In the first week she grows a little crumbly. I think the hard feeding combined with the high light intensity let her look a little bit stressed, but she meets the expectations 💪
She decided to be the ugly duckling, but she is getting bigger than expected. The sythetic nutrients are mighty af 💪😁👍
I tried different positions and feeding technics.
She is getting bigger than i thought 😂
On day 24 she got a new bucket, filled with nutrient solution aaaaaaand one airstone. Now she is standing in airated kratky to try, how it works. 💪👽👍
On day 26 the roots are grown about 5 cm out of the can, so i lowered the level of the solution and switched to the same solution as in the rdwc. She looks a bit weak, because she got drowned a little bit.
On day 27 she got a bucket-update, because she looks a bit pale and weak. The can is now fixed a bit better and the reservoir level can be a bit higher.
She looks a bit weak. I think the solution wasn´t optimal and so i changed it this morning.
She looks a bit weak, because she gets the full Lumatek experience. 2172 µmol/s/m² 😱 and she is doing way better than the most people could imagine, me included.
I raised the ec and changed the way i feed her.
Now i pour the solution into the hole at the stem till i got a fair amount of drain. The drain simply stays in the bucket for the moment she gets thirsty.
As expected, she got grilled by the light, but the symptoms are not really what i expected. She got pale and the leaves felt thick and rubber like.
After getting her out of the hot zone, she recovered pretty good for what i have done to her.
On day 34 my setup got another light. I took the Lumatek out and changed it for a second Mars Hydro TSL 2000.
Now i can use more space in the tent and the light is spreaded way more even than before. I now got about 1000 PPFD at the canopy top and around 800-900 PPFD square. They are running at about 80 % atm. Each side is seperately dimmable and i can set the ankle relatively individually for each plant so i can better react to the different grow heights, which comes automatically with 4 different strains.
She is feeling comfy now in her Joghurt-Becher Dr.Pepper DWC 😆
She looks a bit pale so next solution will be way stronger.
For a soda can she is doing ok i think.
She had a little PH issue, so she turned a bit yellow.
I lowered the PH to 5.7 and raised the EC to 3.0 to give her some help.
I should try to get her out to get a look on the roots, but maybe she will make it just with guessing that everything gets regulated by the nutrient solution.
After moving to a more airated place i can better check her nutrient solution now.
About 2 days later with more attention she got her green back.
Now she can show what she´s got.
Looks a bit wierd with the light but it will do its job i think.
The plant itself is looking healthy and makes no problems at the moment.
She drinks a lot.
For testing purposes i decided to try to flush her early. From now on she´ll get plain water only.
I want to know how early is too early and the circumstances won´t get any better than now i think.
On day 5 of plain water she still get barely some yellow leaves.
She drinks a lot and sometimes she gets completely dry in half of a day.
The lights are set to 25% each.
On day 10 with water only she don´t show any deficiencies. How the duck is this possible in DWC? 😕
The trichomes are "good enough" i think.
I just didn´t cut her today because germany passed the the last major step for legalisation today and it wasn´t that save, that we´ll make it.
So she will not get smoked illegally before she has dried and cured. I cannot believe it...😅
What a fun project and see how big she is. She smells amazing fruity and i´m really excited to sample her.
She got such a hard childhood but she was strong af and made it through all shitty ideas i could imagine.
She is a true hero 💪
The first sample tasted a bit like a blue bubblegum. Hard to tell what it is, but its tasty. Very sweet and smooth.
The buds are fluffy but i think its the result of cutting off the nutrients in flowering phase.
A very nice strain for beginners as well as more experienced growers i think.
Pretty cool little experimental grow 👍. Nice to see your not afraid to try new things when it comes to growing! As it's a great way to learn & better your self as a grower! I'm always trying new training or growing methods I've learnt in theory by putting it in to practise. It's ok to stuff up occasionally because we learn from our mistakes! Cannabis is a very resilient plant, & people would be surprised at some of the abuse they can handle & come back from. Great job gromie 👍🤙👏
@HIAZ_urbanbudfarmer, Thank you very much buddy 🙏
Thats exactly what i think. Its so much fun to try new things and the reward is outstanding.
I got more projects planned for the future. Even more out of the box and hopefully even more spectecular, but we will see 😅
Some ingenious light hanging going on I love how youve wrangled it to work and for how busy your tant/space is its super clean and tidy. Happy flowering
@Hattiwatti, Thanks buddy. They are not as big as expected for this size of plant. The Airated Kratky Method is awesome 😄
I like the simplicity of the setup and i think i will some more excperiments in this direction in future.
