Off and running with this strain from Royal Queen Seeds. I had germinated with a paper towel and then planted. I waited and wasn't sure it would take, but noticed that beautiful green dot popping out on day 4 in the soil. I've been checking out other HulkBerry diaries and am excited to get this one going. Nothing much else to report this week. Watering is still minimal and I'm expecting her to start really growing this week. No nutrients or anything special at this point. And we're off and running......
We're at the 2 week mark and this HulkBerry plant is coming along nicely. The growth is starting to pick up and I'm expecting some serious growth in the next 2 weeks. I'm leaving her alone and feeding her only water, which I'll continue to do for the next week. Not much else happening with this plant right now.
Week 3 is in the books and this HulkBerry plant is coming along very nicely! It looks very healthy and is starting to thrive. This upcoming week should see some significant growth as it nears the flowering stage. I'm using FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil, which has all the nutrients the plant needs for another week or two. I'm simply watering with PH-balanced water and letting her do her thing.
Another week in the books and this HulkBerry plant has been coming along nicely. The plant is strong and healthy, and the growth is really starting to pick up. I've been applying LST and have started adding vegetative nutrients. I was out of town this past week and was pleasantly surprised upon my return. I'm really excited for this strain and am looking forward to the next couple of weeks as she transitions into the flowering stage. That's it for this week!
It's day 35 and this HulkBerry plant is transitioning into the flowering stage. She seems very healthy with a beautiful green color throughout. She's drinking more water and I've continued with the vegetative nutrients, but will be switching to flowering nutrients this week. Lots of cola formations developing. I'm excited to see how the next week plays out.
This HulkBerry plant grew out a lot this past week. It shot up to 23" over the past week and has transitioned into the flowering stage. She's taking a little over a liter of water per day and I've started her on the Botanicare Pro Bloom nutrients. She's still stretching out, but I expect the vertical stretch to slow down in another week or two. Many colas have formed and I'm focusing on keeping her fed while letting her do her thing. I'm hoping to see her start fattening up over the next several weeks.
We're well into the flowering stage and this Hulkberry plant continues to flourish. The framework and skeleton of the plant are finishing their development and getting ready to start packing on some weight. She's drinking about 1.25 liters of water a day and I'm feeding her plenty of nutrients as she develops. She has a nice healthy green color and and is really coming together nicely. I'm simply going to keep her watered and fed this upcoming week but otherwise will leave her alone. That's it for the week!
We've hit the 8 week mark with this Hulkberry plant. She's continuing to drink a lot of water and is sucking up the nutrients. It's a very full-bodied plant and is growing at her own slow and steady pace. It's very green and appears extremely healthy. It's essentially on autopilot at this point and I'm doing very little defoliation. I'll stay the course this week and see how the colas continue developing. That's it for this week!
This past week showed a lot of growth. The buds are slowly filling out and (knock on wood) there haven't been any issues to deal with. I've been feeding her nutrients and have noticed the tips of the fan leaves show a bit of nutrient burn, so I've eased up on the nutes slightly. She's drinking about a liter of water a day and is giving off a mild smell, which I'm expecting to become stronger as the remaining weeks progress. Every 3-4 days I'm giving her a light defoliation to help with airflow and light. There's not much else to report so stay tuned for next week's update!
This was a very easy week. All i did was feed and water her. It's been a very easy strain to grow. She's growing at her own relaxed pace and I'm just letting her go. We're at the 10 week mark and I'm guessing it'll be another 4(?) weeks or so until she's ready to come down. She's really filling out nicely. The buds are putting on weight slowly week by week. I took a look at trichomes and they are still young and clear. The smell is not as strong and pungent as other strains I've grown, but it has a nice mellow aroma. I'm guessing the smell will get stronger as the buds begin ripening. We'll see what happens this week.
It was another week of bulking up. All I did was water and feed again this week. The buds are really filling out and I believe it's within 2 weeks of harvest. She looks very healthy and has been a very easy strain to grow. The pistil hairs are slowing changing to to orange and the trichomes are slowly turning cloudy. I'll be checking the trichomes every other day going forward until about 70-90% of these trichomes become cloudy. I'm also starting to reduce the amount of nutrients as it comes closer to harvest. The smell is delicious but not overpowering. That's about it for this week.
We've hit the 12-week mark and I've begun flushing her. She has turned out beautiful and has been such an easy strain to grow. She's filled out tremendously over the past 3 weeks and the buds are looking very ripe. They've put on significant weight as well. I'm going to continue flushing this upcoming week before placing her in the dark with no water for 48 hours. Then I will harvest and begin drying and curing.
I watered her for the last time and will be placing her in the dark tomorrow for 24 hours without water. I'll be taking her down the following day. She really filled out these last few weeks and she looks ready. I've been flushing for the past 10 days.
I took her down on day 92 after 48 hours in darkness with no light, to squeeze out the last of the resin. She was a leafy plant and took a little bit of time to wet trim. I dried for 5 days and placed in mason jars with a 58% Boveda packet to cure for the next month. When it's done curing, I can do the smoke test and get the final dry weight. Stay tuned!
