Purple Devil Auto Veg Tent Spring Ganja Farmer Seeds
I was fortunate enough to receive some nice looking seeds from Ganja Farmer Seed's. Thank you! I opted for more photoperiod stuff but I choose some autos that I can run in between my photoperiod runs. I filled the 5 gallon pots with a mix of veg/seed start mix on the top and bloom mix on the bottom. The only difference is that I substituted 3 cups of the Fox Farm Happy Frog for the Gia Green Power Bloom.
Soaked overnight for about a day then directly sowed into 5-gallon fabric pots with the veg soil mix I posted a picture of the ratios i used if you can read it. I have my soil mix kind of mapped out on my other grow diaries but I feel like everyone kind of has their own things they like when making their growing medium. Decided to make my own bio/char this time as i had some hardwood charcoal and made a regular batch of boogie brew to charge it. Then followed the next few days with some liquid kelp and Buddha bloom. I sowed them last Saturday and thought I wasn't going to get some to sprout as it got very cold all of a sudden and my tents got down to the low 60s at night they almost took the whole week to sprout but eventually all the seeds for this round came up and are looking perfectly healthy and ready for life.
Shes starting off well. The second set of leaves are kind of bug. It looks like she may self top we will see. I inoculated the soil with some compost tea.
Was away unexpectedly for 3 days this week. I didn't have much time to prepare the plants and watered them all before i left. I dimmed the lights and turned the fans down some too. All seemed to do the trick. Luckily they all looked better than when I left them. The mom plants started to take over the light and a few of the new seedling look slightly stunted from it. I'm not to worried though they should bounce back fine. Part of it seems to be just the genetics as well. Seedlings got a light dose of liquid kelp and a tiny amount of residual bloom feed from watering my big plants.
Purple Devil has a weird left mutation I've never seen. I'm a little worried for her but we will she how she grows the next few weeks. My liberty started iff kinda of the same way and ended up being my favorite plant so J still have some faith in her
She's quite the mutant little lady. Interested to see what she produces. It looks like she may already be flowering it is kind of hard to tell. Otherwise healthy and growing okay.
Well she started to flower a lot sooner than i was hoping. Also she is pretty ruderalis dominant l'm Going to finish growing her out and see what I can learn from her but I am bot expecting to get much if it does turn out good.
What cool looking buds with the purple striping in the leaves darkening as she grows. This is my first purple plant. Its too bad that i wont have too much to smoke from her but will maybe be some high quality despite the runt ish appearance. Fingers crossed! She haven't been drinking much or need much attention at all just been letting her enjoy life.
She smells fantastic, sort if tropical and hazy. Colors on her are very intresting as well. Not to big or many buds on her but she will be some good smoke it looks like.
Shes looking to be finished very soon. She is covered in trichomes and her buds growth is slowing down and the white hairs are slowly changing to orange. She does not have much weight to her but the buds smell really good and look to be of high quality despite being a bit of a mutant.
Shes been getting little feed in the water but mostly water at this point and i did give a little of the compost tea i brewed just to keep the soil going. I wanted to harvest her this week but I have only one more week on my other plants so decided to just let her go one more week. She has gotten slightly plumper but i don't expect her to put on much weight this week. She has a sweet hazy smell with some earthiness, she shows no signs of fading like my other plants and still very green. I guess maybe because she never really grew too much foliage and theirs perhaps a lot more nutrients left in the soil. The buds are a little weird looking but beautuful non the less and frost. Should be some nice extra buds to smoke in between the other stuff I have.
She made it to harvest this week. I was waiting to have my dry tents set up for my other stuff to chop her down she could have been cut down last week but I did notice a little trichome development the last week and she finished off very nice. She turned out to be a nice regular sized plant. She's got airy foxtail buds but they are very pretty. Kinds of a velvety look to her as well. Very dark purples and greens . She has an amazing smell, woody and earthy with some piny citrus and gas and fruity. Have her hang drying out in my studio above my drums away from the Neville's that's drying. I assume shes going to dry a little quicker than 14 days
Purple devil finished drying in 8 days. I knew it would being so airy and not a lot of plant material. Took half an hour to trim. It is quite tasty. But its too bad I only have 1 ounce to smoke and this will bring my g/plant average down quite a bit. The buds are gorgeous looking though.
