MistaOC It's been more than ten years since my last grow. Back then it was still old school under 600W NDL. I'm curious what the difference is compared to LED. Have fun with my first report.

03.02.2024: Unfortunately, I've already made a mistake. Only three out of four seeds germinated. I have now added the fifth seed. On the next grow I will germinate five directly and continue growing with the best four.

06.02.2024: Not much is happening at the moment. The plants are currently forming roots and growing slowly.
Today I planted the fifth seed in a 0.4L pot.

08.02.2024: The plants are slowly getting bigger and they were watered for the first time after planting.
The pot only weighed 130g and I poured it back to 160g.
The fourth or fifth seed is now germinating!
Now things can continue as planned.

Everything looks good so far. except for the one plant at the front right. she has slight problems. firstly because the fertilizer had been used up. on the other hand because I believe that the PH value in the soil is much too high and therefore the absorption of CalMag is reduced.

Today I received my measuring device to test the PH value in the soil.
The PH value is absolutely within the range of 6.3-6.8 at 19.5 degrees Celsius.
Why the little one on the front right has now become so bright and had a Calmag deficit was probably simply because there was not enough fertilizer. I have now increased from 0.3 to 0.5 per liter.

I now have an EC measuring device with which you can measure the values in the ground.
The value before fertilization was 130ppm.
I adjusted the fertilizer solution to a value of 720ppm with the additions mentioned above.
After watering, the soil had a value of 260 ppm.
According to this, there is far too little fertilizer in the pot.
————I added 4g of bio bloom (greenhouse) per liter of soil at the beginning of the flowering phase and another 1g at the end of the second week of flowering. I didn't think the fertilizer wasn't enough.————

When does the counting actually start? I let the seeds germinate directly in the soil. On the 3rd day, I had 4 seedlings. Is it counted from planting or from the seedling or the first pair of leaves? Or even the first finger leaf? I find a lot of info but no answer to that.

@Weedmatze, counting starts from germination. That's how I learned it at least ten years ago 🤣 whether that's still the case today... for me, it is 🤣 but it doesn't really matter if it's a day or two off. From flowering, it starts counting again (except for Autoflower).

I'm unsure myself about how long I should keep my Vegi going.
Maybe keep the first one extremely short, but I wonder if it's worth it.

@HomeGrow47, I've also had several grows behind me, but that was 10 years ago. With a 600 watt HPS... always way too hot in the tent. Back then, I was using Canna Vera and Flores. Now I'm trying the bio variant. After this run, I might grow some autos. I have no experience with that yet. I'm really curious to see what will happen with you in the coming weeks. I will definitely follow along. I hope we can share our experiences and exchange ideas. I'm open to any suggestions for improvement. I will also stretch my net soon, but they are just soooo small and bushy... I hope they stretch quickly now. Otherwise, I always had problems with height... now it's the exact opposite 🤣 I ordered a pH soil meter today. I suspect my soil is well above 7 pH. Because I noticed too late that my water in the reservoir for the Tropfblumat has risen to 8.2 pH. That's why there's a calmag deficiency on the one in the front right. I'm now watering manually again with pH 6.8 to get that back under control. 😒

This will be a pure indoor grow.
I've consciously decided on a variety that stays small.
The little ones are doing great! I mixed in nutrients on 09.02, and I have to say the girls look very healthy.
Back then, I also used Canna Terra and Flores. Today I'm trying out the organic version from Greenhouse. I'm excited!

I'm curious to see what's going to happen. I think I'll be running a new veg with my 6 little ones for about 3 to 4 weeks because of space.

@HomeGrow47, sounds good. I think that roughly fits in terms of duration. You only have 180cm in height anyway. That can get tight quickly. Although, if you stretch a net and then do some nice HST, it should work. I quickly built four risers for the little ones today so they can get 25cm higher. They are just way too small 🤣 then I have them at about 60cm height and can finally stretch my first net. And I don't have to keep kneeling around to water 🤣

I think I'll use a net, maybe top once and do LST from the start. I think I'll kick them to 45 degrees right away if they allow it.

@Mia_BIOTABS, yeah, do you think so? I'm currently at 85% light intensity with a 40cm distance. The one in the front right has been struggling for weeks. Do you maybe mean the one in the front right? I suspected a Cal Mag deficiency? The others look relatively okay but are slowly turning yellow at the bottom. That's why I added a bit more nutrients. I hope everything goes well in the coming weeks.

After 10 years without growing, I just needed a quick refresher and then I was back in the game. But it’s rarely perfect! No matter how much experience you have. I hope to hit the 1g/watt mark this time around. We'll see 😎

I rated your product 5 stars because it truly deserves it! Bactrex is definitely recommendable. I haven't tested your other products yet, but I definitely will! In my current grow, I used Bactrex again 👍🏻
