Week 1 showed extremely fast growth. We are using the following setup currently. Veg box 1'x2'x3' with T5s and T5 LED Grow lights. Approximate starter wattage of about 100W. Plants will be relocated into the proper tent next week with a 400W Mars Hydro. This will be replaced with a Phlizon 1500w unit the following week, and the Mars will go into the Veg box. Grow tent is 2x3x5.5 Using 5gal buckets in a DTW system with GH Neuts.

Its starting to look like a marijuana plant more and more every day. Purple Kush Auto is doing very well. Roots are looking really nice. This week I will be working on making sure I have both Tempterature and Hudity better under control. I have found that that replacing the exhaust system has lowered temperatures nicely, but it also seems to make it harder to keep humidy up.

Necrotic Leaves caused by Calclium defficiencies. Should they be removed or should they be left on. I removed them from my plant. It appears to have been caused by a PH spike while I was away for 2 days. Plant seems to be recovering, but I removed the leaves yesterday. Thanks.

So..my perspective on when i had leaves that got damaged, I'd evaluate each leaf and if it still had some areas that still appeared healthy i would try and let them ride it out. But if the damage is so severe then were facing the leaf not being able to perform its basic photosynthetic properties, then i would remove. However a leaf thats only partially damaged (spots, etc) the plant can still pull some nutrients and positive plant products from that leaf before it completely dies out. I always see my leaves as photosynthetic real estate and the more available area, the better. (Well up until flowering defoliation time) I hope the leaf damage stops here and doesn't continue to affect others. Keep up the fight! ✌️🍀

So we had a rough start at the beginning of the week. 2 days after I did her nute change, I left town for 2 days, and during this period, PH spiked. This is not a common occurance for me so was completely unexpected. Because of this, we experienced some extensive damage to some old growth leaves. The damage has slowed greatly at this point, and she still seems to be growing in height. No damage to any leaves near the buds, just the lower old growth ones. As such, I remved them when they were mostly yellow and damaged. On the Plus side, we have gotten temperatures well into the green zone for the tent. This was accomplished by installing my proper fan that I still had in the box. I always felt it was too powerful, and it yet may be, but right now, its keeping air flowing and temperature under control. Humidity has also been extensively corrected this week with the installation of as humidifier. Until the new ligh arrived, I had no clue my humidity was slow low ( it came with a monitor ). I have gotten it up from its 18% average to 36%+ which is a great improvement. I may never see 50% in this tent, but I am much happier now. Day 24 - Damn this calcium? deff. Some of the oldest biggest leaves seem to be taking the brunt of the hit. PH @ 5.85, Tent Temp @ ~27c, Humidity @ 18%, PPM @ 400 Day 25 - Leaves are showing less neut burn at this point, but still occurring. Hopefully the fixed PH resolves this. PH @ 5.75, Tent Temp @ ~26c, Humidity @ 35%, PPM @ 380 Day 26 - Removed 4 lower leaves that appear completely dead from what I beleive to be Calcium Deff. PH Holding at 5.75, Tent Temp @ ~25c, Humidity @ 35%, PPM @ 330 Day 27 - Plant did not seem stunted by the removal of those 4 leaves. Minor deff still showing, but very little comparitivley. PH @ 5.75, Tent Temp @ ~24c, Humidity @ 36%, PPM @ 270 Day 28 - Plant is doing well. 8.5" tall, getting nice and bushy. Started a pretty odour. PH @ 5.70, Tent Temp @ ~24c, Humidity @ 33%, PPM @ 250. Humidity dropped a bit as the humidifier glitched.

Pretty standard/quiet week. Shes drinking a ton. Having to add almost 2/3 gal PER day. Love it. Top crown is growing like crazy. Previous nutrient difficiencies are much less noticable, and PH and Temp seem to be holding much better this week. I have been noticing that she is getting a bit squished in the tent. I may have to review the setup and look for something a bit bigger. Currently using a 3'x20" tent. May go 3x5?

Week 7 Updates. Instead of the previous day by day, I will give a an overview of the week. Parly due to me being gone a few days as well. Height growth is finally slowing. Hopefully done. Her big main crown is growing nicely. Filling out in width and density. The smell is becomeing more noticable when I hav ethe tent open. Thankfully the carbon filter is doing the trick. She is drinking about 1/2 gal of water a day, meaning usually mid week I am doing an extra bucket change. No difference in neuts in the 2nd bucket, just a complete reset. I tried having a 2nd bucket ready to top the first up with, but that caused PH issues. May need to look into a resevoir system in the future, at least if I need to go away for more than 2 days. It is official, my tent is too small for this lady. Its wide enough, just not deep enough, and she is getting a bit squished in. Looking into alternatives before the next plant is to this stage.

This has been an excellent week for bud growth, and she has finally started slowing down on the upward growth, which is good because I cannot raise the lights any higher. Halfway through the week I did a full bucket swap. Same neutrients were used, however I wanted to make sure she had enough to get through the week. The week actually ended one day early to adjust for the harvest schedule. As per what I have read, she is 70 days from seed to harvest, and I did not take into account the 31days in Oct. As such, she is now 14 days from harvest. Late bloom stage this week as well as her midweek bucket change, and next week its Flush time. She has a really nice smell if you touch her buds, and is Very sticky. Up close, I can smell her, but the fans may be overpowering as it is not as intense as when contact has been made. This lady really needs a larger tent, but that is not an option at this time. Properly, she should be in at least a 2.5 x 2.5 area to allow her to spread her wings and allow sufficient light to the lower nodes. The light I have seems to be getting pretty deep in, but I cant blame it for not getting all the way. Maybe down the road I can get a 2.5 x 5.0 or 3x5.

Well, everything appears to be going pretty well. She has stopped growing in height, and the buds are filling out fabulously. her main cola is just gorgeous. I can easily hide a bottle of neuts behind it now. And tons of smaller, but nice tight colas as well. Her next week begins her flush. According to her genetics, she is 70 days from seed to harvest, and that is only 8 days away. I started germination shortly after midnight on the 1st of oct, and we had taproot within 18hrs. Her Trichromes are starting to become milky, but definately no ambers yet. Have not been able to find much info on other people whom have grown her so it will be a learning experience. Also according to what little I have been able to find, I should be happy with an ounce to an ounce and a half. I dont know why, but I get the feeling I am getting a bit more than that. Fingers crossed. Could just be my lack of knowledge saying that.

So, this is my flushing week. Once this is over, harvest will begin. I have a lot of mixed emotions with Harvest coming up. On the one hand, I have put 70 long days into growing this beauty. It will be hard to see her go. On the other hand, this is also an Autoflower, and I must remember, they have a set start and end date. As such, when its her time, its her time. PH has been extremely easy to manage this week when just working with the florakleen. Nice simple product. Buds have a nice firmness to them. Not rock solid, but hopefully curing will help some out nicely. My fingers are very sticky if I happen to touch the plant anywhere. Trichomes start to go nice and cloudy, or at least to my eyes, late last week, and finding nothing on her strain to tell me what to expect amber wise, I am going to harvest as scheduled. Maybe on the next one, and there will be more of this strain in the future.

This has been a wonderful strain to grow, and I will grow it again in the near future. I still have 4 more seeds for her waiting, so I will have a chance to play and try some different stuff in the future. This was a long 70 days from start to finnish. Not really compared to photoperiod strains, but any waiting is waiting to long for me. But I think it was worth it. Wet weight was over a pound. It air dried for approximately 3 days before being put into mason jars for the final curing stage. End weight was 97 grams including any larf weed. Simple plant to grow, just be forwarned she is a wide plant, not a tall plant. a 3x3 tent is recommended to give her the room to spread her limbs. She will produce 1 main cola and easily a dozen nice secondary colas if left completely alone. This has been a fin grow, and I have enjoyed posting about it here on Grow Diaries. I already have a 2nd diary going, and a 3rd will be starting next week. Lemon Skunk Auto is the current one and Blueberry Auto will be the next one. I am attempting to cycle them off every 30 to 45 days if possible. So far, so good. ( 1 plant in, really doesnt count, but... ) Can wait to see what lays ahead for new strains and products. And Appologies for the not so hot trim job. Only third time doing it, and not working with the best tools. This is one area I want to work hard at improving at. I may have to invest in a bud trimmer bowl down the road.00
