Seed put directly into dirt 1/2” down. Saturated soil with pH RO water to 6.2. Applied humid dome and kept at 75 degrees. Seed germinated in 48 hours. In clear solo cup so I can see root formation, kept inside a red solo cup to prevent light from hitting roots when they grow.
Installed new Vipar LED light. Watered with pH 6.2 RO water with General Hydroponics Flora Grow, CalMagic and Great White. 1/2 cup. I have a fan blowing on the babies to strengthen up the stem.
I use clear cups to see when the roots are hitting the side wall so I know when to transplant. (Cups are inside another dark cup so no light hits the root zone) They were pretty well rooted up by day 9 and I was able to transplant into my 5 gallon AC Infinity Fabric Pot.
Still going super light on the nutrient mix because the soil is mixed well with additives. When I transplanted I was sure to hit the root zone throughly with Mykos Mycorrhizae Granular and Great White.
Soil mix:
25% Fox Farm Happy Frog
25% Worm Castings
25% Fox Farm Ocean Forest
25% Peralite
1/4 cup of Mykos Mycorrhizae Granular mixed into soil.
This little plant is now 100% into this soil blend and hopefully starts to explode! That’s why I’m going so light on my feedings.
The third week has been an explosion of growth. The last two days, (day 20-21) have been growing like crazy. Excited to see what happens in the following week with growth vs the plant getting ready to flower. I’m thinking I will see pistols any day now.
LST has been a great success. Pulled plant down at third node. Took the training very will and was fully rebounded by the next day.
Second round of LST I was a little rough and broke off the largest fan lead trying to open her up to get another spike in. Currently she has three stakes in pulling her down and directing a stem in the opposite direction. I think that in the next few days I will be applying around 3-4 more stakes pulling more of her nodes apart.
I did a very very light nutrient fertilizer this week because I feel like she is starting to get all the nutrients from the soil. The fertilizer was essentially all CalMag, mykos, great white and humic and fulvic acids. Her color is great and growth is really taking off.
Next week will be a nice feed of black strap molasses to feed the microbes.
PAR at the top is 430
Week four and they are taking off like no other. Pre flower pistols have shown up so I switched to a Bloom Fertilizer and increased light intensity to roughly 600 PPFD on the schedule 18/6.
Branches are growing like crazy and the distance between nodes is very tight. I wish my first pull down at node 3 I put in a counter pull on the stem because right now she has a horrible lean when I could have went up a few inches to pull opposite to keep it from being so low to the soil.
I think 80% of my LST is done at this point and it will be mostly defoliation from here on out. I will have to bring down branches as they get higher than the rest of the canopy.
I think the soil blend has finally kicked in full blast and all the organic fertilizer and worm casings are pushing this girl into overdrive.
Every day is massive growth. Can’t wait to see the bud formation.
What an explosion in growth for week 5. Every day this plant is growing like crazy.
Had to trim up some lower foliage to allow better airflow. Tied down some more branches to even the canopy especially the main stem.
Rubbing the stem gives an amazing smell and can’t wait till it matures fully. Looking like this plant will be a great yield of everything keeps rocking like it has.
I’m feeding a worm castings compost tea spiked with Cultured Biologix EZ Tea Bloom to feed the microbes in the soil that are essential for trichome production. Also started feeding silicon to strengthen the stems and Trichomes.
Week 6 is going to be nuts with growth I can already tell.
Week 6 has come and gone. It’s safe to say that this plant is done stretching. Quite a growth spurt from week 4 till now. Time to pack on the buds.
Buds are really developing this week. Looking like they are already turning purple. Lots of frost starting in just the second week of flower which makes me very happy and excited to see what she can do in the coming weeks.
This plant is sucking up the water now, I’m having to water 1.25 gallons in my 5 gallon fabric pot every 3 days. I’ve defoliated quite a bit but I think one more round will be needed this week. She has had ZERO signs of any nutrient issues thus far so I’m hitting her with 2.2EC on the next water.
I’m very happy with the plant growth, although I could have tied down the two taller branches a little better. The crazy thing is they are the second branch on the plant so they started all the way at the bottom. Gotta love LST. It’s looking like I’ll have 10-12 main branches producing well.
Looks of frost developing and loads of purple showing. Starting to pack on the mass. Been drinking up 1.2 gallons of water every 2 days now.
Major defoliation this week to trim back all the extra leaves. Compost tea was made and added Cultured Biologix EZ Tea Bloom to it.
This plant has had zero issues this far and is really trucking along.
This plant is really starting to pack on the weight now. Buds are getting dense and absolutely covered in frost. The smell is phenomenal and very very strong now.
I had to take out a few fan leaves that started to cover up some bud. Doesn’t look like this one will be too hard to trim after the dry.
Light is sitting around 950 PPFD so she is getting absolutely blasted to the max without adding in CO2. No signs of stress ever in this plant.
I’m guessing roughly 1-2 weeks before she gets cut. Will start checking at the end of this week.
Next feed will be just CalMag and Silica.
9 weeks into this grow. Packing on the mass for sure. Main buds are the size of my hand. The smell hits you hard and is very very strong now.
Very happy with the ease of this plant. Still have had no issues whatsoever.
I think the plan is to harvest this weekend at 10 weeks total.
Well I thought for sure I was going to harvest a few days ago. Looks like it’s going to be one more week.
Only getting pH water at this point and no nutrients. Starting to get a little color shift in the leaves but nothing crazy. Bud is dense and smells absolutely amazing. Slight bit of a Fox trail going on but not bad at all. Turns out I was very lazy and never raised my light up for 3 weeks and they were getting 1,000+ PAR at the tops for 18hrs a day.
A few more days till she gets cut.
This plant was amazing from start to finish.
I will update a final comment soon as well as final weigh and a review of the smoke once sent out to a group of testers.
