deficiencies : I watered with Orgatrex (5 mL/L) and Bactrex (1 g/L) and sprayed with BoomBoom (gave to clones too). Babies are still green and turn toward light. I got 0.5 L pots for them asa I see roots outside pellets, but this is for another diary...

2024/03/29 : since last week, sharing 70*70*160 & sf1000 (100W) with my aghani auto in late flowering. Blueberry was starving so I fed it with B.A.C. Organic program - grow week 3. It worked well and with more light and heat, the height is now 25 cm. I'll try to keep 16 colas, but with autopot system it may become too big for 60*60*120cm tent. I could also let it in 70*70*160cm with new 2024 TS1000 (150W) and create a monster with autopot.😄 My cloning attempt is a disaster : only one survived and is already asymetric with strange fan leaves... I let it be for the moment. 2024/04/03 : I flushed with pH=5.8 plain water and runoff pH=6.0 - EC=380µS/cm before setting it up for its transition, maybe next week. It's a bit leafy and need a cut. 2024/04/04 : took a few shots to check the growth after 5 days.

2024/04/09 : blueberry is alone in the tent now, with my just repaired FC-E3000 (at least until I finish to set up its growspace) and it's growing big! I've seen here (on GD) how a grower exploited the tiny DP90 from secret jardin (90x60x98 cm) with a monster plant at the end and I'll try to follow the same way, with my small tent. Got everything I need, just to lazy to open boxes and install...😁 Still watering with rain water + calmag + trace mix only.

2024/04/12 : I tranplanted blueberry to 4 gal smartpot, following Biotabs for autopot program with coco/perlite (and 10% worms humus). First watering with 0.5L Orgatrex (5mL/L) + Bactrex (1 mg/L), then manual watering with rain water + calmag + trace mix for a week. Roots must spread everywhere before starting autopot system. I finished to set up the new grow space with DF16 system from secret jardin : DF16E150 extractor outside - DF 16 - DF16F150 fliter inside for air extraction and DF16 with DF16LB light baffle to supply fresh air without finishing with seeds everywhere : I can now use 20 cm more height! I changed timers to 12h/12h, with higher day temp (26~28°C) and LED at 30cm (25~31 DLI) : let's start flowering! 2024/04/13 : this morning I tied blueberry to scrog net, this evening it has recovered and looks good. 2024/04/14 : I had to reset lamp as plant height is 28 cm after tying it : It's at 40 cm from canopea now, still 25~31 DLI. 2024/04/15 : sprayed with BoomBoom from Biotabs in the morning... I still play with clones and may start a new diary for them. 2024/04/17 : started Autopot system. 2024/04/18 : everything is nice. Temperature is near perfect (26.3/19.8) and RH isn't so bad for the moment (55%/65%) : with autopot, soil humidity and RH can get high value. Blueberry began its stretch and already took 2 cm. I can see first tiny pistils : it's officially preflowering!😀

2024/04/19 : with second flowering week comes 1L PK Booster solution @10mL/L and that's all! From now, I won't bother measuring temperature, pH or EC solution as it's useless with autopot. Just don't forget water in the tank...😅 Blueberry is stretching : height is now 30 cm. 2024/04/22 : forgot to reset led to DLI 28~35, plant is splendid. Tried to make a quick vid.

2024/04/26 : feeding with 1L Orgatrex&Bactrex (third flowering week from Biotabs' schedule). I bought a space booster kit and a web plant support from Secret Jardin : plant doesn't touch tent and second net will help me guide the colas and avoid defoliating for the moment. Blueberry is stretching a bit yet nothing alarming. It drank about 15L this week! I set LED to 30~38 DLI and adjusted temperatures to 26°C/19°C (I want purple! 😉).

2024/05/05 : I was away for a few days, there are buds everywhere now... gave them a shot of bio PK. The height is 48 cm : LED is 20 cm away but I can move it up. I wait to see if Blueberry can handle it as it is, it shouldn't stretch much more. DLI between 34 and 42. It drank 12.5 L last 5 days. Fan leaves are dark green and the smell is present (lemon for the moment) : last watering with bio PK in two weeks and I shouldn't do anything else until end. I like Autopot+Biotabs!😍

2024/05/12 : nothing special to do this week, but there is yellowing too early... No more height gain, stretch is over. I set DLI to 36~45 and let LED at 20 cm from the tallest cola. RH still about 65% despite deshumidificator... biggest problem (for me) with Autopot system. I hope it will be OK. 2024/05/14 : I saw burned tips, that and the yellowing made me quick flush blueberry with 20 L of rain water at ambient temperature, pH=6.0. I thought I would avoid yellowing this time... 😅 I guess last shot of PK was a bit too much : I'll go for half of it for the next one. As plant was out of its grow space, I checked it and removed a few dead leaves, nothing more to notice. It was not easy to remove and reset plant without breaking anything!

2024/05/18 : gave last shot of bio PK yesterday and let plant do its thing alone until the end. Smell is more present with a subtil "wet dog" touch.😅 I'm glad to see first sugar leaves turning purple! While reseting plant after flush, I may have half-broken one of the main colas, it's still alive for now. The height is 50cm so I had to move up LED : thanks to secret jardin system, I still have room with 30cm between lamp and plant. I cranked up DLI to 38~48 : TS1000 is almost at max. As it is, fan leaves are 27°C and colas 28°C : perfect. Leaves that were yellowing are still yellow but it seems there are no new ones : I don't like to see yellow before late flowering. Maybe 20cm was not enough for higher leaves.

05/27/2024 : ambered trichromes in sight (on leaves, not so much on flowers yet) DLI tops between 40 and 50. Lot of colors from leaves and pistils and powerfull smell! Now in late flowering, plant is maturing nicely.

05/31/2024 : flowering week 8, almost done but BB isn't full yellow yet and there are still too much clear TC on flowers. I may harvest main colas at the end of this week and let the rest for another week... or cut everything and make some bubble hash with lower parts. Anyway, it smells very good now! 😁 06/03/2024 : as top buds were foxtailing, I cut everything that turned purple and got almost 240g wet material (now in dryer for about a week). I reset LED to 30cm from new flat canopy, with DLI 36~45. There are still a lot of buds to come!😍

06/07/2024 : almost done, waiting a few days more to harvest the other half. With direct lighting, lower buds are getting purple too. I vaped a 5 days dried sample : of course it didn't taste good yet but there was a noticeable fruity touch and a powerfull earthy one. I experienced long lasting light stone effect, quite surprising for me! I'll recheck after 2 weeks curing. 06/10/2024 : no camera today so sorry for poor quality pics. I trimmed dried buds and got 43g with a decent amount of kief (from trim then shaked) that turned in 3.2g hash. All this just with top buds...😀 Then I checked BB and saw that every upper buds turned purple so I decided to harvest a second time and let all the green material on the plant for another time. I removed all fan leaves and biggest sugar ones, debudded and got 176g wet buds (part 2) that went to drier.

06/14/2024 : I let it finish untill next week. I trimmed the second part of harvest and got 34g. I managed to press 3.0g hash with kief from trimming.

06/17/2024 : finally cut the rest and got 129g decent buds & 67g tiny/unfinished buds (for bubble-hash). Total wet weight is now 612g, I can hope for 100-150g dry buds. I'm a bit sad after more than 5 months with my blueberry but I kept 6 clones to play with this summer.😎 07/01/2024 : did 2 passes in 220 - 120 - 25 nm and got a few bubble hash, now drying... 07/04/2024 : got 1,8 g with 25 nm and 0.8 g with 120 nm. Total is now 91 g dry buds, 11.2 g pressed hash and 2.6 g bubble hash. Done... 👋
