I've had a lot of trouble with these plants just lately.
As I have been growing in Coco I did not realise that I really needed to add Calcium and Magnesium to their water, as the coco will deprive the plants of these vital nutrients.
However, it is a learning curve and I am really enjoying the science behind it all.
I hope that my experience with this will help a few of you from making the same mistakes.
I looking to put a 20L dehumidifier into my tent (1.2x1.2x2.0)
Is it best outside or inside of the tent?
It also has an ioniser function.
Is it best to turn this on or leave it off also.
I'm having humidity issues.
It's not overly high 65% but I would prefer it to be 50/55%
If you are exhausting the air of the tent outside into the room, then it does not matter if the dehumidifier is in or out. Before getting the dehumidifier, try raising the lights out temperatures that will keep the humidity down. A small heater will be cheaper to buy and operate.
Hi, its true higher Temperatures lower the Humidiy , but then take care everything above 28 degree( and you already have27) is in the " stresszone" .weed likes temps between 20-28 most. Happy growing
dont worry too much about bending. monstercropping i think its called when in flower too. i often bend first then roll the stem between thumb and finger ,crushing it to makr it softer and floppy. it will still get nutes up to it so dont worry. they create knuckles to support weight . i have just done same to a few of my ladies. they recover fine . even if you snapped one by accident , you can tape it up well and still get them to harvest. do it slow and she will bend and relax into the new position ( sounds like wedding night advice ,sorry)
if u squash a stem firmly enough you will hear a crack that does similar job to the rolling. will show you in photos on my next barneys farm journal update as i do one as an example
@Homegrown79, as an 8 week flowering strain ( +1or2 for ripenning and transition week)
we have took in a task. keeping a woman happy for this long is usually unheard of .lol
Will be worth the yield and quality though buddy. keep on doing what it is your doing. great job
@Ganjagrandaddy, yeah mawe, I've managed to get it down to a reasonable percentage.
The leaves are getting quite sticky now.
I think I have about another 30 days in flower, as they are roughly 30 days since the switch.
I hoping for a great yeild.
and they will mate. look into flushing myth before you deny her the food and growth loss potential. go for a slower dry
could make all the diff to her swelling period. I am a firm believer that flushing was to save industrial farms 2 weeks of nutes , which leads to bigger profits overall. Our harvests are massively different to theor needs. Science does not really support flushing, even with all the hype of " agents" to buy. please at least have a read up before taking a action
@Ganjagrandaddy, I recently had to chop a plant only 2 days after feeding her , she was a hermit so danger of pollinating my tent, I didn’t get much as it was 3 weeks early but I was really surprised at how smooth it was and how even the burn was. I honestly think it’s because I didn’t over feed her and so will feed my girls up till last week now to see, so I agree from this one early harvest that it didn’t seem to make any difference to the taste. Except maybe extreme cotton mouth,,, but that could just be the weed lol.
@Ganjagrandaddy, I will definitely have a good read into flushing.
I have seen 2 sides to the theory but more research is needed.
I am still about 25 days from harvest anyway so hopefully get something good.
The Bigger the Plants get, the more HUmidity they transpirate. Is the HUmidity only in your tent=? or into your area so high=? I would place the dehumifidier in the Tent. And if its only in the tent so dampy, give a circulation and a good airflow, maybe its possible to open the tent=? If the Humidity is everywhere so high, keep the tent close and Put the dehumidifier inside.I wont use the ioniation function . dont see any good effects here
@Mrs_Larimar, the humidity is only high in the tent.
I have put the humidifier in the tent and it seems to be doing the job.
I have the tent open slightly and the window open so there's always a good airflow.
Fingers crossed
Happy new year my friend! Your grow is looking fantastic and healthy and I wish you best in this next year growing some amazing plants and yielding yourself large amounts of bud. Cheers!
@Ganjagrandaddy,very good mate, it's a skill I'll get better at.
I didn't go too hard on them this time, but still managed to get a good shape.
Next time I'll start it earlier.
They are hardy plants and come back very, very quickly in fact in hours sometimes.
holy shit you are copying me with all the issues and the strains too. lol have a 4way mainlined peyote critical kicking ass in my current grow. (barneys farm bonanza one) took so much abuse as i learnt rdwc ( coco and nft for years previous, newbie in rdwc.and nearly poisened them for months .lo l bounced back in three weeks to the beast she is now. come take a look fella. great choices and genetics too by the way.
good luck with everyhting! the first sentence made me laugh so hard after switching to this week to check how it's going...
XD
lookin' good there now, keep up the good work!
:)
Goodluck mate, Peyote Critical is one I'm watching out for, the critical linage is solid - I'll follow along. Looks like you'll be in for a happy new year.
