Dropped above Strains in water on 24 Feb 2024. Will add Pineapple Express as a clone to the Mother diary at a later date. Plan to permanently Veg these Plants in 1 Gal Pots and transplant them as needed to new soil. Will keep them under a 14hr on, 10hr off Light cycle at about 400ppfd to keep growth under control. Pruning when needed and taking up to 6 Clones from each plant every 6 weeks. 26 Feb Durban Poison (DP), Cafe Racer (CR) both sprouted and Wedding Cake (WC) seems to have cracked her shell but no sprout yet. By evening DP's sprout grew over 1/4", CR grew 1/8", WC sank which s strong indicator it's a junk seed. Planted all about 1/4" deep in 4"x4"x4" container with dome. Medium is presoaked Miracle Gro potting mix with sand additive, B1 RAW vitamins, wollastonite mineral, and mycorrhizae fungi. Placed under 250ppfd full spectrum LED lighting. sprayed inside dome to increase humidity.

1st week down. Day 1 placed in water. Durban Poison (DP) sprouted on day 3 and broke soil on day 4. Café Racer (CR) also sprouted on day 3 and broke soil on day 5. Wedding Cake (WC) never sprouted but broke soil on day 5. Pretty happy with the seeds. Was a little worried about WC because it cracked its shell and then sank in the water before sprouting. I planted it anyway and life found a way to survive. They get a sprits 2 times a day with 6.0 ph due to the medium likes to run closer to 6.9ph. So, I go a little more acidic to bring the ph levels to a happy 6.4ph in the medium. MOMs are living off the seed nutes and thriving. Was under 150ppfd, but once they broke soil placed them under 300ppfd full spec. They receive 600-1200ppm CO2 and maintain temp 77F-80F, RH 80% Domed and sprayed. When CO2 levels drop to 600 is during their night cycle. during day is 900-1200ppm. Having some troubles with my Air filter. The candles I burn for CO2 clog up the Carbon filter. Currently running without one and airing out the little bit of smell that leaks out of my closed loop system. May not need to run an air filter as the smell is not that bad. but I only have 2 flowering plants kicking out the smell so that could change. I'm going to try some gels to place in my duct work to mask the smell and see how that works. It will be some time before I can add Pineapple Express to the other moms. The Pineapple Express is in another grow diary about 3 weeks ahead of these plants and the mom I will introduce to this grow will be a clone from that seed plant. Probably 2 or 3 weeks from now.

Mothers Durban Poison (DP), Café Racer (CR), Wedding Cake (WC) & Pinapple Express (PE): 2 weeks from Germination and they are green and healthy. Surprised at the growth of CR. At first, I thought it was stretching but the stem was strong and thick and fully supported itself. Took dome off because it outgrew it. It didn't seem to like that looking a bit dry and curled leaf. Made a larger dome and see if she perks up. Disappointed at the growth rate of WC. Doesn't seem to want to grow much. As a Indica Dominate I expected it to be short but not this short. Increased lighting to 550ppfd to try to spur some growth. DP has been growing well no problems. Temps have been consistent at 73F-78F, Humidity 80% Domed/56% undomed, CO2 500ppm-650ppm Night cycles, 800ppm-1000ppm Day cycles, watering according to medium dryness consisting of a direct quick spritz followed by soil surface wetting of about 75ml-150ml twice a day. Sometimes when Medium looks saturated I will not water. Watching for Root development to transplant into 1 Gal Pots. Probably a week or 2 from that. I've been switching from Domed during the day and no Dome during the night to acclimate them to Veg Environment and combat any potential mold/mildew.

Mothers: Durban Poison (DP), Café Racer (CR), Wedding Cake (WC) & Pineapple Express (PE). Moms have been growing well all week. Had an algae outbreak in the soil. But fixed it with wiping away the green growth with a damp paper towel then sprinkling cinnamon over the surface. I transplanted them to 1 Gallon Pots and realized the algae had grown along the inside walls of the pots. Hopefully the transplant nullified the problem I removed all dirt that was algae contaminated before the transplant. Placed in new fresh Sohum Soil. Due to the removal of a lot of the soil from algae much of the root systems where exposed. Currently is no transplant shock. DP#1 is showing signs of Nitrogen Burn. I believe this will subside in time as the plant continues to grow and need the nitrogen. Heavy rains outside the grow have caused an increase in humidity but adjusted humidifier to maintain a stable level. Current PPFD is 500-600, Temp ranges are 74F-78F, Humidity has been crazy due to dry and wet spells from the weather outside but managed to keep it between 50%-60% RH. Watered to run off after the transplant to mesh old soil with the new. The new Sohum soil seems to hold water well and provide airy soil environment. Also seems strong in nutrients and future grows should probably wait a full 3-4 weeks before transplanting. Hope to be able to pull a Clone and add Pineapple Express to this Mother Grow soon. 😷

Mothers Durban Poison (DP), Café Racer (CR), Wedding Cake (WC) & Pineapple Express (PE): Pineapple express has been cloned and placed in another tent to root under 150-200 PPFDD. PE was cut at a 45-degree angle and 1" of stem shaved to expose softer inside of stem. Stem was also split. Stem was dipped in honey placed directly in soil in a hole with mycorrhizae sprinkled in. Packed the soil for stability around stem. PE was also domed for increased humidity. Unfortunately, the first critical day my light took a crap and died. First time using the light and was clearly defective. 😠 The light worked at first then died within 12 hours. Good thing I had a backup light to replace it, but I don't know how long it sat in darkness (up to 12 hrs.) 😳 PE looks drooped and in shock from the cloning process, but we shall see. Cafe Racer has some tacoing effects going on due to low humidity. Domed it as well but within 2 days outgrew the 1 Gallon Dome I created. All week-long DP, CR, WC have all been green and growing. Watered to run off and waited for droop to do it again. Currently every 4th day they crave water. Each day they get a foliage spritz of 6.0ph Spring Water. Current PPFD 550-650 and CO2 has been 500-650ppm. RH has been an issue all week, 44-50%. Built a humidifier like device and increased it to a constant 50%. I will be looking to pull a few clones from Wedding Cake next week. As always thanks for stopping by and checking out the grow.

Mothers Durban Poison (DP), Café Racer (CR), Wedding Cake (WC) & Pineapple Express (PE): The mothers are all doing well except PE Clone. Currently it is day 8 of the cloning process and it is flopped flat and no signs of rooting. It is still green but is shriveling up. Hopefully it will bounce back soon. I keep the PE clone in a separate tent at 60% RH, 74F, 180ppfd, and ambient CO2. DP, CR, and WC are growing strong next week I will be looking to take clones from them. DP and CR are drinking heavily watered them 3 times this week to run off. They have had a consistent environment at 80F, 50% RH, and 600ppm CO2. They have enjoyed increased lighting and responded well to 950ppfd leaves get to praying. All waterings are to run off when I see the droop and pot is light in weight. As always thanks for stopping by and checking out the grow.

Mothers Durban Poison (DP), Café Racer (CR), Wedding Cake (WC) & Pineapple Express (PE): This week was disappointing for my PE clones x3 to turn into a mother. This was my first attempt at cloning and my technique was wrong. I cut, shaved the stem, cut again at a 45 angle, & split the end thinking it would help root before placing them into soil. No cloning gel, no underwater water cuts, & over watered them causing all of them to mold up and die. Only 1 actually rooted but full of mold. Threw them all out to contain contamination. DP, CR, & WC all exploding with growth and was able to easily able to take clones from them. Took the following clones: DPx2, CRx2, & WCx1. Could have taken many more. We will see how they take to rooting with Cloning Gel, 45 Angle cut & one side shaved to white all underwater. Placed Mycorrhizae in the premade hole in the soil for a root boost as well. CR mother is drinking its 2-Gal pot dry daily. I can't seem to water it enough. I've also decided to only Perma Veg WC as a mother. I will perpetually clone the other strains instead. It is far riskier to bank on perpetual clones, but it saves room in my tent. I understand Genetics break eventually as well. I'm hoping I'll get 20 generations before this happens. Due to this decision, I will be ending this grow diary. 😟 I'll be Flipping to Flowering DP, CR, & PE ending their Motherhood. 😁 I've prepped them for the Flip with some defoliation and LST. Thanks for following the grow.
