2/1/2024- Pre-Germination Activities Day 1
I have 21 weeks until final photo is do.. I took 3 seeds out of cold storage and will let them get to room temp for the next 48 hours before I go with Glass of water for germination. I have 3 beans because I will start from the very beginning helping ensure I present the best Pheno. This is going to be a fun one.. I am a few days away from being able to clear my tent out for this run.. I have a breeding run in right now and the Seeds are a few days away from being mature enough for me to take down the girls.
Once I get them down I will need to get my tent cleaned up and turned over right away. This is going to be close, I will have to time them to the water and into the tray at the right time.. because I will need to get lighting on them right away.. I have my 2X2 and my light ready incase I need to hold them in the cloning machine if the others are not done in the next few days.. Glad I have options that can stretch me out for a week or 2 to give me a little more time.
2/2/2024- Pre-Germination Activities Day 2
I checked on my breeding run to see how close the seeds are and if the tent is ready for me to clear and clean but alas I am still going to need a few days. I setup the emergency 2X2 and that should give me 2-3 weeks. The plan is to still wait one more day to allow the beans to warm up to room temp and then drop them in Water sometime tomorrow.
Form my Emergency 2X2 I have the following:

2/3/2024- Germination Activities Day 0 - Dropped the Beans in.. Today is 0 day.. Go.. Go .. Go..
2/4/2024- Germination Activities Day 0-1 - Checked in on them this morning and no tap roots yet.. covered them back up and back in to the closet they went. I setup the Root Riots and the Seed tray for them. I Ensured my water that I was soaking the root riots in was PHed to 5.8 and I used RO water.
Afternoon Update: Checked on my Breeders and they are done. I started to harvest them, I took down the one I had reversed with STS and I took down the Black African Magic- All but one bud, I wanted to get some pics of that one today.
I was only able to get 2lbs into the Cannatrol because I had to be very careful to keep the bud from the plant that was treated with the STS separated from the other seeded bud that was pollenated from the plant I reversed.
Cannatrol could have held an additional 2oz of wet but not today. Ideally I need 1 more Cannatrol so I can take an entire Tent, but will figure that out. I put an additional 1.5lbs into the freezer to wait it's turn into the Cannatrol, I would have left it on the plant and taken it in 4 days when the dry cycle gets done but wasn't sure how much 2.2 lbs was equivalent to chopped and wet trimmed.
2/5/2024- Germination Activities Day 0-2 - Checked in on them this morning and 2 of them have very small tap roots out.. one still doesn't going to give them some more time. I will check in on them this evening and see if they are more open if so I will transfer the ones that are ready to their medium and seed tray.
2/6/2024- Planting Day TRUE Germination Day 0- Checked in on them this morning and all 3 of them have tap roots out. I broke the bottom of the tap root for #1 which was the biggest.. pretty sad.. I hope she survives.. I tried to be careful it just snapped off when I was trying to get it in the root riot right. Other than that all three are now in their in-between home in the 2X2 while if finish clearing and cleaning out their forever homes.
2/7/2024- Germination Day 1- Checked in on them and no surprise no sprouts yet. Sprayed the dome to moist it and light spray to the tops of the Root Riots.
2/8/2024- Germination Day 2- #3 is popped and it looks like #2 will be popped by this evening.. I got my second Cannatrol today so now I can take down the rest of the tent and get it into the dry/cure.
2/9/2024- Germination Day 3- #2 is popped as well.. so I have #2 and #3 up and still waiting to see on #1 but that might be a loss since I accidently broke off some of the Tap root when transplanting.
2/10/2024- Germination Day 4- #1 has Popped... We have ignition on all 3.. YAY!! I finished clean up and install of RDWC system, this time was unique the back left buckets 3 inch pipe wasn't seated correctly so I had to clean up about 12 gallons of water all of the floor. I also had two leaks coming from one of the Waterfall return junctions, this is why I do a full pressure test before I put anything in. I will continue to monitor it through tomorrow to ensure that I am good to go and then I will finish setting up the baskets and prepping the water to be ready for the ladies planting day!!!
2/11/2024- Germination Day 5- #1 Of course is going to be my trouble plant.. No matter what If she lives through planting in the system and making it, I think I might not cull her at all regardless, she has been such a problem, makes me wonder if she will be super worth it towards the end.. We will see as we go through this grow, but #1 has a piece of the shell on the leaves,
Other than that I set up a new thing I have been doing since last grow converting my Baskets into Sure plants so I can see exactly where the water is when I plant them and ensure I have the water up high enough that they are able to access it and grow but not too high were they are drowning.
2/12/2024- Germination Day 6- Everything seems to be going good.. will just keep them moist and let the roots grow for a few more days before I transplant to forever home.
2/13/2024 - Germination Day 7- Just keeping them Moist.
2/14/2024 - Germination Day 8 - Planting day.. they are now in the system.. :-)I had to fill the water to the bottom of the basket where I could see water on the bottom rocks and just coming up where I had created my whole/ sure plant.
2/15/2024 - Germination Day 9- Top fed just a little to keep them moist and encourage root growth towards the water. I ensured the PH is right at 5.98-6.02 range.
2/16/2024 - Germination Day 10- Top fed just a little to keep them moist and encourage root growth towards the water.
2/17/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 1- I removed some of the water to see where the roots were only one had roots in the water. However I want to go ahead and get them on Week one Nutes So I am over 50 gallons of water in the system so I mixed the Trio at a 1.0mil per Gallon but restricted it to a top of 50 gallons period. I top fed the other two to keep encouraging root growth. I also finished my drying and curing from my last run and wanted to show what it looks like all bagged up and in the cannatrol.

2/18/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 2- I top fed #1 and #3 since they still don't have roots in the water, I will continue one top feed a day until roots hit water.
2/19/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 3- #3 now has root in the water.. Yay!! I now have #2 and #3 with roots in the water so no top feed for them. I only had to top feed #1 and the only reason I didn't just go ahead and cull her today was I am responsible for breaking her tap root and stunting her, I wasn't careful enough and she was the first to show a good root. In that vain I will carry her a few more day's top feeding but if not root by the end of the week she is getting culled.
2/20/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 4- Today I Ensured the PH is in range, I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 since the roots are still not in the water. I also removed the humidity shields from #2 and #3 today the ladies were touching the sides so they are done with the extra shields..
2/21/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 5- Today Morning: I Ensured the PH is in range, I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 since the roots are still not in the water,
Evening: I decided that the roots of the two are looking great so I am going to drain and bump the Nutes to a full Week 1/ Week 2 Nute base.

2/22/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 6- Today I Ensured the PH was not too high as the system continues to cycle the water and adjust, I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 since the roots are still not in the water,
2/23/2024 - Vegetation Week 1 Day 7- Still have to Top Feed #1 no roots in the water, however she is still progressing nicely slower than her sisters with roots in the water but still going strong.
2/24/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 1- Still have to Top Feed #1 no roots in the water, however she is still progressing so no chopy chop ..
2/25/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 2- Huston we have a problem #2 was limp and had damage when I looked in on it today.. I pulled it out and the Root was going brown the Medium was completely dry and the one strand was just not strong enough to be that dry at the medium.. I cut the bad roots and I top fed the medium we will see who it goes.. I continued to Top feed #1 and Numb er #3 looks like it is still going really strong.. I will keep watching and working with them. I only need one for the Pic so we will see...
2/26/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 3- I don't think #1 or #2 are gonna make it.. It looks Like I might only be running 1 for this competition.. but hey that is what it is in a Pheno hunt you take out the ones that are just the weakest.. So this is gonna be interesting.. I am going to still give them both a few days of top feeding to see if they can recover before I pull them from the system.
2/27/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 4- I just keep watching #1 or #2 we will see.. #1 has a tiny root out the bottom of the basket, I continue to top feed #1 and #2, 1 to 2 times a day to keep the medium wet and see if we can get the roots we need into the water..
2/28/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 5- Today #3 was ready for her first TOP, I Still am not sure about #1 or #2 we will see.. #1 has a tiny root out the bottom of the basket, I continue to top feed #1 and #2, 1 to 2 times a day to keep the medium wet and see if we can get the roots we need into the water..
2/29/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 6- Today #3 is looking amazing!! I am still working with #1 and #2, #2 has two little roots poking out the bottom I cleared some of the Clay gently enough to get a really good look at the root riot and there seems to be some growth there even though a lot of damage showing on the girl, will continue to top feed and work with her and see what we can do. As far as #1 still no roots out of the basket but there is signs of Life, I topped her today and that should kick off root growth as long as I keep top feeding the medium 2 times a day to keep it moist under the lights.
3/-1/2024 - Vegetation Week 2 Day 7- Today #3 is not looking amazing.. she is showing signs of Cal Mag deficiency!! I am still working with #1 and #2, #2 has two little roots poking out the bottom, As far as #1 still no roots out of the basket but there is signs of Life. Overall this plant (Strain) is turning out to be fickle.. LOL!! More water, Longer... .. give me more Cal Mag.. Needy ladies thus far..... I have increased my CAL Mag to 1mil/gal, I decided to Top #1 to see if I can kick off root growth.
3/2/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 1- Today I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 and #2. #1 has 2 roots hanging out of the basket and #2 still has nothing going out so I carefully took out the Clay to see what it looks like down there, Once I looked I decided to take out the sure plant I added to the basket and re-plant closer to the bottom of the basket and tried to lay the roots on the bottom of the basket in hope they will go through to the water.

3/3/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 2- Today I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 and #2. #1 and #2 have roots out the bottom. Not touching the water yet but it is a good feeling to have them have solid roots out the bottom. Looks like all will be saved on this run. A few more days of top feeding to get them solidly in the water and that should be that.. Gonna be a lot smaller than her Sister #3 but at least #3 won't have to rock the rest of the grow by herself..
3/4/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 3- Today I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1. #2 has some good looking roots out the bottom now so I no more top feed.. lets see how she does.. However #1 has a decent amount starting to poke through the bottom so a few more days of Top feeding to let her continue to stretch out. #3 looks like no further CALMag issues So I clipped 2 of the 4 leaves that were showing issues now that I didn't see any progression from the increase.
3/5/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 4- Today I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 roots are still looking good out of the basket but not long enough to hit the water yet. #2 I cleaned up the lower dead leaves, and on #3 I cleared the two bottom leaves that were showing damage from the CalMag Deficiency I was having. All the new leaves are looking great with no Deficiency..
3/6/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 5- Today I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 roots are still looking good out of the basket but not long enough to hit the water yet. #2 and #3 are cooking with Gas and in the Water, just letting them grow.
3/7/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 6- Today I refilled the Humidifiers, I top fed #1 roots are still looking good out of the basket and one of them is now in the water. #2 and #3 are still cooking with Gas and full roots in the water. I cleaned up the bottom of #3 and I also took 2 Tops.
3/8/2024 - Vegetation Week 3 Day 7- Today the Humidifiers were more than half full.. plenty of humidity in the tent. , I didn't' need to top fed #1 there are several roots out of the basket and in the water, I will watch her and see how she is doing but she seems to have stretched over night as her second root hit the water. I took some pics today but am just letting them do their thing today.
3/9/2024 - Vegetation Week 4 Day 1- All roots are solidly in the water and they are all growing nicely. Nothing to do today but to take a photo and let them grow.
3/10/2024 - Vegetation Week 4 Day 2- Raised the PH up a little bit and since they are looking beautiful and growing nicely now I took the lower foliage off #1 and #2, took the lower foliage off #3 as well as took 2 Tops.

3/16/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 1- Water Change Day!!!! This strain I would say at this point and time is definitely a Moderate Grower Strain.. I have had a lot of Internal stems that I had to take that were deep but not going anywhere so have to not be faint about getting in deep and keeping it cleaned up.

3/17/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 2- Was able to do nothing today but enjoy how she is growing.
3/18/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 3- I turned the light up the right level for growth for #3 but #1 and #2 are having slight issues with the light PPFD since they are basically stunted and a week behind. I had to turn it down slightly today to try and find a happy medium.
3/19/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 4- Thought it was an issue with the light but I think it isn't only an issue with the light I am starting to see CALMAG issues showing up.. Had to increase by an additional .25 so I added an additional 9mg to the Res. Will continue to monitor and see how it goes.
3/20/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 5- Cleaned up some of the lower leaves and the new growth looks good and happy to the adjustment of the add to the CALMag.
3/21/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 6- They all look a lot better with the additional CalMag and turning the lights down a little. Back to looking great. I trimmed off some of the lower leaves and ones that were showing the damage from the deficiency.
3/22/2024 - Vegetation Week 5 Day 7- Everything is looking great today, so I Defoliated a little to keep them cleaned up.

4/1/2024 - Vegetation Week 7 Day 3- Did a pretty good trim on the insides and took some of the bigger fan leaves, I left a few of the inside and lower stems, in order to have some good material to take for clones which I will take right before I flip them to flower.
4/2/2024 - Vegetation Week 7 Day 4- Didn't do anything today.. Just watched them grow..
4/3/2024 - Vegetation Week 7 Day 5- They all decided to touch today and I cleaned them up from where they were touching want as much light to get to as much of each plant as possible..
4/4/2024 - Vegetation Week 7 Day 6- #2 still had a few lower leaves that had to go.. other than that just enjoyed how they are looking and getting ready to take clones sometime over the next few weeks, when I decide to flip them to flower.

4/6/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 1- Last week in VEG, They are all looking amazing and no worry about stretch when I flip Next Saturday they are indica and I have more than 50% of distance from the top of the plant to the lights with a little more I can raise the lights if necessary. So going to really just enjoy this last week of VEG, and get my Cloning equipment ready. I will be taking 2 cuts for each this is also a PHENO hunt for HWG and he not only has the prize for the winner but he also has an additional bounty on a cut of the winner. I did have to take some from around the edges to keep them from touching.
4/7/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 2- Didn't do anything today but watch them grow.. They will be getting a really good flip trim and clean up for clone material on Friday/ Saturday.
4/8/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 3- Couldn't even get a picture of the #1 at first too much Foliage throughout.. So I had to clean that up and make sure they all still have some separation before flip.
4/9/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 4- Huston we almost had an issue.. I looked at my Res and she was in desperate need of 10 gallons to get her through until next water change on Saturday. So I added 10 gallons and the Nutes.

4/10/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 5- Had to giver them a huge clean up today I couldn't even see the numbers in the first pic. I am also worried that #1 and #3 really, really are getting huge over the last few days.. starting to think I should have flipped them this past Saturday.. The interesting things is even though this is an Indica Strain, I might have to super crop just to keep them off the lights.

4/11/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 6- Even though Flipping in Two days almost wish I would have gone at Week 7. I am really worried about #3, #1 and #2 are huge and when I put them in flower they are going to stretch out
4/12/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 7- Day of Work.. Lots of Work.. I gave all three a Cloning/Flower cleaning.. all three got cleaned up top Inside and bottom, I took 2 cuts of each to see which one come out on top then I will kill off the other cuts once I have a winner in flower. I clean up this thoroughly before I flip because it reduces the work load on the next major clean up I do on Week 4 of Flower.and they are so much taller that it is going to be a pain in the ass to maintain canopy space for #3, we will see how it goes and adjust as necessary..

Trimmed a lot yesterday took all the crap that was low and inside out.. I took my clones and now it is water change day and light change day. I moved the lights all the way up to their final position, I added a net because I am really worried about the other two just demolishing the runt.. I still want to see how the runt comes out.

4/22/2024 - Flower Week 2 Day 3- They needed some clean up between them.. The runt was getting overcast by the leaves from the bigger two so I had to trim them back to try and give the runt a little space. I like how the bigger two are both pushing for the back corner, I will let them fight it out for that space.. :-)

I am starting to get worried about the height on #3 I might go ahead and add a second net incase I need to Super crop it.. I could be done going into week 3 or I could have another full week of Stretch left.. not sure first time with this strain.
4/27/2024 - Flower Week 3 Day 1- Water Change Day!!!!
Trimmed a lot there was some that was low and inside out growing back as popcorn buds. I also added a second net to Super crop #3 if she needs it.. she is getting close to the lights and I still have this week of stretch to get through.

4/28/2024 - Flower Week 3 Day 2- #1 was just to close to the lights so I had to do Super Crop her. The canopy is now nice and even at the second net. I will keep an eye on the stems over the next week-week and a half and make sure as they come back up they are down far enough to stay off the lights. This plant became a monster....

5/11/2024 - Flower Week 5 Day 1- Water Change Day!!!! I also turned over my other tent so It was ready for the clones.. I put in 2 Clones from #1 and 1 clone from #2 and 1 from #3. While putting my tent back together to get the clones in.. alas after several years my Pump had gone out... I didn't have a backup so I used a backup drain pump as my circulation pump. I have ordered another 400 and it will be here Thursday. I have also switched to Organic Nutes for the Clones.. Lets see how they do...

5/12/2024 - Flower Week 5 Day 2- didn't have to do anything today but enjoy her beauty.. She is getting super frost, Really quick.. I love it!!
5/13/2024 - Flower Week 5 Day 3- just had to make sure the clones are adjusting to the new environment each look like they are getting some fresh green growth.. will keep an eye on them and the environment. Other than that just watching the frost levels go through the roof..
5/14/2024 - Flower Week 5 Day 4- Three branches just kept inching up just a little bit at a time until they got uncomfortably close to the light for me.. so I super cropped them today giving them some separation between the light and the top. The Clones are adjusting great, so I took the damaged leaves from the time in the cloner. She is really coming back with a lot of Leaves.. I will need to do another really good defoliation by end of next week I am thinking.. we will see will continue to monitor them.

6/09/2024 - Flower Week 9 Day 2- Didn't have to do anything but snap so photos.. the clones are looking a lot better the whole FOOP into the RDWC was an experiment gone wrong.. I will keep looking for a DWC/RDWC safe Organic mix that I can use but FOOP appears to not be the solution for me.

I am going to give the clones another shot at Organic but with the floramax series.. I talked to a grower who now uses it exclusively.

6/21/2024 - Flower Week 10 Day 7- GroundHogs Day!!!! The Clones are looking a lot better today. I cleared all the water out of the system and I reset it.. I decide to use Mammoth Silica which is an Acid instead of TPS Silica on them as well as I removed the ORCA and I added Root Drip to sterilize the system. at 1 mil/gal. I am worried that there might be some residual going on from the FOOP experiment.. so Still trying to make sure they fully recover from that.

6/23/2024 - Flower Week 11 Day 2- Back into observation mode.. just making sure she is healthy and turning them Trichomes from Milky to Brown.. Lots of work upfront so I can chill in the back end right up tell harvest.. then the work begins again.. :-)

7/3/2024 - Flower Week 12 Day 5- Took some extensive Trichome pics today, I really had to see if she will be ready for cut on Saturday and I think she will be. Get brown tips for the most part throughout the bud a few spots more milky than i typically like but I think overall she is ready this weekend.. That will leave me 9 days to dry and weigh and get submitted for final pics.. Lots to do in the next 12 days.

7/5/2024- Harvest Day, harvested on Week 12 Day 7..... from the big plant... 2.2lbs wet into the cannatrol for dry 5.6 lbs into the tent to hang dry.. Since this is a competition going to wait to post the close out for weights and all that until after judging, See you all in a few weeks with the close out report..
I loved this grow and I loved the amount of frost that come off of these buds. I also love the THC level of 26.6% that is a great number for a brand new cross strain. Great job to the breeder for this strain. For some reason GD keeps erroring out when I try to update the smoke review.. so Great smoke.. Happy feeling and relaxed.. bit of a berry hit..
