Welcome to a brand new diary. This time i'm growing Gelato #45 from @barneys
15/2 - 20/2
I have placed 1 seed between damp paper towel and placed in Ikea zip bag. After 48 hours it sprouted.
18/2 moved into tent with 50W lights and water only with PH downed.
March 3rd.
The plant is doing wonderful and will be moved into a bigger bucket this week.
I didn't see a point on doing a half week update but she is roughly now 2 weeks.
Getting only water
Wrapped up week 3 of veg this is 10th march. They moved to bigger pot and have automatic water system for now.
I'll be back in España by end of week to see how they did. I'm somewhat concerned but vacation is vacation
I've been away for 10 days and found her super happy when I came back. Gave her a trim and added the scrog net to keep her short. Pix are from yesterday with her little sisters
another amazing week is behind us. the plant was moved into the big tent and will be kept in vegetation state for 2 more weeks.
once completed it will be flowering time.
the tent was used for the previous grow, it got cleaned up and the lights were lowered and set to 200W. as the plant progresses through the life cycle the lights will be increased gradually to 300W
i have defoliated the plant and added the net on top to stop the vertical growth.
She is front and center in the tent taking over half of it. The leafs have a hard stem and the plant is short, stubby and dense. One more week of horizontal growth before I flower her.
3rd week of flowering is done and she stoped growing. Buds are forming and some tricomes as well.
Same feeding plan as before.
I added some ties and cables to keep the plant steady. It's hard to clean her up so I think there will be bunch of larf
Plant looks very healthy and happy wrapping another week. The top parts are green and lush and where the light dosen't penetrate we still see light green.
Week 8 is complete but the plant did not finish the cycle yet since the tricomes are still white not milky. Another week or two are needed to get to the full potential of this.
Esteemed friends, family, and random readers -- just joking no one reads this -- you are just here for the pictures ;-)
I didn't see a point in posting the last flowering week since she had only gotten fatter and was on a diet consistent with water.
She is drying up for 10 days in a controlled environment with 65%RH and 24C. I'm looking for 2 weeks drying period followed by 3-4 weeks of curing.
Stay tuned for the smoke report and final weight.
Lastly thanks to @Barneys for sending these for a review.

Preface
It takes me about two months to write a smoke review. Rather than counting the days, I count the experiences shared with close friends and others. I don't sell or distribute my product; it’s strictly for personal use and documentation in my diaries. These reviews are unbiased and based on feedback from several individuals.
The Grow Cycle
I started by germinating a single seed in a damp paper towel. Within 24 hours, it sprouted and was transferred to a 1L pot. The plant thrived from February 14th until June 16th, when it was harvested, living a healthy and happy life throughout the grow.
The Smoke Review
Most of the consumption was through rolled joints. The smoke is generally smooth, but at times, it can induce a slight choking sensation, making you feel the need to “back off the joint” momentarily. When vaped with the Mighty or Dynavap, the smoke is dense and fills the room, creating a hotbox effect.
A burst of mint, pine, and citrus aromas quickly fills the air, evoking memories of springtime in Austria, driving through forested landscapes toward an unknown destination. Meanwhile, the air conditioner hums at full capacity, struggling to cool the room in a battle against Mother Nature’s warmth.
With a 60% Indica and 40% Sativa blend, the effects are deeply relaxing—perfect for unwinding in the evening with friends, watching a movie, TV show, or just enjoying a chat. Everything seems to work in harmony. However, strenuous activities should be avoided—this strain signals the day’s end, inviting you to savor the evening.
While very social, this strain also helps with concentration on more passive tasks, like writing this review in my office. It’s great for gaming too.
All the strains I grow are nourished with the same nutrients and follow the same process over roughly the same time frame (most of the time). For specific details on feeding quantities and lighting schedules, check the weekly progress updates. With 62% relative humidity, the buds feel sticky to the touch and leave a residue in the grinder. They are exceptionally dense, almost like small, firm fruits.
