Trainwreck Auto Veg Tent Spring Ganja Farmer Seeds
I was fortunate enough to receive some nice-looking seeds from Ganja Farmer Seeds. Thank you! I opted for more photoperiod stuff but I choose some autos that I can run in between my photoperiod runs. I filled the 5-gallon pots with a mix of veg/seed start mix on the top and bloom mix on the bottom. The only difference is that I substituted 3 cups of the Fox Farm Happy Frog for the Gia Green Power Bloom. Trainwreck should not disappoint and excited to seed how it turns out.
Soaked overnight for about a day then directly sowed into 5-gallon fabric pots with the veg soil mix I posted a picture of the ratios i used if you can read it. I have my soil mix kind of mapped out on my other grow diaries but I feel like everyone kind of has their own things they like when making their growing medium. Decided to make my own bio/char this time as i had some hardwood charcoal and made a regular batch of boogie brew to charge it. Then followed the next few days with some liquid kelp and Buddha bloom. I sowed them last Saturday and thought I wasn't going to get some to sprout as it got very cold all of a sudden and my tents got down to the low 60s at night they almost took the whole week to sprout but eventually all the seeds for this round came up and are looking perfectly healthy and ready for life.
Looking good so far, and Growing pretty quick. I inoculated the soil with compost tea. Noticed a slight leaf curl maybe from too much water. I eill go easy next time
Was away unexpectedly for 3 days this week. I didn't have much time to prepare the plants and watered them all before i left. I dimmed the lights and turned the fans down some too. All seemed to do the trick. Luckily they all looked better than when I left them. The mom plants started to take over the light and a few of the new seedling look slightly stunted from it. I'm not to worried though they should bounce back fine. Part of it seems to be just the genetics as well. Seedlings got a light dose of liquid kelp and a tiny amount of residual bloom feed from watering my big plants.
The wreck is looking amazing. I'm glad that she is putting on the good new growth and bushing out before starting to flower. Should be a nice yield from her considering. Excited to see how she does this next week. Plant on just letting her grow her natural shape. May remove a few lower branches for airflow but thats it
The wreck started to flower this week! Was hoping she would maybe veg one more week but thats okay. She has a nice thick stem and nice robust leaves. Getting fairly tall too. Noticed the tips looked "burned" but is actually the white part of the underside showing for some reason the very tips of the leaves are twisted when the first emerge from the new node. Feeding light dose of liquid kelp and cal-mag ever other watering.and gave one watering with buddha bloom today. Taking about a gallon every 2-3 days.
Buds are developing nicely. Cleaned up the veg tent and cut back my mom plants and made more space for for auto-flowers under the 400w light. Gave all my plants some of my morel spore slurry. Also top dressed woth some dry amendments mixed into some worm castings and potting mix.
Trainwreck is getting big and the buds are in full development. Shes starting to eat up some of the lower leaves already so I will be feeding steady dose of buddha bloom these next few weeks. I removed some of the dead stuff and top dressed with some of my homemade worm castings.
Trainwreck flowers are stacking rapidly, and from the looks of it the top colas are going to fill out to be quite sizable and dense. Only signs of trichome production but I expect her to be looking frosty by the end of the week. Been feeding the same and also got some compost tea this week. Shes eating up some of the leaves down low and plucking them off as they are depleted and are basically falling off already. The only training she has had was a few of the old fan leaves removes right at the base of the trunk near soil level.
With the other plants out of the way the trainwreck has a whole 4x4 section to herself to finish out flowering. It looks like she has 2 weeks at least. This last week shes starting to bulk up and fill in between the nodes. Some hairs are changing color most are still white. Leaf fade is starting to work its way up the plant.I watered the veg tent to many times this week as they were liking the water but the fungus gnats came back so i let them all dry down and the autos didn't like it and got a little crispy. Dialed my humidity down and going to disinfect the tent and add 2 more ac infinity fans i had from them replacing my old ones. Humidity was pretty good in winter and spring but its going to start getting hard to control so i need to get as much circulation in the tents i can deliver. Especially with growing autos in the veg/mom tent.
She still going! Shes kinda big too. One more week and she will be ready to harvest. Covered in trichomes and some decent size colas. She smells kinda sweet and skunky.
Last week on this trainwreck. She started fading quick at the end. Noticed bud growth stop this week and most of the hairs are orange. Shes got some pretty long buds on her. Looking like a pretty decent yield. She didn't smell too much while growing but once i got her cut down in hanging in the studio she was kind of reeking. Mostly sweet skunky vibe which is not what i was expecting, it is nice and will fit in well with the other flavors of buds i have right now. Roots completely filled the 5 gallon pot. Looks like it will be an easy trim as well. Will update in a few weeks with the harvest.
This was an awesome plant! Got super big with minimal effort and produced a great harvest of frosty stoney buds! I would like to try a regular version of this so I can keep it,it is that good. Its effects are potent and long-lasting. Mine had a beautiful fade at the end and trimming was not hard.
Dried for 10 days by itself before I started trimming. Hovered around 60 percent humidity and 68 degrees. Didn't get stem snap but If i waited any longer they would have been dried too much. When bucking down i could tell the stems were dryer than some of my other grows but no snap so that does not seem like it should be main thing to judge how ready they are. Took around 3 hours to trim. The scissors seem to get gunked up faster than normal. Got 128 grams total and had to clean all 4 scissors 4 times. One bong rip had me toasted.haha I wasn't expecting to get so that stoned from it right away. Its smell and flavor is hard to describe. It's sweet and piny with slight skunk. Didn't have much trim or larf but man did i get alot of keif from it! I just put my trim bin in the fridge overnight and sift it and drop it down a few times and its like a snowstorm of kief. Maybe an eights worth. I kind of want to start making traditional hash even though i have the rosin press. It seems like from just the weight of itself my dry sift almost turns in to hash by itself. Very stoked in this harvest I really like the stone from this. Kind of trippy and some body high almost a 50/50 balance.
