Topped each and took off four of the largest leaves from the bottom - I am going to flip them on around May 1. Each recovered incredibly good from the topping on Tuesday.
Topped these guys last Friday and defoliated- had to defoliate again just to make room - flipped the lights on Tuesday. Still looking good. Also noticed the PH of the coco had dropped too 5.8 as it ran - off. Will check again next watering.. Time to leave them alone and see how the next 10 weeks or so go.
It's warm inside as the weather got unseasonal last week driving up day and nighttime temps forcing me to keep the tents open off and on to keep temps down. Temps dropped dramatically last night so, hopefully the temps in the tent will stabilize. The Bubba Kush plant has me wishing I had grown him alone. The root twisted breaking symmetry and I have bud sites all over the place and I never topped. I just had to defoliate once to keep it straight - the rest were topped a little over a week 1/2 ago - a few days before I flipped the the light schedule.
These guys seem to have stopped growing and stretching. The P.S. all look so uniform and make a beautiful low canopy (as opposed to my other grow, where the children continue to stretch). Just trying to keep my patience and ride it out with little to know error (see my other grow again, missed watering by a day and they get thirsty). I have went back to redo the timing of when I flipped to 12/12 and wanted to ensure I had the weeks correct.
I have essentially stopped doing more than making sure they are watered, fed, and healthy. Both sets of plants look fantastic and I need to practice my patience and let things happen. I left a door open last week through the night with a light on and was concerned but it seems the girls weathered the mishap. Some of the leaves are. a little light on the Bubba Kush, but it's uniform and I check each plant each day.
The only thing I do a little different right now is that I remove the plants from the tent to water every third day or so and take a good look at each plant.
