TommyBVRSA75 Well, it's almost the same as I talked about in the Anaconda strain diary, showing you the first developments of the classic White Widow from Anaconda.
Vigorous and sprouted in less than 36 hours, moved from a wet paper towel to jiffy peat right away, and then to the final pot - a 20-liter airpot.
Lights at 60% dimmer with an output of 160 watts out of a possible 300, and a light cycle of 18 hours until the end of the vegetative stage.
At this moment, very simply, starting with water at 5.8 pH (vegetative reference) and with a ppm rate of 175 as a reference.
So, at the beginning of the season, asking God Jah to keep me safe from all dangers and that there are always good choices and decisions to make for the whole grow.
420 always and a Green Greets to all the brothers....

TommyBVRSA75 Let's see...the neighbor next door.
Pletoric...day 9 of the cycle and of course, growing like crazy. We applied the same "dance" as the Anaconda, a wonderful living soil with mycorrhizae, Trichoderma, and root hormones, and then daily waterings of 1 liter every two days, along with Top Veg and Green Explosion.
It's amazing and easy to work with nutrients that are based on a single application per week, and the plants reacting like crazy.
I haven't applied LST yet, but one noticeable difference is that the initial primary leaves have taken a bit of a toll from the light changes and adapting to the substrate, and this grow reacts differently due to the purple colors it presents.
And something incredible is that it already has a very faint smell, and it just came out of seedling stage a couple of days ago.
Outstanding.
God Jah always with everyone and that Green Greets to the usual buddies.

TommyBVRSA75 Well, in the same line as its sister from the grow shop, Anaconda's White Widow, I must point out that it has suffered a bit (not dramatically) from some stress that has arisen because, and this will serve as a valuable lesson for the beginner grower brothers. In the first weeks - from seedling to vegetative stage, there is a balance point that can sometimes be very easy to surpass. Let me explain, in the seedling phase, the pH must necessarily be between 5.8 and 6, and this is to avoid the risk of a quick blockage, for example, of components that have more difficulty in vertical availability (be it iron, manganese, boron, or zinc), and in my opinion, if you have blockages of these in the initial phases, there will be serious problems later in the grow, such as the formation of buds without density or what is defined as "imbalance" of micro compounds. In my opinion, it's much easier to quickly resolve deficiencies of nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, or calcium than those micro compounds I've mentioned, and this is what happened... with the pH at acidic levels, along with light fluctuations (the dimmer went from 60% to 90% power in ten days) and the pH at initial levels below 6, our White Widow was simply getting blocked in calcium. Plus, since I water with water produced by the dehumidifier - meaning clean water without salts - the calcium levels couldn't meet the needs, resulting in the photos showing brown and uniform spots on its initial primary leaves. If I were new to this, it would be a real drama, but experience... always experience... something like this can be resolved in no time. So take note... raise the pH at least half a point to 6.5, adding some CalMag and Kelp as a bio-inductor, and with good practices and no drama, in a couple of days, the grow won't have any leaves with brown tones on the primary leaves.
To always understand the basic chemistry of these botanical wonders, we must extract information regarding the limits of chemical substance integration in cannabis grows, and it's not by chance that some things are done the way they are. The pH at the beginning is set low, between 5.7 and 6, not because the plant is young and needs it that way. The low pH is the way to initially integrate compounds that will be very important for the future, and as I've told you, correcting substances with more complicated vertical bioavailability like manganese or boron is much more complicated at later stages of the grow. Correcting a deficient calcium integration is one of the easiest things because calcium is a very available mineral, and in substrates, water, or CalMags, it is much easier than, for example, correcting boron or manganese. So, my dear "first trip" grower brothers, always keep in mind that in the vegetative stage, there is plenty of room to sometimes, with awareness, do things that cause harm and stress to the "ladies," but remember that the "ladies" are very adaptable and true champions when it comes to adaptation. This pH variable game, for those of us who have many hours in this, is something we do with an intention towards the result we will ultimately have. Many times, it’s not about gross errors or a lack of understanding of what’s happening in the development of such a wonderful strain, and if an adverse reaction becomes visible in the early moments, instead of resorting to "drastic" maneuvers... it’s about giving it time so that, like any living being, it can adapt, gain strength, and continue its path with great vigor.
God Jah always with everyone, and a Green Greets to the usual companions.

TommyBVRSA75 Let's see, dear brothers.
The White Widow has been restored to its pH balance, ...meaning that while there was a need to provide balance between the initial pH requirement of around 5.8/6 to allow for calcium adjustment without issues, the need to slightly raise the pH, above 6.3, is why the rate with this increase integrates calcium better and doesn't block the grow from micro-nutrients that are essential for the future of the grow...whether it's boron, manganese, zinc, or calcium itself, which despite there being many ways to introduce it into the grow, the bioavailability remains more complex. As I told you, at the beginning of the "return," the "browning" of the fan leaves had to do with the simple formula for integrating calcium, which for example, if it's on a pH line tending towards acidic, ends up not integrating and it becomes as simple as raising the rate to alkaline, meaning a pH between 6.2 and 6.4 and for example, using any calcium source, whether it's Kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum); or CalMag (always try to ensure it's of good quality); or using some very good and effective ingredients...for example, bone meal; ground eggshells (not so good and if there’s any organic part in the shell, it can be a "call" for less thought-of pests and much more, and if you want any advice for the future, it's incredible, one of the best ways to integrate calcium into a "living" system (plants or animals), is for example, to completely dehydrate tomato seeds and with a Moulinex "1,2'3" grinder, make a flour from those seeds...those seeds are rich in one of the best forms of calcium availability, which is designated by calcium oxalate and is very soluble, and the rate of integration in roots occurs much more effectively.
So I'm giving the brothers all the information and photos so you can do your analysis and may God Jah protect us at all times.
420 always and Green Greets to all the brothers....

TommyBVRSA75 Well, of course, and for one of the most solid and incredible strains on the market for almost two decades, the one and only White Widow.
So now we're between vegetative and flowering, especially since we've already switched the cycle from 18/6 to 12/12, and the flowering points are coming in massive quantities, showcasing the structure that the whole grow has demonstrated. It's a superlative in its growing characteristics with a very compact structure, and among the primary leaves, it produces its secondary branching with a large number of internode points that will turn into powerful buds. On top of that, this genetic trait of "filling up with snow," meaning that the buds and sugar leaves are covered in a white dust of cannabinoids and terpenes, truly earns its name, White Widow.
In addition to super production, White Widow has a very special aroma that captures its specific terpenes and also its high THC content with its skunky notes, making its smoke an experience apart from the vast majority of strains that currently fill the seed market. So, White Widow is something very special, and if we add to this strain what is being clearly demonstrated in its grow, it goes through an almost perfect grow without deficiencies or imbalances.
As you remember in its early weeks, due to the low pH of the watering solution, starting from the water in use, there were some reactions of calcium deficiency. With the rise in pH and with the occasional use of some CalMag and some of the most complete nutritional inputs from Top Crop, right now the grow is going at full "speed," and the growth is happening without failures or signs of nutrient limits. As we enter pre-flowering, with the entire structure of secondary branches and internode points already very visible, this White Widow from Anaconda Seeds is one of the best indica hybrids I've been able to grow.
So, asking God Jah for all the protection and for White Widow to come out as an exceptional grow, it will surely be a certainty that in the end, both in production and quality, we will achieve great results.
420 always and a Green Greets to all the brother growers. We'll see you here next week, and almost certainly with a differentiated grow structure loaded with high-quality and powerful buds.

TommyBVRSA75 Let's see... we've already done a very thorough evaluation of the bank sister Anaconda Seeds, the Anaconda... but now it's time to talk about the classic of "classics" White Widow.
The "little widow" is exceptional so far and very similar to its little sister Anaconda.
Now, some differences:
1- The White Widow is already very revealing of the changing nature of its chlorophyll. It has a softer green and is perfectly Indica in character. Very bushy and quite similar to the Anaconda with its short leaves, short node spacing that will have those very rounded buds, and something that ends up being a characteristic of the Sativa from the mountains of Chennai in India, which caught the attention in the landrace of Shantibaba in the mid-80s, where the master prophesied it would be one of the characteristics that would make the "little widow" a turning point for the herb in Dutch coffee shops.
2- I still don't have a clear picture of the structure of White Widow and I ended up mentally designing how the buds of this "lady" will fatten up. It's simple, and knowing her, I'm crossing my fingers for the "snow" that is so typical of this strain to start.
3- If everything goes as it should, we need to fatten them up without the buds being XXL, meaning the White has that, some medium-sized buds, but that "snow" white powder of its resin and each of those medium buds is by nature designed that way. I have doubts that if they were XXL buds and you were to take a large bud of such herb, maybe smoking it like good connoisseurs like us do, taking a whole bud without mixes to give the best path to a good pure joint, and if nature makes them medium, it's so you can smoke one of good size with a buddy without overdoing it. Because if the "widow" comes out as it should, your brain literally jumps out of your ears... don't forget that White Widow is, in my opinion, one of the most fantastic "stones" that a strain of herb can give you. Anyone who has never smoked it can never truly say they have tried "the mother of all herbs," and this strain absolutely deserves the fame it has. If there's a good adjective for it, it's amazing, and by the third puff, it's the biggest "bang" you can experience. I don't know if it's that very soft lemony taste and then that earthy and acrid finish. The "widow" is like a gust of cold air that enters you, leaving your brain feeling anesthetized with so much psychoactivity... it's going from sobriety to the most beautiful and exciting thing that smoke can give you in just two puffs, and then it just keeps climbing... and that's why so many love it and venerate it like no other. The seed market might offer you material with 70% THC, but the "widow" with its 24/25% and the rest of its entourage agents is one of the most exciting herbs of all time...
420 Always, and God Jah, keep the "widow" safe and let it give what the friends from Anaconda Seeds have "promised" me of a "widow" still stabilized by parents and not some terrible backcrosses that are already very hammered and poorly stabilized (some Widow from one of those banks that claim to be "in fashion" ends up producing after the grow, it's terrible, and if on the first puff it tastes like something other than that soft lemony flavor, I already know that it will be sold as the "widow," but it has little or nothing of it...).

TommyBVRSA75 Well, at the most basic level, we've already talked enough about the "ladies" from Anaconda Seeds in the area of photoperiod grows.
Let's see, what can be said about the White Widow... first, in terms of flowering, it takes up more space and it's clear that there has been a phenotypic expression in this hybrid that is not the most common. I mean, instead of an almost pure Indica, there's a lot of sativa in the phenotype I've got.
Then, the White Widow is clearer in its expression of chlorophyll and it's a grow that stands out a lot for its leaf structure, ...I mean, many leaves and small dimensions.
This week, there was a need for a deeper defoliation, as in the lower third, there was a lot of undesirable material like "vampire" branches and some primary leaves that had been dead for some time.
With the "cleaning," energy is channeled to what is desired in the upper part and right now the "little widow" has a lot of space to breathe and a way to project its strength to the higher areas.
A week ago, I was very unsure about what the White Widow could produce, but right now it's very clear that the smaller and narrower buds that were set apart in the internode spaces are starting to stick together and that will generate long buds, but let's wait and see if later the buds turn out very Sativa-like, in the line of lanky and airy, but as I've seen so much in this world and because in three days, I've recorded since the defoliation that the buds halfway up the branch are developing and sticking to others that were at some distance and with that, what started as a "shy" flowering is gaining shape every day. Regarding what will come out in "smoke," producing in large quantities has never been the focus of my philosophy and I know that even "dwarf buds" from the "widow" can knock out an elephant and that's what interests me the most in the end.
420 always and may God Jah cover you with his protection - you and your grows -.

TommyBVRSA75 Well, everything that could be said about how the photodependent plants have developed this week in the Anaconda strain diary has already been said.
Let’s see, something I really like about the White Widow from Anaconda Seeds is the perception that the parent base of the seed that generated this magnificent grow is the incredible genetic stability.
Instead of one of the "widows" that are currently multiplying in the seed market, here it’s noticeable that there’s still a lot of the parent genetics, and that they have been chosen with scientific precision.
The "widow" grows to produce buds in the way I’ve always known her in her dried buds. The short leaves that will form the calyx structure of the buds and the mass of resins and terpenes develop between nodes, filling the spaces in long strides.
In terms of what has happened technically, we’re experiencing indoor temperatures that are simply perfect, and the problem, which occurs in my residence both outdoors and indoors, is the extremely high humidity rate that even with a dehumidifier running 24/7, if we manage to keep the humidity rate just below 80%, that’s already something very good.
420 Always, and may God Jah always protect us from internal and external dangers.

TommyBVRSA75 Just like the "sister" Anaconda, the White Widow is also approaching the end of its cycle in big strides.
It's very clear that the buds have been developing from small primary leaves and the entire structure of pistils; resin points and terpenes, and in this way, the bud structure is composed like this.
It's very visible that in the internodal spaces, the pungent aroma of the "widow" presents itself, an aroma that is very particular and has become one of the classics of the cannabis world since the early 90s.
Just like the "sister" Anaconda, the last weeks will definitely be weeks for loading PK and adding silicon to allow for bud fattening.
Coming up, I’ll be pulling out what I define as the "potassium bomb," the EXPLOTA COGOLLOS from Agrobeta, which is aimed at what will be the last weeks, along with the other finishing product we've already started using, like the Final Boom.
Ideally, in the last three weeks, we can give the grow the conditions for the buds to get "packed."
The "widow" isn't on the same level as the Anaconda in terms of final yield capacity, but the sweetness of the skunk aromas from the Indian Indica is present throughout the line. Don't be confused because it's a smoke that pleases me entirely, but it is, and for those who know, that sweet smell that almost gets you high just from its scent.
With that, I'll leave you the photos, and the yellows are already mostly present, and the PK contributions leave their mark in the brown spots, which don't have much implication regarding the buds.
The White Widow is one of those buds that, in my opinion, shouldn't be given a deep trim... I mean, just enough to remove the excess plant material because an important part of those small primary leaves is loaded with crystals.
I'm going to wait for the last weeks to see a significant evolution regarding the buds gaining a greater amount of resin.
420 always, and may God Jah continue to protect our grow and shield us from external dangers, which you know what they are when we still live in countries with the fascism of persecution against recreational cultivation.

TommyBVRSA75 White Widow and end-of-cycle notes. A lot of PK input and silicon compounds for finishing.
This week I added the last dose of Delta 9, but overall the focus is on PK nutrition for fattening and final explosion in the buds.
The "widow" has very deliberate fluctuations, and in the last few days after the small primary leaves, creating the typical yellow of the end of the cycle, it's now very clear that there is a full internodal space with material heavily loaded with pistils and cannabinoids, and of course, an abundant number of sugar leaves.
It's simple and very sensible, 420 always, and may God Jah always keep us safe. Amen.

TommyBVRSA75 Well, a bit like I had already mentioned in the diary of the "sister" of grow and the bank Anaconda Seeds, the very classic White Widow is also ready in its cycle.
Now it just remains to give it some water, and after today, finish it off with the potassium booster, which is the "Explota Cogollos" from Agrobeta. It doesn't involve giving anyone the finger, but it's very simple for fellow growers to give a finishing boost to your flowers in the last two weeks of the cycle. No other product on the market has an impact with a relative amount of 56% potassium, and what the "Explota Cogollos" does is an instant fattening that leaves the flowers more loaded with resin if possible and brings the trichomes to maturity in a "flash," which is why this product, for me, is the cherry on top in terms of guaranteeing a perfect finish.
So, like with the Anaconda, I leave you with the macro and microscopic aspects of our "widow," and very likely, in a new set of photos next week, they will be ready for harvest.
Meanwhile, the grow is taking just clean water as a daily flush, and the trichomes are maturing to the optimal point. We also look forward to another aspect that I always share with fellow growers with less experience, which is to time the harvest of the grow between the New Moon (when it's hardly visible) and the First Quarter (in an inverted C shape), and the harvest should also take into account the low tide (the tide is low when the moon has more influence over the hemisphere where you are... so you know the best way to cut is to have the water in low areas of the grow like the stem and roots, which facilitates drying.
As always, God Jah is doing everything for us to be protected from things that can harm our grow like pests, mold, and others, and from external dangers, and you know what those are when we live in countries where fascism persecutes growers... and that's why, 420 ALWAYS!!!
A hug, and I hope for your likes, as I'm almost at the 1000 needed to become a Master, and I believe that with my daily entries of 15, I've earned them.

Tom

Harvest - Anaconda Seeds - strain White Widow - 630 grams wet.
Temperature: 26º // Humidity: 64%
Cut on the New Moon day (tending towards Waxing) and during Full Tide.
Magnificent for trimming with ease of removing leaves and maintaining pistils - with an immense amount of resins and terpenes with brief orange and skunk aromas.
@OZDAOgrow, Hi, mate. Not precisely but it needs to be very aware of some issues. For instance for the flowering stage it isn't a very good thing to have this kind of humidity on the begging of cycle. One way to try to over pass the situation is avoiding to have more leafs that are really need. I doesn't say that you have to do extreme defoliation, but more fan leafs that the ones that are necessary and mostly create ways to have a good air flow and light penetration are mandatory to avoid the formation of mold. on the drying process it is mandatory as well to keep a very good air flow 'cause the air flowing on lower areas and mostly on the drying rack. Other mandatory strategy is to turn over the buds at least twice a day on the drying rack. Despite of this high levels of humidity when you know how to manage that with simple strategies, it is really better to have high humidity rates than low and despite of this levels, the temperatures are always pretty good to the grow cycles and probably that factor is more important than the high humidity ranks. Keep that in mind, try always to keep a perfect airflow; not having more fan leafs that probably cover up both the air and light penetration and on the drying process at least three times a day, turn over the buds and put a fan directly pointed to the rack.
