First Legal grow in Ohio, going with Royal Queen Seeds Medusa F1 Auto. Set up is in description but i will give as much detail as i can. Soil is Fox Farms Happy Frog and 20% perlite for seedling stage. I am running 3" coco husk pots for the seedlings which will be directly transported (coco pot and all) into 5gal cloth pots containing bottom 1/3 of Fox Farm Strawberry Fields and 20% #4 perlite for the extra drainage, and the top 2/3 will be a 50/50 mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Happy Frog. I will be incorporating Advanced Nutrients Synthetic line into the grow at some point, but that could change, these are autos and there is plenty of food in the soil i am using but we will see what the girls will need/handle as we go. Feel free to follow and ask questions, also constructive criticism is always welcome. 👻
1 week from germ they got put into there forever homes. 5gal pots with Fox Farm Happy Frog, Ocean Forest, and Strawberry Fields. Hit them with a low dose of nutrients in about 1L of water each to give them a boost, seem to have responded very well.
Girls are doing great, I check them every morning a couple of hours before lights off and they are always praying! Hit them with a slight nutrient increase in this week's watering. Only dilemma i have is they are only requiring 1 watering per week atm, so i decided to water with nutes instead of straight ph water like you are supposed to do every other watering. Once they start demanding water twice a week then i will feed every other watering. Feedback welcome!
Leafs started to droop a bit so it was a sign to water. 9 days since last watering. Uped the nutrients slightly and fed each 2L of water. Will update in a few days.
Girls well into pre-flower. Saw some nute burn from last feeding so backed off and just watered with ph balanced water and small dose of calmag. Small defoil of the bottom fans and small off chutes.
Did a light defoil of some fan leafs but tucked more then I chopped. Even though the tips are yellow I still fed really light dose of bloom nutrients. They were fed only ph balanced water with small dose of calmag all last week. I still want to push nutes to the max without burning them so went really light dose. Watering will be Saturdays (nutrients/feeding) and Wednesdays (water only) from here on out. They are drinking about 3/4 of a gallon of water every 3-4 days.
Girls are stating to stack up. Have been on ph water this week only. Slowly reducing the humidity to stay around 55 max. Will push another light dose of nutrients next watering. They are still drinking 3/4 of a gallon every 3-4 days.
Girls are coming along. Really starting to put on the weight. I believe I am seeing a nitrogen diffencey in some of the leafs. After looking at the N P K break down of what I have been feeding I noticed a lack of N in my feedings. Will be adjusting for the feed in two days and boost the ratio.
Everything is coming together. Two or the girls are definitely more mature and are starting to fade. Tris are still mostly milky and the hairs are staring to be around the 70% mark. Will be keeping a close eye on them and see how many weeks are left. But it's not long.
The fade is real and the girls are starting to swell up. They got there last dose of nutrients 3 days prior to the photos above. They will be flushed with Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish for the next 1-2 weeks. Trichs are all cloudy with a touch of amber so another week or two should put them right in the sweet spot. This was a very easy grow so far and the smell is coming on strong. Plants only stand about 2ft tall but have been very quick, will be about 75 days total around harvest.
The time has come. Last time you see the girls before the chop. Will be flushing with advance nutrients flawless finish. Next update will be the harvest. Overall a really easy grow and the buds are looking and smelling amazing. 3 of the plants looked exactly the same with the other two looking identical to each other. Can't wait to dry and cure!
First legal grow in the books. Couldn't be happier with the results. Made a few minor mistakes here and there but it is all part of the process. Did a light wet trimm then finished with a dry trimm to clean up.I want to thank Royal Queen Seeds for the awesome genetics and great customer support. I have another F1 grow already started. Here too atleast 3 more weeks before I taste test the girls. Thanks everyone!
Yo! Good luck with your grow man. I loved growing this strain. So so nice! If you can spare 5 mins to check some of my diary’s out that would be awesome. 🙌 ✌️
Howdy! I noticed we have the same light and are growing the same strain! Im a couple weeks behind you, yours look great! Can I ask by what week you turned your light up to 100%?
@Happyjack42, I was at 80% on week 3 of Veg, then slowly moved it up to 90% by the end of week 4, i currently have it on 95% at week 5. I probably will keep it at 95% for the rest of the grow. Just a personal preference to not turn to 100%, trying to make the lights life last longer.
Awesome job, looking forward to a smoke report. Mine is at Day 43 and just over 16 inches tall. I really like how short they are and it's been a very enjoyable plant to grow so far.
@SlamFM, For sure man! I sampled a little with weekend, but they still have some time. RH has been 62-63 steady so just letting them do their thing. Will check again in another 2 weeks!
Nice job brother hell yeah she looks beautiful, very fat dense nuggets looks a lot like the titan and milky way f1s i grew,my medusa's were both pretty big plants overall will end up with about 10ozs off the 2 plants ,close to 6ozs off medusa #1 and right around 4ozs off medusa #2 ,i recommend checking out green point seeds autoflowers man the gg4 is the most insane looking bud i have ever seen on a plant especially a plant I actually grew
