A terrible week unfortunately, I planted the bio degradable pots directly in to the new pots and after 4 days of slow growth, I got impatient and tryed removing them and transplant properly, resulting in a heap of damaged roots, as they had started to grow through, after another 4 days of no growth and a slight deficiency, today there had been a slight improvement, my inpatients has ruined this run, if there’s not a considerable improvement by the end of the week I’ll scrap then, lesson learnt (be patient)
It’s been a slow week, hoping next week she speeds up a little so I can start the first set of her mainlines, made a light adjustment hoping that helps with gro
A much better week, I had nice growth on this one this week, I’ve topped it ready for the mainline, there wasn’t enough on the branching to tie them down and creat the mainline, will do this throughout this week.
This week has been a disaster, unfortunately I broke one side of the mainline, I think I tried training it down far to early, and just after I watered it, resulting it a clean snap, I tried grafting it back together but within the hour she wilted.
I have since grown the other side up and going to see if It’s possible to start a new mainline.
Not sure if it’s possible or even worth doing so I have another AK-47 on stand by which I have started the process.
I’m learning a lot during my current grows you need to be patient, and I’m learning a lot about myself,, I’m not patient.
If you get a chance to look at the disaster and have any input I welcome your advice, is it possible to start a new mainline off of just one side??
Well this has been another nightmare, the northern lights made a comeback and I decided to keep her about and try to carry on mainlining the one side after the snap last week.
All was looking good then I run in to a mag deficiency, after checking my runoff which was coming in at 2800/3000 EC (1.3EC input)
I must off been getting a lock out, not sure as to why yet, they had been flushed now and I foliar sprayed with a calmag spray straight after.
The new growth now looks better how ever the lower leafs which I need to keep for when I top again are fucked and not looking like they will recover, so at this point I feel what ever I do will hinder its growth for at least another week.
I’ll say I again, another hard lesson learnt 🙃
Main lining is a complete learning curve…
I after last week I decided to remove the 4 large but damaged fan leaves, this obviously slowed the growth which I expected, I then ran in to a slight nute burn on the new growth, I’m expecting this was because it was sending all the nutrients to just 4/6 leaves.
Iv lowered the EC to .700 and that seems to have stopped the burn.
I think I need to give these more time to recover so that there is more foliage left on each plant even after toppings.
So with that said this is where they are now, and I think I will leave them like this for another week to fully recover get healthy growth before making my final topping.
A much better week this week, final topping is done, the plants have recovered well, the NL in the fabric pot is a little behind and I can’t spread it out as much as I wanted, but I’m glad it even got this far through, AK is looking dope, I think I’ll let them veg this week then hopefully flip them.
This was the last week of veg, they are both doing well with no signs of stress,
It’s been a difficult learning curve to even get this far, let’s see what disasters I will face in flower
Both main-lines are doing well, the AK-47 is stretching so much it’s stretching wide and high, I’ve been pinching and twisting each stem to try strengthen each one but I think it will need to install a trellis or a cage to support it as we get more in to flower, the NL is going well a lot more compact and a heap small but nothing I wasn’t expecting due to my mistakes

Well the AK is a stretcher, I quite wasn’t expecting it to be honest, and if I had more knowledge on different cultivars and there traits, I would of probably tried a proper scrog, not a main-line,, the Norther lights is tiny and not really budding, I have a few pistols but really not much going on there, I might leave her in the garden and do it thing as I don’t have to much room for her, I put a new inline vent in to help vent the veg room.
